Go read the Natalee boards from very beginning until now.  That case is beyond interesting.  It is the most heartbreaking case I have ever read.  I only read over on that board for 2 years, never posted.  A LOT of the Monkey's in here are from that original thread. 
You will see why everyone here is really sour on the Anthony's as well, they are "spoiled" on how Beth H.T. has handled her tragedy.

I will go read.  I followed the case when it was in the news and wanted them to get Joran so badly.  I never knew boards like this existed til recently.  I thought the case was at a dead end??  I thought all searches were over??  Is there still hope??

I haven't really followed the Natalee Holloway case, but it does appear to me that Beth does have a dogged determination to find her daughter and find justice for her.  Complete opposite of what I see in Casey Anthony.

A defense lawyer can not call off a search in an ongoing criminal investigation....

I belive they would have to notify next of kin , and that would have been done by now , and we would know ....... The big dogs got it called off, JMO They had to many people looking it was starting to make them panick , and without any real evidence , they should be looking for alive also.... That why there statements started to change

I can see Casey working as an escort if she could do it.  But I seriously doubt any pimp would take her kid.  They have other ways of dealing with women who do not conform.  Besides, I think Casey would have had her own gig going, kinda like Paige Birgfield, the Colorado woman who disappeared last year.  She put her own ads online.  Casey would have done the same thing, and she would have been found out by now.  I don't think Casey had money.  That's why she stole from others.  What we know of her thievery may be the tip of the iceberg.  Many people do not report thefts, unless it is big money.  I have wondered if that is why she got fired from Universal.  I would guess it was either theft or padding her resume with a fake degree.

That's right , we don't know anything about her social life before May of this year.  I don't believe this stealing just started.  She has to have been getting money from somewhere for the last 18 months. ???

Escort my butt..she's probably enrolled in an online dating service right in her own home town.  The escort title is too good for her to be labeled as...more like..cheapthrills dot com...

If she was involved in escort service, probably not under her real name, so very hard to track down

I know this has been discussed in the past...but....what do we all feel about the body being burned?  The gas cans missing is a BIG CLUE.

Not nessessarily.  It would be considered as evidence and right now the entire Anthony family has lawyered up.  On that same note, how do we know that they have not...its not like it would make any difference to the family, the do not believe evidence anyways.
Your post is confusing me as well.  Are you saying the LE called off the search due to not having real evidence?  DNA hair samples and possitive testing of decomp is not evidence?  Please explain yourself as I am not following you.

No.  I know from experience that they will not notify until they have made a definitive identification and even then they can take time til deputies are available to go speak to the family.  Sometimes a coroner will take a week or two

I have some news that will "seem" like ... bad news. I believe Tim will be coming home tomorrow. I don't believe any search was conducted. However, please also know... even assuming this disappointing news becomes fact... IT IS NOT THE END. I've also been told the next article from Diario will be on Monday. We need to hang onto our hearts and our hopes. I firmly believe... THERE WILL BE JUSTICE FOR NATALEE ... we are not alone on this road
