JSM so you know about the life alerts and how people don't want to use them. I'll bet you haven't heard this one, he didn't want to wear it around his neck during the day because it would clash with his eagle necklace, and at night it would choke him to death

Hi NRCG ... I've been sitting here reading about your dad the last few minutes & I'm LMAO when reading this post !

But we went through the same thing with my dad, he didn't want to wear a necklace like a woman.  It can really be frustrating.

Hi everyone

Hey Buds Girl, I never went through it with a man not wanting to wear a necklace, more I went through it with Grandma's that thought it meant they were old or didn't want to bother anyone. Heck one of them didn't even tell us her legs were swollen up like watermelons because she didn't want to bother anyone.

To all of the monk-monks who are ill or having trouble of one kind or another, I hope things get better. Most of the time, things do get better, we just have to wait.  God does answer prayers.  He doesn't always say "Yes" though.

Now about the swine flu shots denied to people over 65.  Ok, I know the rationalization, but we all know its a plot to get rid of all of us old folks.  They'll never take me alive.  Wait a minute, that's the same thing, isn't it?

yes, my dad did that also, not wanting to be a bother to anyone.  Plus there were 4 of us kids & when he did get to the place he needed looking after more, we each offered to set him up in a house near one of us.  So then he said well he was afraid if he chose one over the other 3 of us, we'd get jealous.   lol, we couldn't win with him.

Glad to see you Baby. God doesn't always answer Yes. As a matter of fact that is what our priest was saying today.

Anyways. I have always thought that they should give "older" people the H1N1 vaccine, but I am "oldish" 43 and still can't get it even though I work in a doctor's office and walk back and forth through the office building and to the hospital.

To tell you the truth, now that BHO has called it an "epidemic/pandemic" or whatever it was he announced, I am not worried about it now.

Had he have said that Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North Korea were trying to kill me, then I may listen. Right now he is trying to find a reason for us to be scared and look to him as a savior.

He needs to be worrying about the war and sending troops that can win the war instead of scaring the crap out of people that could get the flu.

LOL, with my Grandmother we took her to a posh living center. She needed people to look in on her, so she couldn't live in the apartment type setting, but heck I would have loved to live the way she did.

For weeks all we heard in an whiney voice "do you know they are sending me to a home" Good Lord, she was at the Ritz compared to where her other sisters and brothers went.

Once she got there she made friends and thought she was the queen bee.

I miss her madly, watching baseball tonight brings back memories of her. She loved baseball and her Texas Rangers. I bought her a Texas Ranger bear when she was sick. She kept it on her pillow to bring them luck. It was in her coffin at her funeral and my mom wanted me to take it. I said NO, that was her Ranger bear and I want her to keep it forever.

Sorry getting sappy and sad. But who else but monkeys can I talk to?

Anyways, figure skating was good. That always makes me happy.

Sleep well Monkeys. I think it is going to storm here tonight. Going to bed now.

Get him one that's a bracelet, and make it gold, so it won't clash with his necklace! Your dad sounds like a hoot, I'd love to have him for a neighbor!

Hi JSM.  Absolutely one-hundred percent correct.  He just picks fights with the insurance industry, Chamber of Commerce and Fox news and doesn't tend to the business which he was elected to do.  I didn't vote for him and I don't personally know anyone who will admit that they did.  I don't believe a word he says about anything and if they'd give a Nobel Prize for best liar, I'd consider that he really earned it.

IMO he is a hood.  He and Daley and those guys in Chicago are in cahoots and that's where he learned to fight dirty.  Like mother's milk to him. So, if he says there's a medical emergency I figure that we are all relatively healthy and likely to remain that way.  If it were recommended that those of us over a uh....a certain age get the vaccine, I'd suspect that's how they plan to get rid of us so they can eliminate Medicare and give the money to advance technology in Muslim countries, which he is going to do anyway. Give the money, I mean, I just suspect he wants me dead.

OK, rant over.  I hope next week is a lot better than this past week in regards to children going missing.  Just so sad.  My heart  breaks for those mothers who lost children and then I see those disgusting Anthonys getting off a cruise ship.  Someone should have pushed them overboard to see if they sink or swim. But they way they are treated with kid gloves by LE they'd probably send a yacht to pick them up and warm towels to dry them off.

Guess rant wasn't over after all.

Go to bed and snuggle with Josef.  That's what I intend to do with Charlie, right now.
