Although first degree murder is punishable by death, women have rarely received the sentence in Florida. Of the nearly 390 people on Florida's Death Row, one is a woman. Which makes me wonder why the prosecutors were even considering the death penalty.
Hey Rose...I wonder do you think it was with the hopes that just maybe it would scare Casey into talking?
Yes, I do, but after watching the jail house visits, I'm not sure how you could break her.

Thats so true....if seeing her own Mother in such pain and listening to everybody talk about wanting Caylee back so badly didnt do anything for her I doubt anything will at this point!

She is in complete control of her family, I really believe George and Cindy are very afraid of her.

Looks like Florida doesn't like to give women the death penalty.

IMO - chances are pretty good that you will find at least one "sympathetic" jurror that is not willing to put to death a "young, attractive female" .. I think the state was smart to not seek it ...

I agree, invision.  There are plenty of people who would be reluctant to convict with that looming in the back of their minds.  Just the possibility of sentencing someone to death is more responsibility than many people want on their conscience.

Anyone remember the story "The Picture of Dorian Grey"? It was written by Oscar Wilde and about
"A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all."

Wonder what she would see in a portrait?

Yes,, I remember this also.....I hate to see what the picture of Casey would reveal, maybe she would look like the Nanny she keeps describing......only really scary....
You know you brought up something that was on my mind for awhile the description she gave.  It does have some similarities in it with her own self image.  I know not alot It's just something that I can't shake like that 31 days scenario.  But she said she on the skinny side..so is Casey and the dark hair.  Now it being long as for Casey she used to have long hair as for tattoos none for Nanny but Casey just went out and got one during the time her child was missing.  Could that have been a ploy to say okay this doesn't sound to much like me in her mind when she's thinking of "WHO" took her.  On another note at least we know Lee has been working but I agree with Padilla on one issue, the searches that were made on the computer that were of porn..I'm honestly thinking that's the connection with Lee being that he does travel and the escort searches were made all over the states.  Okay enough ranting for now.

I keep thinking about the wedding Casey attended, where she and/or her family pretended she was not pregnant.  When looking at the photos from the wedding, imo she is obviously pregnant.  So who did they think they were kidding!!!!  I think she was 7 months pregnant at the time.

Does anyone know:
Did CA & GA know she pregnant and try to hide this fact from the rest of the family? Or was Casey hiding the fact from her parents and her family?

Did Casey regularly visit a doctor while she was pregnant? Or was she past 7 months when she started to see an obgyn?

This family so is full of lies and "mistruths" – I have never seen anything like it.

Dolce,What are your thoughts on no seeking the death penalty?
I think that they should..what is the harm?  Aim high and let the jury turn it down if need be.  If they have not taken any immunity than she should be charged to the fullest.  IMO
Caylee did not have the option why should Casey?

Exactly.  Watching the videos of the phone calls is sad.Casey acts like all she is worried about is getting out of lockup. If she had not been under house arrest...we wouldn't have the opportunity to have a trial. She would be long gone.
Hey Trimm...I logged off last night and did not get a chance to read this until now.  I must agree with you on this.

I however do not agree on your team choice...but its ok I still love ya!

I agree with you NoRose.  The only thing that would have been able to break such a stuborn individual such as Casey has been taken off of the table, the DP.  Her game gets to play on and sadly we are all her pawns in the search for Caylee, a dog without a bone!
