Seeking Justice for Caylee

I stopped by to let you know I survived the day with the party!

Oh, good to hear from you, Northern!

Glad it worked out!

I got up really early to make the cake. White cake with pudding from scratch filling, whipcream icing topped with fresh strawberries and toasted almonds.  It was yummy and I am really glad I got up to make it.  Kids arrived at 11:00, I BBQ'd burgers and dogs, watermelon and chips for lunch.  Then in the pool and holy water fight and lawn thanks them for all the splashing.  Then in the house to play rockband, back in the pool, more watering the lawn and water fight, in the house to have cake, in the pool yet again , in the house to make a wii movie, in the pool , then finally parents came.  One had to call his parents twice as they were two hours late picking him up.  I am exhausted but it was a fun day.  Parents were late as they were watching soccer and lost track of time.
So happy to hear the party was a success, the menu as would be expected was awesome.  Can I have some cake if there is any left?

Survived the storms last night.  Big time rain, hail, and wind and a ton of thunder and lightening.  I have some clean up to do outside but that can wait till things dry a bit.  Trying to get a quilt washed to hang out to dry then I will putz in the yard if it is not too hot out.

So happy to hear that. I'm sure there is a bit of clean up, I also have to work in the yard, and as soon as I change the bed with clean sheets, going out there before it gets to hot. 80 degrees today, so I will do a bit of complaining  LOL

There were two pieces left and daughter and second oldest son finished them off when they got home from paintballing that evening.

I love liver and onions and all my kids do as well.  It has to be done right.  First only calves liver not some old dairy cow.  Sliced thin, soaked in milk for at least 2 hours.  Then dipped into flour with salt and pepper.  Fry lots of bacon, leave enough bacon fat in pan then fry up onions in it, then add a bit more bacon fat and finally fry liver in the same fat that the onions and bacon came from.  Top with a pile of fried onions, bacon and finally smother it in gravy serve over mashed spuds OMG so good!
Oh for num, that is exactly the way my grandmother makes it - deeeeelish!  She hasn't made it in years - I may have to do this sometime soon - husband loves liver and onions.

It is supposed to get really hot here again, 25C (77 F) with more thunderstorms tonight.  It is 16C right now (61ish F) and I am too hot already in shorts and a Tee as it is so humid from last nights storm.  Can not wait to see what it feels like later.  I hope the storms hold off till the kids get home from school at least.

I hope the storms hold off also. You and I must have the same body chemistry, I can sweat if the sun isn't out and 65 degrees if there is humidity  LOL  I absolutely can't stand it. When I went to Michaels yesterday, they had a bunch of fall flowers out and pumpkins, I was so hoping summer was gone and we were into Fall  LOL

Good morning Brandi, I freaked when I saw those pictures right out of a horror movie, WTH, thanks for bringing them over. You could lose a lot of kids in the overgrown weeds and lawn, good place for hide and seek. I have never seen anything like it either.
The pictures are terribly disturbing - I will go to Kyron's after I catch up here, that case has me so confused.  I am afraid the step mother knows what happened to him - I just have that feeling.

I love the way ours turned out especially the ones that we used leaves and grasses, your fingers get pretty messy though as you hold the leaves on while you spray paint over.  If I was to do it again I would get some glue dots to hold down the items and then spray.

So the Queen comes today for a visit to Canada and they just said that she does not need a passport to travel as she is the one that issues the passports.  I guess no strip searches for her either?  She is mostly staying in the east except for one day in Winnipeg I believe.  After we paid 1billion for security for the G20 I am curious how much her trip is costing us as we get to foot the bill I am sure.

Ohhhh that sounds awesome, my husband loves birdhouses - this is a great idea.  Enjoy!

It will cost you all a bundle, no doubt about that. And I can't even get started about these summits, when are they going to learn, that these summits attract violent people, and why the he!! don't they have these summits over the computer? They have such great technology today I see no reason why this can't be done. Big companies do this, why can't they?

Pie would be pretty messy come down out the chute.   I am not sure I would want to eat a pie out of a vending machine.  When we go for vacation we go to out of the way eclectic places.  We drove one year to a salt water lake in Saskatchewan a few years back.  Hubby has a real sweet tooth so hit the vending machines in the lobby of where we were staying first night.  He got rice crispy squares and an assortment of chocolate bars, almost chipped a tooth on the rice crispy square.  After further inspection the best before date on them had passed two years prior.  Now I check all dates on stuff that comes out of vending machines.  That was the same year he ran over a bird in a bird sanctuary.
