Still aiting for confirmation of the driveway dig today. So much speculation. Nothing I have heard but one line from fox.

We all have to remember that after all the digging, gathering of any kinds of evidence, they must send it off to be tested too. Unless they brought all the equipment with them needed to do so.

From what Jossy said on Fox earlier about the information coming from   "the original suspects" - does it not sound as if the Kalpoe's are talking?

Was Steve Croes an original suspect.

I don't know a thing more than any of you, but if I had to guess right now, I'd say Guido is the "tipster" if there is one.

Wait, didn't we confirm that Jossy misunderstood the question posed by the reporter on Fox News earlier, and stated the search was related to one of the main suspects (and not the "tip" itself)?

What prompted this new search of the VDS home could have been in response to re-evaluating the evidence in the case, couldn't it have?  If I was forced to place a bet here on who a "tipster" was, it'd be Deepak.  I think he'd have the most to gain in placing sole blame on Joran.  Besides, how long can someone be expected remain silent when your life is at stake?

I have spent countless hours in the past 2 years, especially in t he first 3-6 months after Nat went missing, chomping and the bit at this computer , praying, hoping...waiting for the current search at the time to give us all the answers we are praying for, and yet....nothing.

What do you guys think about what is going on now? I know it is a different form of LE..so that is good...But, do you think we are hoping and wishing yet again to just end up with still more unanswered questions?

I must admit that up until today, I was smelling pony poo and fearful it was all for show until they released Joran as a suspect. Jossy's interview this morning on FOX has encouraged me to hope that maybe it's more than that. If they thoroughly reviewed the documents, then their conclusions would be the same as our collective one is here. Joran is lying incessantly and the obvious reason for that is he's guilty and the truth will prove it. I want to believe that they are doing the logical thing: looking for anything that will make what they KNOW hold up in court.
With help from ALE, Joran's side has made this a difficult "proof" to uphold. Even in this country, this is a circumstantial case and IMO, wouldn't be a slam dunk without physical evidence and face it: there's some truth to "no body, no case". It's not impossible but it's hard!

cbb...I am with you.  They DO need evidence.  They may have some(I doubt it but...) They may be looking hard for something so they can Prosecute to the fullest.  They may be determined...  They may have enough to take it to court, but would like more, if they can possibly find it.

Going by the fact that the Sloot house is the target, it doesn't seem like Lorenzo would be the witness. The witness either needed to be at that house during the crime or knows an area where something is placed. I do not know any info that ever placed Lorenzo at that house not even once.

Guido seems like he could have been there (if not for the crime itself) and worked near by and played tennis with Joran. He looks like a logical choice since Joran pissed him off with the book controversy.

I have no info that GVC was ever at the Sloot house.

I have to agree with you on your view about Lorenzo. I think the PIMPs guilty in the disappearance of Natalee ,probably learned the MO from the previous PIMP generation-and Lorenzo was one...having participated heavily in these tourist abductions in the past(this is JMHO) .

I don't think any of us KNOW for sure who was lurking where....we saw pvds come out after a while....I wouldn't doubt that both he and anita were lurking behind the bushes....and since NONE of us were there....your guess is as good as anyone elses

Aruba has a rule/law that if a suspect has not been brought to trial and charged as a criminal 2 years after being designated as a suspect, then he must be released as "suspect status". My understanding is that the search that has taken place would be much more difficult to carry out without that status being in place. Because Joran's still a suspect, they merely informed the Sloots they were doing it.
That rule has been waived in this case already, but MSM hasn't toatlly caught on to that fact.

The only thing that worries me is all the missing evidence that was so readily disposed of.  That probably can't be recovered anymore.
So they are going to have to depend on alot of new evidence, praying they find some good stuff for convictions!

Spock, I answered your question pages ago when you asked.  I told you that Yellow Ribbon had linked a video from local Fox channel in Birmingham last night with a local reporter who was in Aruba, which showed the driveway was taped off "like a crime scene," (and I am quoting her, not me).  She said, "This looks like a modest home in a modest neighborhood, such as you would see in Birmimngham (sic)." She said she had spoken with a neighbor, had caught a glance of Paulus who would not respond to her trying to get him to speak.  The neighbor who has a "lot of vegetation in their yard" said the digging and probing had been going on for 2-3 days.  Then I heard on Fox from Jossy and others that the drivway was being dug up today.

That is not an eye-witness account but all I can offer.  I cannot be in Aruba.

You hit the nail on the head, Dihanna! I would like to hear they are re-examining what does still exists. The car seats should be re-examined forensically, matresses should be examined for age and luminol tested. carpet ripped up and concrete luminoled. Where's the belt? Where's the bones? Where's the videotape at the casino of Paulus/not Paulus leaving the casino?
If someone really is willing to come forward, it would help tremendously!

Also, what's I read about a new arrest in Holland?  Has that been confirmed, or is it yet another inaccuracy in the reporting of this case?
