I have a question about the Kelsey Smith case.

If I've followed this correctly, her body was found in Missouri.

Wouldn't that be where the charges are brought, trial held, etc.?

I am somehow under the impression that the location of the body usually determines the location of legal proceedings ...

I think it depends on where she died. Mark Furman said they were trying to test some of the foods in her stomach to determine her time of death and what state she would have been in at that time. I'm sure it complicates things a lot when they'll have to decide and prove which state has jurisdiction.

Not sure.  I heard someone say something about it depends upon where she was killed.

No Frat, sorry. The stuff they smoke grows in the woods,I have heard.I stay away from that

Ha! I love Transy. I'm a Georgetown girl myself...they're very similar. I partied a lot at Two Keys and Dixie Tavern (freshman year...before Larry Redmon moved on to greener pastures).

Blue,
My oldest attended Georgetown both under and grad.  And I got to for nine weeks when he had a bad car wreck, at least to live in a dorm and help him.   Rolling Eyes He was in Foreign Service School.

Oh! I hope you enjoyed living there. It's a beautiful campus. Where did you live? It's so sweet and Georgetown-esque that they accommodated you and your son like that. It's such a close-knit college family.

We didn't live there, he just went to school.  I wouldn't really want to live in D.C. area although he still does.  The hospital was in a very bad section, too.  Real estate too expensive for one thing.  But I stayed in the sophomore girl's dorm as it was the only one that could accommodate his special needs after that wreck.  That was really WILD with the only male and all those girls but he graduated on time.

Yes, they were wonderful to help with him and he was determined to graduate wtih his class and did.  Was still using two canes when he accepted his diploma.  His room mates from before the wreck helped lots too especially his best friend from Lebanon.

After seeing how the state of Missouri has handled the Jaycee Hardin case I sure hope the Kelsey Smith case is in the jurisdiction of Kansas or it may never go to trial.

Do they even know where she was killed?

I'm not being critical at all ... just curious and a bit confused.
