Tibro, you being in Australia, that wouldn't happen to be one of those miniature USB "Stingray" modems, would it? I know they can be trouble if they aren't configured right. That is supposed to be the standard modem many of the providers down there use. I used one as a backup when my ISP-provided modem went out.

FYI - I've added the translation of the Hart Van NL interview with Joran to the Important Case Document thread.  I've also added the AUDIO of the interview in Dutch with my own subtitles Wink

Great show, Dana!  I like the "responsible journalism discussion".  I'll send you something -- food for thought, since you discuss this topic.

Wendy Murphy rocks!  She's so articulate, makes some great points and clarifies whatever topic she is discussing for the listener.

I'm going to give it a try. I used to be able to get it without problem on my laptop, and even on this PC my daughter may have changed some program or put up some type of filter, she is much more computer savy. Infact her job at college is the computer help desk........if she only knew how much help is needed at home Embarassed

Joran may not have gone home...but we know two things.  At the casino, he was wearing a white shirt and shorts.  One of the MB statements said they look at the C&C site (with picture of Joran previous week) and "he was wearing the same clothes".  In that pic, he had on jeans and the famous shirt. He must have changed clothes somewhere before C&C.

I was posting live when Melody made those posts.  I still think she got the day of the week right but even she and Anita sharing the keyboard couldn't get the date correct.  I am pretty sure despite how she finally finished that she meant party on Friday then seeing Joran at the movie on Saturday night.  She was not the most reliable of witnesses and is the only source placing Freddy in Joran's apartment for that period of time the night Natalee went missing.

I wonder why Anita wanted that told?  To insure Freddy's silence?  In any event, guess this is yet another point where I don't think along a certain line of thought.

I do think if Joran made preps, it was at the Sloot compound.  I think he went home and changed clothing among other things.  Not sure what other things exactly but might have to do with Freddy being there.

Klaas, wasn't there some kind of claim that that guy who owned the video, did it because he wanted to PREVENT the framing of the 2 SG's? Didn't he post that fact someplace?

I have been haunted since this thing began by the sense that there is info out there that has a LARGE bearing on the case, that hasn't seen the light of day due to the distance to Aruba and the language barrier. We have had to dig deep for what info we do have, and it seems like the "rest of the story" is out there beyond our grasp. Like how surprised we were at the GVC and Wever arrests, to us they came out of the blue, but Tito and others were like, oh yeah, they've been a part of the case all along.

It's called "local knowledge"... of an event... and we don't have it.

YES!  Me too, why were these "associates" pulled in out of nowhere and brought up on charges like "heavy battery", etc.
There is a lot of local knowledge and I think that will be their eventual 'undoing'.  Too many know too much that we all don't know yet, I think and once this case has been considered cold or closed, someone will feel like there's something to be gained by coming forward.

Anna

For awhile, I thought Melody mentioned Freddy to give Joran an alibi.  I don't think Freddy (or perhaps his family) was persued by Melody and Anita. Either that or Freddy was there and his family has REAL connections to keep him out of it.
