Thanks for all the info.  I in no way wanted anyone to get involved in the actual problem. I just figured that perhaps someone would have the information I asked for. Sorry Muffy. The FBI says that they will not do anything since they do not think it is a real threat. But contacting craigs list is a good idea. I shall do it now!

Hopefully Craigslist will help you, theboyzmom, especially since the problem seemed to have stemmed from there.  I spoke with a friend that uses Craigslist to buy/sell/trade and they told me Craigslist takes that sort of thing seriously.  I have found in my experience it is NEVER a good idea to say you have a gun, will use a gun or other statements like that, whether true or not.  If you feel threatened and have a gun, keep that information to yourself.  Don't ever threaten.  But if you feel your life is in immediate danger, then you use it if you think you must (if in fact you have this item).   Maybe you were trying to let this other person that threatened you via gmail believe you have gun.  It just ratchets up an already inflammatory situation and could even be seen as a veiled threat.  JMHO

Muffy, I do not want to sound difficult  (or get the big red button!  ) here but I have always been open about the fact I have a CCW and carry on a regular basis. I did not know that my statement would offend. I also seriously doubt the guy reads here. I only wanted to make it clear I am not afraid of this guy even if he is serious. I know how monkeys worry about each other. I do take your opinion seriously though and will no longer mention it. The fact is the reason this board interests me is because I have scummy people that have tried to hurt me and have hurt members of my family. Therefore, I take my ability to protect myself and my family very very seriously.

I guess I made a bad decision to pick monkey brains on this issue or at least how I phrased the issue. Sorry again. Do not want the mods mad at me - you people and your BIG RED button scare me!!!

luv you guys. Back to halloweening with the kids.

You didn't offend, nor did you pick the wrong place to ask your questions.  After you did ask your questions though I noticed how much information about yourself you are giving out to the world in your profile.  From experience, that is a big mistake.  It's entirely up to you, but if I had some nut threatening me I certainly wouldn't be sharing alot of info about myself on the internet.
Just a personal opinion.

Here's a unique Christmas gift for that guy who has everything:

La-Z-Boy from drunk driving case to be auctioned

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- A motorized La-Z-Boy used by a man who pleaded guilty to driving it drunk is going up for auction. But police said interested bidders need to keep it off the streets. The chair, powered by a lawnmower engine, comes equipped with a stereo, cup holders and lights.

Police in Proctor, in northern Minnesota, are putting the seized chair up for auction on eBay on Thursday. The proceeds will go to the police, state and the prosecuting attorney.

But Chief Walter Wobig cautions that the chair isn't "street legal," so any buyer should stick to the living room - or at most a parade.

The former owner, Dennis LeRoy Anderson, pleaded guilty this month to operating the chair while intoxicated. His family is also auctioning on eBay an autographed photo of him riding the La-Z-Boy to help with his fees.

Thanks...I'll look to see if we have a thread...I'm familiar with this case, but not sure if it was because I read it here, the newspaper or a TV program.  Give me a minute or so.

He is a rescue dog, was supposed to be Shepherd and border collie.  Vet said no way, he has a lot of Australian Cattle dog in him.  He is my Velcro dog, follows me everywhere, will not let me out of his sight.  JSM, bless her heart, gave me some links on ACD dogs and I understand him and all his weird stuff now.
