I am from S Georgia as well!!!

I live in North Florida but spend A LOT of time in S. GA for work.  I know my way around all of the small and big towns.  The locals have all helped me find the "back roads" making it easier to get from town to town.  All y'all are so nice and friendly.

I love the south . it is that simple.

I think "junkie" would be better than "junkey."  "Junky" would be the correct spelling.  Sorry, it's a bad habit I have Embarassed  Love the idea!

I logged on not so long ago; how do you go about getting a t-shirt?  Thanks

We try. Backroads are the only way to travel around here. It's too congested everywhere else.

I'm sorry, I have to ask. Has someone been using my handle on the trip advisor forums? Because I've never even posted there and someone asked if I had been banned. I was all: WTF?

Arubagirl, there was someone posting on one of the Joran sites with that name saying things that did not sound like you so it could probably be that same person.  I had mentioned it here the other night without names cause i did not want to "slander" you when I did not think it was you.

I'm a spelling cop and I really like JUNKEY - as you say, it's symmetrical.  It *says* MONKEY.

BTW, the blown margins are keeping me even further behind in my reading (and thus posting) as I scroll back and forth, sideways.

I thought I was the only having the problem with the margins.  What causes that?

well lainey, the nickname 'arubagir' is a bit presumtuous. Not like I'm the only on the island.

Ita, wasn't it you who asked if v/d Sloot has a sister? Well, I can tell if they do have one, she's not living with them.

Question:

Yesterday, somebody replied to me that the FBI was there because it's a kidnapping, kidnapping federal crime, hence the FBI.

Now, what I'm wondering is this: Does the FBI usually jump in a) between 24 - 48 hours of an adult's disappearance (Ihave 72 hours in my head. Could be from watching too much tv) and b) Do they jump in although there is not a clear-cut case for a 'kidnapping'. There has been no ransom note (that we know off), not a phone call (ditto), ANYTHING linking this to a kidnapping.

HEY!!!!!  Wink GLAD AS HELL U R BACK ON!!!
Yeah, me too!  To answer your question, no not so much.  But who are you calling an adult?  Since "Amber Alert", they have jump pretty quick.  DASH IS ON!

When he says "I saw her a little later that night" he means later in the night.  "Drinking responsibly" how great is that?

Guys while things are slow.  What do you think about having a SM "reunion" next year?   Perhaps we could get Arubagirl and Native to give us a real tour?

Just an idea..

OK - I have just finished catching up on no less than 50 pages worth of posts.  You guys are too fast (and my other life has really intruded on my computer time today)!

Just some random thoughts I wanted to put out there:

1.     DASH - You couldn't have done a better job!  What a true friend Natalee has in you.  You represented your group so well and such composure for an 18 yr old (I used to faint having to give book reports).  And look how proud of you everyone on this site is - gave me goosebumps reading all the accolades they gave you.

2.     DEE FINE:  Just to sum her up in a nutshell - she was the local president for this area's chapter of MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Drivers) about 15 - 20 years ago while her adorable son was running around town partaking in all types of substances (i.e. not alcohol).

3.     SAFETY:  All I've heard for 2 weeks now is "this never happens in Aruba".  Well, it doesn't happen here either.  We only lock our doors when we go on vacation.  If my car keys aren't sitting in the ignition my car at home, then I have no idea where they are.  The exterminator, plumber and everyone else knows to come on in, whether we are home or not.  It's just like that here.  I am probably worse than most because it's the way I grew up in town and people that have moved here from different cities are most assuredly not so lax, but that's one thing to love about this community.  Crime doesn't happen here either.

4.     TSHIRTS/COFFEE CUPS:  LOOKS FANTASTIC!!! But at the risk of sounding greedy (which I will admit to), hm, hm, remember who came up w/ the original idea????

I enjoy reading more than posting, but I especially enjoy all the thoughts/concerns/ideas y'all put out there.  You are a fine group of people to care so much about Natalee and her family.
