In addition, how would the alternate know what the others were thinking? They were not supposed to talk about the case and the alternates were not in deliberations. Also, most of them said beforehand they thought she was guilty. What evidence changed their minds? I watched this entire trial. I heard nothing to make me have reasonable doubt.

Anyway, even if they find there was tampering..they can't try her again. But I still want to know what the heck happened.

Good question!  What indeed changed their minds?  And so seemingly quickly at that.  Hmmm..

I do hope the judge looks into the whole matter with the jury.  Sure seems to me as well as many others that something 'just ain't right' with all of it.

Just got home, but heard the news already. I feel like someone punched me in the stomach when that verdict was read. I knew right then, that jury just wanted to go home. They knew they would have to stay a bit longer if they had brought a guilty verdict. I'm ashamed of those jurors and I hope they regret their decision for the rest of their life. Caylee paid for Casey's freedom with her life.

Caylee is dead, Casey did it and I pray for God's wisdom to help me deal with this. I also hope that God's hand finds Casey very soon.

I hope someone is investigating the jurors because something just isn't right here.  Something stinks.

I hope so too snoopy.  After a short deliberation ...TWELVE randomly selected jurors and ... even a alternate juror who just spoke on JVM ... believe the prosecution did not prove their case.  What are the chances?  Even the liberal Huffington Post poll was not so one sided.

Janet

In addition, how would the alternate know what the others were thinking? They were not supposed to talk about the case and the alternates were not in deliberations. i thought that was beyond bizarre! i'm sure baez will take this as a reflection of his attorney skills.  On the bright side maybe he will get more clients and now more people in orlando will go to jail.  he isn't smart enough to realize this was a fluke.

I have been doing some looking around, and i think if there is jury misconduct, the judge can nullify the jury, and have a retrial

Well, that would be good. But the more I think about it, the more I think what one of my FB friends said might be right. He said the jury did the nullifying. He suggested they were mad at the state for extremely low pay, keeping them such a long time, etc. This cold be, because while I was on jury duty (didn't get on a case, but waited with others) many, MANY potential jurors there were going around trying to tell others to nullify a verdict in order to protest the jury process. The more I think about it, the more I consider this. because how else does the alternate (who was not supposed to talk to other jurors) know what the other jurors were thinking? They HAD to talk about it when they weren't supposed to.
only trouble now though is if by miracle there was jury misconduct then the dufense would yell they couldnt get her a fair trial due to publicity .. I posted earlier after thinking of Bozo this morning in front of camera acting like he was whatever you want to call it and smiling..plus him and Casey smiling and at times giggling in court that after jurors were picked could Bozo had tampered with the jurors that weekend that they went home to pack etc before court started. Thats why they didnt do much at all in defence not even proving Caylee drowned

Casey will be back on the streets partying and sloring again...as soon as she can.  That is her personality (disorder).  She will be back slingin those hips and those lies.  More than likely, she partakes in alcohol and party drugs and when she does...her lips will be moving.  I bet there will be a lot of speculation as to which of her words will be lies and which will be truth.

She will spill the beans...

First I hope someone out there in Florida starts a civil suit against Casey in honor of Caylee.  Maybe a children's defense agency will..I don't know but someone should.

We are have these racial and specific belief defense funds..we need a children's defense fund to take up the rights of children when justice is miscarried like this.

Prety sad when you hear that if George Anthony had have come off as credible, Casey would probably be a convicted child killer right now.
I often had the thought during the trial that if George could sit stonefaced while all kinds of wild allegations were being lodged against him, how come he suddenly got all thin-skinned and weirdly hostill when Bozo was questioning him? I think he did exactly what we suspected he would do. Deny, yet act hostile, anti-Casey, evasive and impeachable enough on the stand to make Bozo's accusations resonate with the jury. I believe all three A's played their parts to the hilt. Let them now suffer the consequences.

As much as I hate to admit it....you might very well be right. I wanted to believe GA was at least one sincere one in the family.
The guy is a gfreiving grandfather!  I'm sick to my frickin' stomach about this verdict, and I won't stoop to the level of some putting this guy through more then he has already been through.  C'mon guys...we are BETTER then that!!!  It's Casey's fault her daughter is dead! Blaming other's for our frustrations aboutn the so-called "system" won't change that fact!  I'm frustrated like the rest of you.  But, let's stay focused on the culprit and not buy in to the Defense's imaginary theory...

I respectfully disagree with you.

Although he may be a "grieving grandfather," he is also a liar and has lied for Casey for many years now.

I still have no sympathy for him nor any Anthony. They have lied over and over.

The truth does not change.

The Anthonys' "truth" keeps changing.

JMO. And a strong one at that.

I'd like to know how much it cost to buy 12 votes for 'not guilty'??

Anyone have a pic of Baez just before the verdict was read?

Wyks...I don't do pics, but my son, his friend and girlfriend were watching and I remarked about his grinning and then all hell broke loose...

And I believe you and agree, how weird for him to be grinning!  I sure hope the judge sees that replayed on the news and wonders at it, then asks Baez about it too.

Oh Lord.  I had to sign off FB.  A couple guys, not in the know, are saying justice was done and the prosecution didn't provide reasonable doubt, so justice was served.  I've been on a mission for hours.  However have many who agree of the injustice.  I just need to give up, or I'm going to throw my BP into a frenzy, as if it isn't enough already!  Again, I hate stupid people and CASEY and her celebrating DT.  Gloating and Disgusting!
Bitch better stay in hiding for life!  Too many pissed Americans!

Red... I am suspect of this jury as well...something is not right!
I am sick at heart that the very justice system that is suppose to protect her has failed Caylee miserably....
I am disgusted with the defense team for "dancing on Caylee's grave"....oh, wait, she didn't have a grave, just a garbage bag in a swamp...
[/quote]

I shake my head and I find it telling that the jury did not do a press conference. I better never see them in the media as these cowards did not have the guts to face the press.

I cannot believe that this jury believed this BS. It is beyond reasonable for all 12 to believe it. I am glad that I knew none of these fools as I would have to say had I, I would befriend them.

They did not provide JUSTICE in this case, it would appear all they wanted to do is go home.

I just do not understand , guys.... Why is it that a lot of the cases we cover never have justice ? No justice for Natalee....no justice for Caylee...no justice for a lot of the children that we discuss here that are never found..or if they are found, it ends up where no one is punished... I just dont understand any of it...and probably never will...

The alternate juror did not attend ANY deliberations and had the exact same opinion of the other 12 sitting jurors. I call bullshit -- these jurors were talking among themselves all along and decided to "go home" as early as possible. You will never convince me otherwise.

My husband is Irish from a long time Northern Irish family and his first remark when I told him the verdict is "that is the way it it done when someone gets to the jury & this is obviously what happened here."

I agree with your husband...go back and watch Baez shit eating grin moments BEFORE the verdict was read...
What if they found out that this was true?

Well..if they could prove that there was jury tampering Baez would have his license pulled..if they could prove he sent Lyons out there...and that would be that.  No mistrial..no retrial..double jeopardy raises it's ugly head.

I have been reading here on SM for a long time but I have not put the time into this that many of you have.  I wonder -is there something we can do to shut down all of this coverage?  I have not turned on the tv since I came in from work.  I have been reading posts here and I cannot bear to watch the dt celebrating. If we send emails threatening quit watching the coverage of this injustice will that help?  I just feel like I have to do something.
