My last cup of a FULL pot.
I went to bed too late and feel like crap.
I hope my 3 year old Grandson is good today.....

are u better?

Good morning cookie!  We had rain last night!    Not a lot of rain, but hey, I'll take it!!  Hope you're having a good morning.

LEP I hope you're feeling better today and your Grandson is more settled today.  Three year olds can have a lot of energy, right?  My sons never went through the terrible twos I've heard about over the years.  For us it was the terrible threes!  I was a lot younger back then and it still wore me out.    I haven't been blessed with grands yet, but if they're anything like my sons were, oh boy...

Thnx for sharing this !
What a combo of coats in the litter,
brindle, white and fawn !

We used t show Boxers in the 90's. They are
wonderful, spirited, protective family dogs.
We lost a Mom and her son at age 8 and 10 and I gave up.
Too painful to let them go !

We did have 1 Grand Champ in '79 at Madison Square Garden.

LOL now I have a Basset Hound. What a physical difference !

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/lion-mothers-act-of-sheer-determination/story-e6freuy9-1226152278223

What a mother in the wild will do for her offspring.  Says a lot about our human society where some mothers cannot care for their children and even harm them, or worse.

Lion mother's act of sheer determination

    The Daily Telegraph
    September 30, 2011 12:00AM

CLINGING on for dear life to the side of a vertical cliff, the tiny lion cub cries out for help.

Captured by wildlife photographer Jean-Francois Largot in Kenya's Masai Mara game reserve, the cub's mother arrives at the cliff face with three other lionesses and a male.

The females start to clamber down together but turn back daunted by the sheer drop. But the cub's mother perseveres, reaches the youngster and carries him back to safety in her mouth.

Humans and Apes: The Autistic Connection?

September 29, 2011

(AUTISTIC APE) IOWA — Here’s another reason to recognize the similarity between humans and animals: they share some of our mental health disorders. A young male bonobo residing at the Great Ape Trust refuge is showing signs of autism.  The 1-year-old named Teco is exhibiting behavior similar to autistic human children, including repetitive motions and a lack of eye contact. Read on to learn more about little Teco. — Global Animal Discovery News, Marianne English

Teco isn’t acting like others his age.

Constantly on the move, performing repetitious behaviors and avoiding eye contact, he puzzled his mother, who didn’t know how to handle him at first.

Surely, this isn’t normal behavior for a 1-year-old bonobo, who should be learning the ins and outs of his ape social group.

Autism Speaks
Hey everyone! Let's help out our friends from Canada... Anabelle Langlois & Brad May are participating in 'Battle of the Blades,' and have chosen Autism Speaks as their charity, guaranteeing us to win at least $25,000 for just stepping on the ice!

But they are not ones to just step on the ice. They are IN IT TO WIN IT. There is a $100,000 at stake for the winning couple. So.. let’s do the math. $25K guaranteed, $100K possible, 3 million Canadians each week seeing the blue puzzle piece and hearing the word autism.

The voting window from 7 PM to 2 AM EST – a Toll-Free phone in vote can be cast as many times as one person can get through by calling 1-877-844-8157 or vote online!

I didn't forget to watch it, but I'm beginning to think there's some sort of conspiracy that's trying to keep me from watching .  I've only seen bits and pieces of the first three Monday night shows because something always seems to come up during that time, like an important phone call, someone coming by and needing something and etc.  It's always something.  Maybe next week... fingers crossed.

I hope you were able to catch the Youtubes of it, Klaas! I watched them and it was a good show! I love JR, and Carson!!  Ricky Lake was great too but I swear, I think anyone who has Derek Hough as a partner has a real advantage. Just like there are teachers who have a skill for teaching kids, he has a great talent for pulling the best from his student and he's an incredible choreographer.

I'm hoping that NG stays as well. There's something really vulnerable about her on the show, and even though she drives me nuts on her own show, I have admiration for her in this venue.

Muffy!! Lock yourself up in a room with a TV on Monday nights.............. and a 'puter!!
