Experts: 'Chloroform' searched on Anthony computer

(CNN) - Someone conducted keyword searches on "chloroform" using a desktop computer located in the home Casey Anthony shared with her parents, a computer examiner testified Wednesday in Anthony's capital murder trial.

The searches were found in the "deleted" or "unallocated space" portion of the computer's hard drive, Detective Sandra Osborne of the Orange County Sheriff's Office testified, meaning they had been deleted.

However, she told jurors, deleted material remains on a computer's hard drive and can be retrieved until it is overwritten by new data. It had not been overwritten on the Anthonys' computer, she said, and "a complete Internet history" was obtained. Osborne said she turned the data over to her sergeant, who is an expert at analyzing such material.

Anthony, 25, faces seven counts in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and misleading investigators. If convicted, she could face the death penalty.

The toddler's family last saw her on June 16, 2008, but no one alerted police until July 15, when the girl's maternal grandmother tracked down the suspect and demanded answers.

Oh this site the site meter tells what page we come it at and how long on the computer, wouldn't some of these sites she visit have site meter but don't tell about it?

Why didn't they order through the LE search over this death for the info on the sites for that day or days of chloroform and time there if this man didn't know.

Sandra Osborne of the Orange County Sheriff's Office was called by prosecutors to testify about photos and Internet searches on a computer at Casey's home. Prosecutors have said previously that an Internet search on chloroform was conducted with the computer.

Forensics scientists testified this week that high levels of chloroform were found in Casey's car. Chloroform is a chemical that is associated with human decomposition, but the compound also can be used to render a person unconscious.

Osborne also testified that searches were also done on the Anthony family computer for the name Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. Casey Anthony initially told authorities that a nanny by that name kidnapped her toddler Caylee. But the searches were not until July 16, 2008 -- 31 days after prosecutors say the 2-year-old first went missing. The same search was also done on a computer belonging to Casey Anthony's former boyfriend, Ricardo Morales, and didn't yield a hit for the name.

Under cross-examination, defense attorney Jose Baez pointed that though there were two user-created accounts on Anthony's desktop, that didn't mean that no one else could have used the computer for the chloroform searches.

Saw that.. also saw a brunette member of the Defense standing right between her and the Casey camera while the brunette lawyer was waiting to talk to Mason (I think.. since the lawyer ended up talking to Mason and looking at something on her cell after Casey left)

Found it odd that she was right in front of the camera as Casey was ranting... wonder if its on purpose since people tried to read Casey's lips the last time.

Casey Anthony's jailhouse pen pal has been booked into the Orange County Jail from Tallahassee, and is waiting to testify.

Robyn Adams has been placed in protective custody in a separate section of the jail, so she will be unable to cross paths with Casey until she is called into Courtroom 23.

JEREMY - How would you go about storing it (besides in glass) pressurized or under vacuum? and the approximate shelf life?

    ANSWER - Apart from glass you’re quite limited.  The only option would be a type of plastic that it cannot attack; I don’t know of any off hand.  Storing it pressurized offers no real advantage over storing at atmospheric pressure, but storing under vacuum is a bad idea due to the volatility.

    Shelf life is short; maybe two weeks before side reactions become significant.
