His parents did not have an issue with a girl staying over. I did not talk to my dad however about the fact that I was already sexually active.

LOL, no the statement wasn't from one of them. It was from someone who had tried to obtain the records in an official capacity. As I recall, the landline records were said to be missing. If I can find the thread, I will bring it over here.

Good to find such discussion!  Who would have server access?  Where are the records managed?  A customer service person?  Complex billing arrangements are made for many kinds of businesses.  Complex billing arrangements are required today.  All connected by links.  JMHO

Here are some of my thoughts.  Many old applications/programs, some 20+ years old are still in service today.  Simply put, old mainframe programs, running on newer hardware.  Why?  Because the old home grown applications were well written and there is nothing off the shelf that would work as well.  JMHO

Could be a small program, could be a larger program.  In today's world, it would not be unknown to slap a new 'web' based 'front end' on something.  Looks modern, but behind the scenes, it's still the old mainframe app., with perhaps a few enhancements.  Only the old school programmer knows for sure.  MO

Where does this happen?  In larger companies, think those that may have bought and sold pieces, over a period of years or perhaps smaller companies that did not modernize.  Why?  The larger companies may not have the desire to integrate the bits and pieces, perhaps there is no long term view.  The old keeps chugging along.  Newer companies, companies that have grown, or that are forward looking, may be modern and up to date with their systems.  Used Y2K as a reason to modernize and purchase integrated software.  MO

Why does it matter?  In older systems there may be security, passwords, etc. to access.  However, there may not be a good record keeping of who and when changes were made.  MO

Perhaps there is a table of what is current, with no record of what was yesterday, or last month.

Perhaps there is a monthly record of "what is" at month end, but with no idea who or when changes were made.  One would need to compare the month end differences to determine 'if' a change was made.  

Perhaps there is a monthly record that shows who may have made a change, but not if and what changes were made.  Think of the times you are asked to confirm something on the computer - answer either "Y/N" - even if you have made no change, but just hit enter.  Would that transaction be recorded?  Would someone know who, when, and what, if anything was changed?

Some old applications recorded not only who (user id), but when, and what was changed.  Newer systems, the law, and big companies require better record keeping of changes.  Older systems kept track of changes by limiting access to tables, perhaps not recording what, who, and why.  MO

But, one would have to know what the application was.  It is strange that the records were lost.  I have to wonder "How?"  What does 'lost' mean exactly?  What kind of system was/is being used?  How hard / easy would it be to 'lose' something?  Or, does 'lose' mean we can't explain the who, what, and when of the loss?  

Who manages the phone service in Aruba?  What kind of software/systems are in use?  Is it old with a newer front end?  Or, something new and modern?  Younger people do not learn 20+ year old languages.  It's often left to a dying group of individuals.  JMHO

In older systems, changes may become lost with time and hard to trace.  Files overwritten, storage space overwritten.  The longer the time that passes, the harder it is to reconstruct.  JMHO

Just my thoughts.  The phone records have always been interesting to me.  Does that make sense to you?  Can you see how records could be changed?  Would a customer service person printing off a list of calls really know the links behind the bill they are printing?  JMHO

You all go to the same schools, know the same crowd, go to the same clubs to go out and pick up girls. You have to be really good in order to be a player. Joran personally knows a few guys who have 2 or 3 phones for that reason. Joran only had 1 and that was private. I did not like it when girls were looking in my phone who I had been phoning/text messaging with. "If you would trust me, you would not check up on my through my phone" is what Joran would say to them. But he did not deserve that trust because he was no angel.

- sometimes we would rent a hotel room. I happened that three guys were in the same room having sex with girls. I was given a blow job on a balcony once by an American girl while Deepak was in the bathroom with a girl and Freddy was in the room proper with a girl too. But we did never share a girl or did threesomes. That was going way too far for me. We did however make topless pictures of a girl in a hotel room once.

- I don't really enjoy telling you about all these things. I think my private life is my own business. But I have no choice and have to tell these things because I want to be honest. Everyone I know has been questioned and every secret I have ever had has come out. Because I am a so-called "public figure" people can say anything they want about me, so I no longer have a private life.

I was a 21year old 3 decades ago give or take...went to CA on a vacation with 5 other young women after graduation.  When in Yosemite, a tour guide told us blatantly that we looked like hussies (sp?)...because we had worn halter tops, hot pants & nail polish....we were so bewildered, insulted and embarrassed....we were just wearing what the east had as current for that time...hussy was the farthest from our minds and not on our agenda....the stereotype didn't fit then and it doesn't fit now...imo....the American girls reference just brought that memory back....it wasn't nice.

I am very sad.  Tonight I was in line at Walmart  ... buying a super soaker (water gun) for our grandson's 4th birthday tomorrow when I picked up the National Enquirer.  I feel justified reading  these magazines when I am forced to wait in a lineup to spend hard earned money.  Anyways ... within the pages was the article discussed earlier today on the forum regarding Beth Twitty and John Ramsey.  I hope with all my heart it is not true.  I have had faith that Jug and Beth would reconcile.  Those two have gone through so much in the past two years ... the stress on their relationship must have been overwhelming.  Nevertheless ... I was praying that after a period of time apart ...

3:13 -- [6 minutes after val logs on to forum on VDS computer] Joran sends text from cell to Deepak's MSN saying he's home and will go online.

3:25 - Deepak sends 4 messages from his MSN screen name to Joran's MSN screen name. Joran misses the messages and says he's in kitchen.

3:33 - Message sent from Joran's MSN screen name to Deepak's MSN screen name.

3:35 - Joran's hotmail accessed.

Well, I don’t think Joran’s book will be winning any prizes.  What an amateurish bunch of drivel coming from an overly inflated teenage ego.  Some of it does prove out the early suspicions about that night.  The pickup line about being a tourist is most notable.  The rest of it is ego stroking crap.  Someone needs to put that guy’s fat head in a vice and slowly squeeze the truth out of his lying mouth!

I didn’t watch either program last night, but I noticed that Fox’s Crime Scene and CBS’ 48 Hours/Mystery both did a show about Kathy Augustine last night.  Why?  Is there something new going on with that case?

I can have to believe this case has mushroomed into something far worse than the original crimes (if they weren't bad enough on their own) into something that is going to take a bit of brawn and brains to tear limb from limb. The Aruban Authorities have had 2 years to monkey(no pun intended) with all the records. It's going to take a lead investigator with more than just savvy to unravel this thing and get to the bottom of who did what.

I went rowing with a brazilian and an argentinian . We found some cool fossils , and met some great people on our trip and ate lots of fish which we caught on the river . While the case does not have lots of following and or public interest in the netherlands. I mean if you are  supposedly innocent , why attract more attention , If it for the money It shows bad taste. I have not followed the case for a longtime . So I cannot comment.

He seems to be publishing the book both for the money and the attention. I don't think the possibility that he could be incriminating himself has ever occured to him.

Well my friends brought me to a public hospital , Which are really disguting overhere . There I met with vice chief of police at my bed in the morning . ( there are not to many dutch guys around in my hometown so that certainly attracted the attention of the police. )And he offerded me the following deal , Or pass 2 years of juridical proceses , lawyers etc, or pay the police 200 usd to take care of him . So I paid  200 usd they kicked the hell out of this guy and let him go .

Well, that's certainly one way of handling it.  :D

Well I did not celebrate queensday in Argentina. Yes during that time I was floating with my Kayak sloop john B downsteam . I took my trip from Lapaz City in Argentina to Rosario . Was an amazing trip , Everytime we arrived in small villages people lent us there garden for camping or let us use there facilities for nothing . I really regained confidence in people again.

I think we could make the lotto folks envious at the prospects of "pursuading" Joran to tell the truth!  :lol:

Deepak made this statement about 10-15 days after what happened to Natalee.  He knows there are phone records and there must be a hell of a lot we haven't seen.  Like Klaas said he knows exactly what happened and is making an excuse because they have something on him regarding those records.  No way could his phone have been monitored a few hours after he so called left Natalee and he would know this.

Why aren't all the suspects sitting in a cell until they can explain all the inconsistencies.  :roll:

And add a timeline to their statements, put it all in a spreadsheet, compare what they claim happened, and then smack them all hard for the inconsistencies.

And forget the insignificant stuff. Go straight for the list of inconsistancies, and ask them all seperately, far away from each other, and Paulus. They could get a remarkable list from this forum of what to hone in on! These three haven't had any poolside chats lately and a lots been said by bass-mouth Joran since those staements were made.

Peaches, I hope you are doing well.  I hope your toothache is but a sad memory.  I spoke with the mother of my son's friend from Manor, Georgia, yesterday.  We had called his number to see how they were faring with the fires.  She called yesterday and said their house was threatened, and they had had to move out earlier in the week, but they were back in the house yesterday, house intact, but smoke on the horizon.  She said their house would need painting and they were cleaning it really well right then, secondary to the smell.  The good news was that they were safe.

Unless San- his phone was being tapped BEFORE Natalee ever got to Aruba. The Goon Child was on a Watch List.. I'd still like to know why. That seems important to me.

One correction, as Aruba's "rainy" season is November-December.  The tradewinds usually keep the weather at bay January-March so there is not much more than a late afternoon sun shower there during those months.  Even in the rainy season you are looking at maybe an inch a week (there of course are exceptions to every rule of thumb).

Klaas, a few updates for you:

1) Deepak chatted with this Croes person not just on the early morning of the 30th but also on the following couple nights. I think the "hands in my pants statement" was made Tuesday morning.

2) The Sloot home phone records "landline" were missing for May 29-30. The phone taps went into effect a few days after that and there are records for those calls. It is quite a mystery how the early phone records could have become "lost".

I will update with sources when I have them.

On your question what made me think that the police would be monitoring our phones, I can say the following. The purpose of the chat traffic was to help the police and the Office of the DA with regard to the investigation so that they could see that I was indeed home in the night from Sunday to Monday. But I have understood that they do not have the chat traffic from that night but that they do have the one from Tuesday. I know the technical procedure, so if they have the one from Tuesday than they should be looking for the one from Sunday to Monday. If I had anything to hide than I would have never told the police about John Charles CROES. Because that just worsened the situation. Even though this never happened, about the girl putting her hands in/down my pants, I would like to know what kind of crime this is. I am again saying this never happened, but it is just my question to the district attorney.

I wonder if Steve is aware that bag was observed in a drainage basin, about 30 yards from the fisherman's huts...

I really need to consider professional help to wean me from my Natalee Holloway addiction.  I sat through the the entire service this morning and ... the words of the pastor went right over my head.  I could not stop thinking about Deepak's words in his June 13, 2005 declaration regarding his chat with John Charles Croes.  It did not make sense that he was referring the morning of May 30, 2005.

When Deepak's words in his June 13, 2005 declaration is compared with the words of his June 29, 2005 delaration ... I would assume that Deepak is referring to the chat he had with John Charles Croes on May 31, 2005 ... not May 30, 2005.

One way or another ... Deepak is admitting he attempted to obstruct the investigation.

At approximately 02:40, we had arrived at his house, but no-one was there. Joran phoned his father. The father had left with the police to meet with us at the Wyndham. Joran's father told him to stay at the house and that he was going to come back to the house now. Then borrowed Joran's phone and called Satish. I told Satish what Joran had told me. The conversation lasted about 3 to 4 minutes.

After about 10 minutes Joran phoned Satish. Joran verified with Satish if he remembered the story correctly. Joran talked to Satish about 3 minutes.

I strongly urge those that belong to the ATA who have the trigger pulling power to make decisions, to do so and to do so to the benefit of the BB , To the ATA and (most importantly) to Aruba.

Registration is needed and some sort of monitoring system is a must. Give this some serious thought since the image of our island is involved.

Also, remember that at one point durring the summer of 2005 Charles Croes was arrested and in jail for a few days.  I've often wondered if that was a warning for him to keep his mouth shut.

Thank you, Kermit, for bringing this forward.  When I mentioned the manipulation of the clocks and calendars on computers, phones, I was given the "that's BS," line.  I heard this from an FBI agent and here it is in the National Enquirer, who probably got their information from same source.  It was about this time that FBI help was no longer wanted for they were too knowledgeable of the criminal activity of the VDS family and Charles Croes, et al.

What if Freddy had been at the Sloots for the night.  He lived close so came over without shoes.  When something bad happened, he threw on Joran's shoes to help out.  Might explain why Freddy needs to buy Joran a pair.  Freddy lost or ruined the shoes???

1.  Natalee went missing in the early hours of May 30, 2005
2.  Deepak was out at the casino with Joran the night of May 30, 2005
3.  Deepak was with Joran at Joran's house waiting for the police and the MB group to return at 2:40am the morning of May 31, 2005.

Conclusion:  Deepak COULD NOT have had that chat conversation with John Charles Croes in the early morning of May 31, 2005.

If Freddy put on Joran's shoes I don't think he would be walking too well in them.  That would be like Klaas walking in my shoes.  I'm a 10 1/2 and I believe Klaas is a 5.  If I was doing something bad I would want to make sure I have the right size on just in case I have to run.

I agree Klaas! ....Also in the above post, first Deepak calls Satish to make sure he has his "lies" straight. Then Joran phones Satish a few minutes later, to again make sure Satish has the "lies" straight.....Those three suspects worked VERY HARD to keep their "lies" straight. Sure, people tell fibs once in awhile. But the length these three went to to lie, and try to stick to those lies, was way beyond normal. Until they got caught, of course. They were trying TOO HARD to hide something, that is for sure. It is beautiful here and I have company...but you know how it is. I had to get my monkey fix! See you all later.

This is how I look at things.  If they said they were looking for one shoe it really must be a pair of sneakers that are missing.  I also believe if in fact they were missing a pair of sneakers they in fact have them in their possession.

Klaas do you know the date when this so called APB was put out.  Doesn't that make the ALE dumb.  They probably had a line around the block with missing sneakers that were found on the beach.

I have only heard the ALE put out two APBs.  One was for a white car and the other was for a sneaker :roll:

Something had really been bothering me about the Dutch / KLPD investigations. I'm going on the record and say something is not right.

I also realize they are investigating the Namdar issue.

When the KLPD first went to the VDS home and began the search they brought the dogs and the poles to poke holes presumably. They ran the dogs over the hole to see if there was the scent of a decaying body under the soil.

The following day they brought the refrigeration truck in and all indications seem they were actually looking for the body of Natalee. As we know currently, no body was discovered.

What were the indications that Natalee may be in the garden that the KLPD felt the need to bring the refrigeration truck in? Without making any statements about the investigation, no one will probably ever know what exactly occurred in that search that allowed the KLPD to reach that determination.

The KLPD investigation could actually leave more questions than answers should there not be a re-arrest of the main suspects.

I don't think they would waste their time and effort bring a refrigeration truck in if they did not have some idea that they were going to find something of importance.

I agree with 100% I remember it well..Just another thing we have on tape/records that shows devious police activity. Now Joran says he left them both on the beach and it goes unchallenged. I remember very clearly Dompig in a interview talking about exactly what you said. If thats the case someone should be arrested for obstruction of justice. Falsifying facts in a murder investigation.. I know fat chance!!

All I can think of was that the KIA thing where Joran puts on a pair of 10 1/2 was that it was staged. I dont think any Investigator could look at a pair of shoes and not immediately know the diffrence in shoe sizes. Even size 12 to size 14 in noticeable. So I dont think it was a misprinted  10 1/2 that was really size 14.

My hubby is 5'10" and wears a size 10 shoe, and he doesn't have unusually large feet.  :lol:

Joran would look very strange in a size 10.5 shoe, IMO.

All my brothers are more than 6-2 and they all wear 13-1/2 upwards.  Their shoes have to be special ordered.  Neither is exceptionally large, just tall.  In fact, two of them are downright skinny.

Yes I remember that photo.  They are his dirty sneakers. He must wear those for his kidnapping night because he eventually drags his victim and leaves them on the beach so he doesn't want to get his good ones dirty.

Sort of like when you mow the lawn you have a special pair of sneakers because you don't want your good ones turning green.

These shoes look like Doc Marten's to my eye.  Something my kids were into back in the 1990s.

I agree with you..I would be absolutely be amazed if he wore a size 11 or under.Even the pic where he had his feet up by the laptop dont look that huge..14 is pretty huge even compared to my size 12. I see it every day on my brothers feet.

The picture on the stage is interesting... the girl in flipflops next to him doesn't look like her feet are that much smaller than his. She can't be anything larger than a women's 10, so I am starting to come around to the idea of Joran having shoes smaller than 14.

Even in the award picture, the petite girl next to him does not appear to be dwarfed by him.

By the looks of this photo I would say those shoes are at least size 12.

SB, my brothers have big feet and brains (even that Florida Gator) and they always said "small feet are a sign of small thinking," (of course, that was so our mother felt proud of the purchase of special shoes) but I do believe his feet might be indicative of small thinking.  Anyone who resorts to the kinds of activities these PIMPS were into, is definitely a small thinker.

A 14 is really a very big shoe size, we generally don't realize how big it is. I suspect that klassend with her shoes ON could stick her feet into a size 14 men's shoe with no difficulty. They are big, MASSIVE shoes. They are probably more like 18 inches lond on the outside.

There has to be some type of science behind all this foot stuff, but I have never seen it.  I wear a 10 1/2 but I have to have a wide shoe.  My ring size is a 14 and that surprises people because my hand and fingers look very proportionate to my size.  Maybe there is no good rule to follow.....

Have we ever verified Joran's height?  He is usually photographed with those of diminutive stature and I have always thought he looks only about 6'2" not 6'5" as he does not tower over other Caucasians when photographed with them.  The Dutch interrogator stated on the record that the 10.5 fit Joran fine with regard to toe size having verified this by having Joran put the shoe back on and feeling.  Joran tried to get his attorney to stop this but his attorney did not stop it and it is in the record.  If he really wore a Size 14, he would destroy a pair of 10.5 or destroy his feet one or the other.  Jossy seemed pretty certain the Dutch investigator had caught him lying about the Size 14.

Our nose, ears and feet continue to grow all our lives and he is still very young.

I used spend time talking to the lady scientist who ran the museum and dig near the dump there... off the freeway, north of the V to Laughlin and north to Vegas.. to the left and N of the V, sort of up the mountains, north, from the town. Leaky said the oldest remains of man would be found there. They have found rock tools but no bones. He was scheduled to come there, but he died.

ORANJESTAD (AAN) --- Those of a little advanced or respectable age can still remember the time where there was an alcoholic beverage that was called ‘foot sweller’.

This alcoholic beverage, it was said, that those who drank too much of it, their feet swelled and because of this they called the drink ‘foot sweller’, but who can believe that in the year 2005 there are people in Aruba whose feet really swell or grow almost 4 sizes from one day to the other?

This was the case of the suspect Joran van der Sloot, who is currently peacefully studying in Holland and Aruba itself is stuck with the case of Natalee, and in the US they are trying in every way to organize and implement all sorts of boycotts and acts that could harm Aruba in the wide sense of the word.



This is not an attempt to cast guilt on Joran van der Sloot in the case of Natalee, but the fact is that the majority of people in the community is very angry in regards to the case of Natalee causing a negative impact on the economic situation, the image of the people of Aruba and surely, for the island’s tourism.


Too many changing declarations, formal deceit by the suspects and the very strange way in which the authorities, who have to be competent, have proceeded have today stuck Aruba in a very bad situation in regards to Natalee’s case and those who know the truth remain quiet believing that in this way, they can evade guilt of any involvement or any violation of the law.

From the copies of different police reports, today readers themselves can read how Joran van der Sloot, who until today for inexplicable reasons ‘supposedly’ left his expensive brand name running shoes at the beach on the night he was with Natalee, according to the version he gave police.

Police came up with the matter of the running shoes or it was Joran himself who started talking about the running shoes of an expensive brand name, size 14? From the police report of June 14, 2005, readers can read how Joran himself declared that he took off his size 14 running shoes and left them on the beach.

On June 29, 2005, he again repeated to police that he left his size 14 running shoes on the beach. The strange thing is that on August 2, 2005, after so many interrogations had already taken place, Joran van der Sloot in a car heading back to KIA, told a Dutch police officer who came to Aruba especially to interrogate the suspects, that Joran had on some K-Swiss running shoes that he borrowed from a fellow prisoner.

At no moment did the Dutch police officer ask Joran something, it was Joran himself who started talking with the police officer, as can been seen from the police report.

Now, the question is: was Joran brought from the first day to KIA shoeless and had no shoes to wear that it was a fellow prisoner who had to lend Joran a pair of running shoes?

Van der Sloot’s parents couldn’t bring shoes for Joran to wear, and someone from the prison had to lend him some shoes, and to top it all off they were K-Swiss brand?

By the way, at KIA they have to register, as in the majority of prisons around the world, what shoes and other belongings each person comes in with, yes or no? On August 8, 2005, the same Dutch police officer asked Joran to take off his shoe, which was a K-Swiss brand running shoe.

Joran asked to see his lawyer and wanted to find his lawyer’s support, but his lawyer didn’t even look at Joran and started to write (in local dialect, you deal with your problems!) After the Dutch police officer insisted, Joran took off the running shoe and handed it over across the table.

The police officer asked Joran how in the supposed day that he was with Natalee on the beach, he had size 14 K-Swiss running shoes, then how was the one that Joran put on the table size 10.5?

After Joran put his running shoe back on, the police pressed on the tip of the running shoes, and observed that the shoes were a good fit on Joran, and Joran didn’t react!

The matter of the size 14 K-Swiss running shoes is ‘too good to be true’. Was it the shark that Natalee supposedly wanted to see at the North shore that left with Joran van der Sloot’s size 14 running shoes?

Absolutely unbelievable!  From what I've read the "authorities" believe he overdosed himself, yeah right....  I think Klaasend has a point, what did this guy see, know, or maybe even threaten to tell that caused his horrible demise?  The punishment for all involved makes me wonder if they would have even been tried at all if there wasn't so much attention on this happy little island.

So Joran is likely to grow until he is 21 as most males tend to do.  He will then be 6'8" wearing a Size 20 shoe!

He is prolly about 6'3" now.  I have a son that height and since we seem to tend to believe what size shoe others wear more than what an examination of Joran's foot in a Size 10.5 showed, he wears an 11 narrow

Tall people with smallest feet do NOT topple over.  They do tend to turn their ankles often which is fairly common.

I don't understand how if his foot was measured in the 10.5 and it was a very comfortable fit, so much so that he was wearing a brand new pair just that size, why this is still a big mystery.

His foot was measured inside a 10.5 and it fit nicely according to Dutch interrogator.Feet, nose and ears continue to grow.  By the time Joran is 40, what size shoe will he be wearing?  

And if he is 6'5" why isn't he very much taller than anybody else except for his short stocky mother?  He isn't and neither does he wear a 14 shoe!

I posted it TWICE.  The DUTCH measured Jorans foot inside the 10.5 new pair of shoes he was wearing and it fit nicely.
Jossy wrote that whole article about it.  I posted a link to it just a couple of weeks ago, too.

Right, and the Dutch interrogator was too stupid to notice a little thing like that??? Several of those were women and they certainly would notice that from measuring kids feet all the time.

And he bought a new pair four sizes too small for what reason?  Especially if he were trying to convince all he wore 14, he'd buy the new ones 14 unless he bought them before he thought of that game to play.

Go ahead and fall for it!  I really don't care any more but I know what I know and his foot is not a size 14 if it fits in a 10.5 comfortably.
