The picture in the Globe that Sea posted last nite made Casey look really angry when she was washing Caylees face.  Another time when she pushed the ice cream in the babies face, I though that was very cruel.  You might do that to say a 10 year old child and the child would understand and think it was funny, but I dont think a 2 year could possibly understand that.

It seemed like the evil mommy unveiled itself at times.

Definitely!!  I hated the one where she put the whipped cream (or whatever it was) on her face, she didn't do it nicely, but like she was irritated with her.  Damn B-word!

http://www.wftv.com/video/17398425/index.html

Actually what happens is Casey's holding Caylee, who's eating a fistful of cake. Cindy takes Caylee's arm and shoves the cake in Casey's face. Casey then shoves the cake into Caylee's face, then starts to hand her to Cindy and when Cindy opens her arms uses Caylee's little fist to shove cake in Grandma's face. Caylee looks confused, but she doesn't cry or laugh or anything. Casey and Cindy seem to think they're hilarious, here. It's weird. Caylee's enjoying the cake. Oblivious to the crazy antics of the two "moms," a man's voice says, "she loves it," referring to the cake I think . Caylee IS really enjoying the cake until Casey and Cindy start using it as a weapon.

I get the feeling this sort of thing happened a lot, and that Caylee probably wasn't allowed to really enjoy much of anything without being caught in a crossfire.

What happened to Caylee this night? The night of June 10th - CA said in her interview KC & Caylee were not home that night - WHERE WAS CAYLEE?

RM: There was one time that I can remember while we were dating that she actually started the night they were both in, in my bed.
DR: Uh-hum (affirmative).
RM: Uhm, I woke up the next morning and it was just Casey. Caylee, uh, uhm, yeah (affirmative) Casey. And Casey told me that uhm, her mom had called during the night and wanted her to bring Caylee home

I'm not sure but how could anything really bad have happened if Caylee was there on June 15th for Father's Day?

Depends on how bad you think it is to be stowed in a car overnight.  No way did Casey get up, drive Caylee home, and come back and get back in RM's bed.

Probably a huge reason that I have been thinking about the MPD defense is that I just cannot wrap my head around this entire thing.  I cannot come to terms with a family that probably would seem so normal on the surface, but be so completely dysfunctional.  I just cannot understand how parents could tap dance around someone so manipulative.  They knew she really wasn't working.  Were they afraid of her?  Were they just trying to fool their little world into thinking they were the perfect family??  Where are their friends and co-workers?  There has been no attempt by anyone, but the people they have hired, to come to their aid.  Think about that, the only people willing to step forward in their defense have had to be paid to do so.  I find that incredible.  I guess we will just have to see what unfolds.  I do wonder if there was someone who could have spotted what was going on and helped in some way?  Could no one see that Caylee was a pawn in the family, being used by them in some kind of power struggle?

Wow, I think your post is a great one.  Yes, I think both G and C were afraid of KC because she had Caylee and had control over who saw Caylee and who didnt.  I'm sure that KC had threatened multiple times that if G and C turned her in for something, she would make sure that they wouldnt see Caylee.

Also, I think the A's distanced themselves from everyone.  The Grund's seem to be the only other family that got close enough to see how KC operated.  That didnt last long.  I think the whole family knew how "messed up" they were and would not let themselves get close enough for other people to see what was really going on in their "sweet normal world."  Thus, that kept KC in control using Caylee as the pawn.      IMOO.

If i know one thing about crazy is that her mom is even crazier. I actually believe that story, it sounds to me like something cindy would bitch about until casey came home with the baby....she probably told her mom she was at a late event..thats why cindy didnt recall it...like if she can recall anything correct!

Night JSM.  I think we are all just doing the same thing here.  Just trying to figure out stuff that makes no sense.  I think we are all trying to be advocates for the victims and all feel the same frustrations that this happens over and over again in this world and we are helpless, in the most part, to stop it.
Thanks AKmom. I just sometimes don't know what to do for victims. I had a friend who was pregnant at the time murdered. Her baby was born alive then sadly passed away. I think of her daily. Back then there was no internet, SM, or anything to help her family and friends. I am so glad and thank God for Red, Klaas, Muffy and all here that give murdered victims a voice. And I know he is never around anymore, but I thank Rob for his kind words when I first started posting. He is an angel. Too bad he is never around anymore.

You know JSM, you have to be the sweetest monkey around. I really like you!
Thanks Boo, I like you too. I have just had a hard night tonight thinking Casey will get off. My friend's murderer was never found. Even though some of us know who was probably the one that had it done, it has been unsolved for almost 20 years. That's what makes this case really stick with me. Kisses to the big baby dog for me. Also stay warm.

Not a chance. You know all the good stuff they have made public? That isn't even 1/2 of what they have on her!! They are saving the really good stuff for the trial!! We just don't know about it yet. You just wait, our jaws will be dropping and we will wonder why we worried so! Have faith in LE and your Beary, they did right by Caylee!!

I agree Boo.I think there is alot we haven't heard. The thougfhts of hearing any worse than what we already know is scary.

Thanks so much for this information, Wyks.  It is a fascinating subject, but probably not so much for someone who has actually experienced it.  I appreciate your insight.  I would really like to be in the same room with her just for a few minutes.  I'd like to get a first hand impression of her.  Of course, I'd like to see her looking like Hannibal Lector, all trussed up wouldn't trust her any farther than I could throw her.

You're welcome akmom!  Glad to help.  I'd like to be in the same room with her too.  Five minutes, that's all I ask.     Bet we monkeys could get the truth out of her, eh?

Morning Trim!! Ahh what I would do with an entire evening with KC Anthony. I am a firm believer that children and drunks always tell the truth. I would throw my gift of the gab with her, pull out my bag of pot, and buy her a bottle of tequila. Get her so twisted, and ask trick questions like..." so what did you do when you dropped caylee off with zenaida on the 16?"

..ahh wishes..

Hi mt!  Have you heard how MM's grbabies are doing?

Hi Mammy

I have been lurking for awhile, but saw your post.   The baby boy is not doing so well but we are praying for him.  The premature baby girl is doing better.  Not easy to talk about.  But thanks for asking.

Marymary,
I don't post much, mostly lurk. But, I just wanted to say that I will be praying for the babies! My heart goes out to you and your family. My son was 2 months premature, so I know what your family is going through. It's a hard thing to handle.
Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

Thank you Kimber, it is very hard and a helpless feeling.  I don't know when you had your baby but I hope all is well with him.  Thank you for sharing and prayers.  MM

Will be praying for you and your family. Try to rest when you can and take care of your self.

Happy New Year everybody - just a quick post here as I've got to go run errands.

I still cannot be of the opinion that George or Cin Cin were in the dark regarding what may have befallen Caylee on the evening of the 15th, as the natural reaction would have been for them to have called LE while still at the towyard upon smelling that odor.

George even remarked about his relief to the tow yard man that it wasn't his daughter or grandaughter in there once the car was opened.  But, he had already expressed his distress to the towyard man that his daughter [ and I think grandaughter ] had been nowhere to be found for quite sometime.

So, if he is really ignorant of their fate & whereabouts, he would have become very frightened at the odor on the spot and would have immediately contacted LE from the towyard for help, in my opinion.   This has always nagged me and speaks volumes.  And then we hear Lee's amusement at his father having to drive the stinky car home - we don't hear any natural concern  [ regarding  the cause of the odor ] from Lee either.  Did all three already know everything ?  Was everything simply a public 'cover your rear' charade beginning with those 911 calls ?  Things do not add up starting then, imo.

IMO they all suspected Casey was guilty, but none of them could prove it. I think all of them half hoped she wasn't, and that eventually it would turn out that the decomp in the car was a dog she had hit while joyriding, and meant to bury and forgot about. Or a guy who tried to rape &  kill her and Caylee and she killed him a la Thelma & Louise, and rode around with him in the trunk awhile trying to think what to do before throwing him in the river....or anything, anything but Caylee.

George would have become frightened at the odor, sure, but he also mentioned thinking that Casey finally ripped off the wrong guy....IMO he may have thought there were bigger forces involved, like Mafia, corrupt LE, and/or gangs, and that LE would be useless against that kind of thing anyway. He couldn't prove Casey did it, and he didn't want to be stuck with an acquitted Casey in the house who had a vendetta against him and the family.

Lee & Cindy, IMO, suspected Casey was guilty, but when they thought about what it would be like if they cooperated with LE and then Casey was acquitted, or what it would be like if Casey had a large violent gang of child pornographers and drug dealers on her side against them, they decided to play it safe, because they did NOT have any solid proof against Casey. They didn't know where the body was.

Cindy got the friends together to work on the timeline and make sure they were "all on the same page emotionally." She "didn't want to lose another one," and she didn't want to believe what was happening was even possible, and she was ready to believe that whatever was in the trunk, it wasn't Caylee. She convinced herself that Casey didn't kill Caylee, and went into deep denial. Unconsciously she actually tried to tell on Casey. The whole family in between the lines is pumping Casey for information and she knows it.

She decides she doesn't want to see Lee anymore, because he keeps calling her on her lies. She tells him in code where the body is hoping he'll move the body, but he doesn't. She decides he's on the side of LE. Which he probably IS.

I've always known the pool ladder story was a complete fabrication. And I think they told that whopper to let Casey see they were "on her side." They're supporting her 100%. But they'll say RIGHT IN FRONT OF LP, that they ought to give the wrong hairbrush, so Casey will hear and know how loyal they are.

I don't think any of them want Casey free. They just don't want her dead.

Good morning NO1ZLADIE.
Yes the people of the spirits ( ) will usually tell it like it is.My brother always did. Children are honest until they learn the bad habits of adults they are surrounded by.
If I were in a room with Casey I'd make sure she was the only one doing the dope and alcohol.I'd be taking notes like crazy.

Just some general thoughts on the family dynamics in the Anthony family, my thoughts from the personal experience of my own family.  I see similarities between my family and the Anthonys.

In my own family, my sister (I'll call her Sarah) got pregnant when she was 17 and unmarried.  My parents gave her the choice of adopting the baby out or keeping the baby.  I don't know why, but Sarah kept the baby even though she still liked to party.  She would stay out all night and my parents would try to put their foot down but Sarah's behavior didn't change.  For the welfare of her daughter ("Sue"), my parents became the primary caretakers of the child.

My parents were totally in love with "Sue".  While my parents felt that they failed Sarah (they were really ashamed of her sexual promiscuity, laziness, selfishness and dishonesty), they grew to love Sarah and dote on her.  It's almost as if they were making up for where they (felt they) went wrong with my sister.  I would say they even put "Sue" on a pedestal.

Sarah felt judged and trapped because of the pregnancy, and she was very jealous of the attention that Sue got.  (My sister, like Casey, was very self absorbed and a pathological lier.)

My sister passed away a few years ago . . . and although there was no physical violence between Sarah and her daughter, there was a lot of psychological abuse and emotional neglect.  They had not talked for 20 years before her death.  They never ever bonded, never had a mother/daughter relationship.

For a long time my parents had me convinced that my sister was a bad person because she got pregnant.  I now have empathy for my sister because I guess she was trapped into acting like she was someone she wasn't (she wasn't ready to be a parent).  However, I also realize that my sister was narcisstic and was quick to justify her selfish and dishonest behavior because she felt judged or trapped.

The biggest problem with Sarah was her lies.  Her behavior dominated the family.  The rest of us in the family (me included) enabled her behavior because she was downright scary when confronted or it just fell on deaf ears.

Of course I feel like Sarah is like Casey and Sue is like Caylee.  I identify with the dysfunction that affected the family and the way that for the most part no one confronted my sister or Casey.

I think Cindy put all her energies into Caylee and made her the center of her world and Casey resented it.  Where she may have gone wrong with Casey, she was making it all good with Caylee.

I am not excusing Casey's behavior.  If my sister was alive today, I would take her by the shoulders and shake her and try to get her to see the light so to speak.  But I know she would just do as she always did, tell bold faced impossible to believe lies and never hold herself accountable for her behavior.

I am at peace with my family dynamics (therefore, I am not telling you this for any kind of sympathy).  Understanding that many families have problems and being honest about my past has really contributed to my healing.  It is also helped that I have had a spiritual awakening through a 12 step recovery program.

By the way, no one would guess we were such a dysfunctional family . . . a lot of energy was spend on appearing to be normal!

Karen

Karen,  That was extremely well written, thanks for sharing.  I too, can relate to that kind of family dynamics.  My sister could've been your sister they sound extremely close in behavior, physically and psychologically.  I'm glad you have accepted it and can move forward.  My sister is still alive today but I cannot see my own "flesh and blood" being an abuser...I guess I live in denial, I dunno, but when I see her or even hear her talk, I get a sick feeling in my stomach.  The lies she told were phenominal.  I told her she should've been a car salesman.  She would've made a million dollars for the BS stories she told us. Now My mom is raising her kids (2 kids to 2 different fathers)....

Thanks Monkeys. I didn't think there was anything new, but you know, sometimes I miss things right in front of me!

I figured things would be slow with the holidays, but now everything is over (have to take my tree down today), I would expect to be hearing more things. Especially when will they have a funeral for little Caylee? I hope they lay her to rest soon. They can't put it off much longer! I don't care if they are doing it because they want to hold off any kind of trouble for themselves. If they do it much longer people will really get "angry" with them! The poor little girl layed out in those woods for 6 mos, she needs to be given a proper burial so she can rest in peace. Sorry, it just makes me angry they are "waiting". If we don't hear anything this week about a funeral date, I will get suspicious!!

Ahhhh, what i wouldnt do to be a fly on the wall!!!!!

IMOO.

It does appear from our viewpoint they have no close family and friends.Maybe they like keeping to themselves..who knows.
I just know anytime I or my family have been in crisis, the whole extended family rushes to help.
