I didn't skate today, so I decided to work on using the ribbon on a stick inside the house because I need to learn to use my wrist and not my arms. If anyone wants a workout for their upper body, get one of those dang ribbons. You arms will ache for hours.

Wow, Northern Rose    I can't remember my kids ever having science projects, and if they did, they weren't big projects.

My daughter is in a academic challenge class.  This is her third science fair.

Glad you made it to the store and back. Thursday, cool. Then Zoe will have warmed chicken. LOL

We actually went out too! Man o man, you should have seen the parking lot at the grocery store. It was ridiculous! Very treacherous. Glad I made it into the store with this bad back. Husband went out and brought car to me on the way out! He spent 2 hours today clearing off the cars and digging them out. Supposed to be 11° tonight. All that slushy stuff that has managed to melt during the bright sunshine today will be black ice. I worry about him going to work in the morning.

11 tonight? I am glad you made it to the store Brandi. I bet it was a mad house. I will say a prayer for your husband on his drive to work. I hope he doesn't have a very long drive.  an angelic monkey

I was afraid you were going to say you knocked some precious item down with the stick!

I used to be a majorette and my mother never let me practice in the house. LOL

I bet if I twirled today, my arm(s) would get sore too.

But a little ache is good, as you know, means you are making progress. Keep on keeping on!

Good for her Northern. I don't remember having a project in a science fair. I guess because I was in the academically challenged class.  Monkey Devil! I did win a prize for a history project when I was in grade school.

Nothing broken but Josef thought it was a whip and hightailed it to the balcony.  Monkey Devil! I wanted to be a majorette, but we didn't have twirlers in HS. I still have my baton though that my Grandmother bought for me when I was in the 7th grade. It comes in hand when I have to stand on the table to turn off the fire alarm when I burn pizza.  Monkey Devil!

I think you should try the twirling, it might be fun.

darla, I heard some whisperings about precip next weekend, but figured I am too busy dealing with this mess now, to be concerned. So, I guess I better check it out. LOL They called for this weekend's snow a week ahead and were right on it, except we got MORE than they predicted.

This is crazy weather for our area, I tell you!

You gonna get any of this snow next weekend, darla?

Our local weatherman just hinted at it. Said it was to early to tell. I wouldn't mind having a big fluffy snow. Yum some snow cream. But can do without the ice we had this weekend.Twenty miles to the north of us got about 4 inches of snow.  My son patrols the northern section of our county and he said the roads were still iced over up there. So all of the kids down here are hoping they get the day out of school tomorrow. If one school is closed they close them all in the county.

Be careful if you go out again, and falling, that darn ice is so dangerous. Maybe if he left early, but then you still have to worry about the other person in the next car

It has been snowing all day here as well.  I have been making sure that nothing exploded in the kitchen or burned the house down so have yet to go shovel.  I am now hoping that it snows enough that my neighbour will come dig me out when he does his drive.
