Has anyone read that the new judge is not a proponent of cameras in the courtroom? I saw this on another forum and for the life of me can't find anything to back this up.

The defense can try all the smoke and mirrors tricks in the world..but that will not change the facts of the case.  This Judge Perry seems to be perfect in nailing down the facts of DP cases and applying them during penalty phase.  I think he is not going to pussy foot around Baez, Lyons or Mason.  I think this is a judge that will rule the court room and not take kindly to ill written motions and unprepared defense attorneys.  I think Brad Conway better put a very short leash on Cindy and George.  And Mason better save the good ole boy routine for another case.  Lyons won't get by with her theatrical presentations and Baez better leave the clown shoes back in the main arena.

..cue the circus music...     Baez and co. have gotten back to what they've given up in the last while.  Lights, camera, action.  Forget about the letters, forget about the A's and possible involvement.   Look over here..at the lawyers. Reminds me off a post by someone saying she had  randomly seen JB loading several new suits into his car about a month ago, .

Publicity and exposure, even with some negative thrown in has been the hallmark of this defense. There's no coincidence that they were able to fuel a firestorm right at the moment that proceedings were taking shape and form.  Now they can glorify themselves ( achieving the real goal, personal fame) on show after show, talk about all the decisions that now become suspect, the bias of the court and because the media is all about the one trick pony, the REAL ISSUE, Caylee Marie's murder, is nothing more than a title phrase to get to the "meat" of the story .  This is  the exact result that they hope to achieve with any aspect of this case, corruption. They hope to show that there is corruption from the top to the bottom.

Good afternoon Monkeys---Good post, Gypsy.  I agree with what you say about Judge Perry's likely future rulings.  So far, Baez et al have gotten away with some shenigans which made me wonder why Judge Strickland allowed them.  I think Judge Strickland was bending over backward to accommodate the defense within the law.  They will, IMO, regret having filed the Motion to Recuse.

I think a judge can issue a gag order on his own.  I think that if that is true, Judge Perry will do so as well as removing the cameras.  I would hate to have the cameras removed just from the standpoint of curiosity, but I think we have all seen Baez and Conway as well as the rest of them playing to the cameras. 

If I were the judge, I'd gag Baez and the rest and keep them off TV where Baez has now convinced himself he is a media star.  I'd also put a gag order on everything except the discovery which FL Sunshine Law requires to be released to the media, just to keep bloggers like me happy.  Not that he cares if I'm happy or not but just because....

Baez and his compatriots must have been stunned when Judge Strickland recused himself.  I don't think they ever expected that. Judge Strickland has spent much of his time on this case in the last two or so years and it must be something of a disappointment as well as a well earned relief to be off this horrible case. Now maybe he can get his life back.

oh la la ...I can not wait to read this.  It must be adding more fuel to the fire.  Baez is now a fire fighter....he is trying to rewritte history in this case..and everytime the facts come out..he has more little fires to try to deflect.

You have to read the entire quote to get his perception - it is about protecting witnesses and not showing some type of cases.
