lol Peaches.. I've been wanting to tell you how proud I am of you. I think about you everyday.
Have a great day everyone Very Happy

Hi, sweetie!  Long time, no see.  I'm so glad to be done with chemo.  What a pain in the butt.  Nothing like being tired all the time.  I hate that.  I'm not a napper by nature.  I'm more of a "run till ya drop" kinda girl so this year and a half of taking it slow is pissing me off.  I am anxious to start feeling better.  And I'll never stop feeling lucky to have such a great doctor and staff, such supportive neighbors, friends and family, God, and of course, all of you faithful monkeys who've been right here with me.

Couldn't have done it without you.  I love you all.

Peaches
I am so in awe of you having come through all this and SO glad you are finally finished with the treatments.
I'm sure you'll begin feeling better really soon and then you'll be right back to the same old "run til ya drop" kinda gal you are used to being!!! Laughing

((((hugs)))))

Happy Friday everyone! I just wanted to post here to show off my lovely new outfit...I feel so festive now and everyone looks their absolute best...

So glad to hear Peaches is past her chemo!! I just posted a thanks for prayers on the prayer thread for my coworker who they removed 16 inches of her colon and found no cancer. They caught it early enough, but said that within the year, it would have been cancer...SOOOO THRILLED to hear her good news that I wanted to share it with all the monkeys...Thanks for the prayers, as He does listen!! Now back to work, but before I go, I want to send you all hugs and kisses!!

God is good all the time!  I am so happy for your friend.  If you are the right age (50) and haven't had a colonoscopy by now, you need to make that call.  It's no biggie.  Several of us can hold your hand through it!  (Well, sort of).  Seriously, I want us to all BE HERE.  You know who you are.

Off my soap box and back to laundry. (Stayed home due to some bone pain and nausea... totally expected at this stage and truly nothing I can't handle).

And speaking of Happy Friday, in my sig line you will see a link to a performance on YouTube of four darn funny guys.  Yes, this is a shameless plug for my friends, Fred.

Anyhow, it's fun and what's fun if not shared?

Geez, I'm getting next to nothing done here......

Peaches, staying home with bone pain and nausea, and you want to get a lot done.  I say "take a rest and celebrate" the winner that you are and you know you are still my heroine.

Can I ask an OT question here?

Does anyone here have an over-the-range microwave and if so, do you like yours and what kind is it?  Mine died last night.  I should have replaced it when we remodeled the kitchen but it was just working so well and matched everything Wink  and I just thought it would be fine forever more.  Alas, it died and  we want to get it replaced to prevent any  problems.

I have a Whirlpool EZ-Touch over-the-range microwave that works great!  I've had it about 4 years now and never had a problem with it.

I have a Whirlpool over-the-range as well, Tyler.

I bought it in 1996 when I remodeled the kitchen. The Whirlpool matched the new KitchenAid range better than the KitchenAid microwave Laughing

I'm not a huge microwave user -- I only it use to reheat leftovers and make tea. But I've not had any probems in the 11 years (and having said that,  I'm sure it will break tonight  Laughing )

Anna and *******,

I, too, remember reading the claim that Deepak escorted Natalee out
of C and C's and that she seemed a bit unsteady.

Well if that is true, then there is NO doubt in my mind that Natalee was drugged or tricked.

Tyler,  Although I don't have an over th range microwave, we were considering one not too long ago.  I have only heard good things, but we opted not to get one because we have little ones who will be using it, and I was afraid of them spilling something hot on themselves.... Something to consider if you will have young'ens using it...

Well, it sounds like a Whirlpool works fine.  We are debating between a Bosch, a Whirlpool and a GE, so if there is more satisfaction with Whirlpool (and I can get it in stainless steel), then that is what we will get.

ART COLLEY, our baby is fine.  She got her big girl surgery done Monday and only slowed down for about 24-48 hours.  We are trying to keep her settled down until we know she is well healed, but it is tough.  She likes to rearrange the garden, except she just takes the plants out of the ground and does not put them back in.  Argh, she turned over two huge potted roses yesterday and broke about 40 irises.  I am hoping this surgery will settle her down.

She loves being outside playing but she is very disciplined to wanting inside when the sun goes down.   Since we are outside so much in the garden, that seems to be the most fun place.  She has a bazillion toys but she can tear them up faster than we can buy them.  She has learned to leave the cat's food alone.  I have no idea why but she likes to pee on my needlepoint rug.  We barred her from going into the room.  The needlepoint is the one with monkeys and roses (two of my favorite things), and it cost as much to clean it as a microwave costs.

Hoping she will settle down soon.

Klaas, have a nice day, and all monkeys.  Hope to have time to visit more once the heavy garden shows, rose tours, etc., are behind us.

Looks like the Inter American Press Association has sanctioned Oduber for calling for the boycott of Diario.

I posted the Diario story and the online pap translation here:

http://www.scaredmonkeys.net/viewtopic.php?t=1045

I hope some of the monkeys wrote (I did), and I hope that's what helped.

Good Afternoon, Monkeys,

Yes, MsMarple, we wrote to them expressing our outrage and so I do think that may have helped bring this to major attention.  They know we are watching this attempt to prohibit freedom of the press and most especially for political reasons.

This is more like a move by Chavez than an Aruban.  But then Oduber did say that they always had their other friend, Chavez, if the U.S. chose to boycott.  Also the Department of State has mentioned concern about various officials in Aruba meeting so often with Chavez.  Well, he is only 16 miles away so I suppose some of that is normal.  I would also bet Chavez has promised to replace tourists lost by U.S. boycott and also that free oil he offers even to poor in this country while his own citizens do without.  There was an article recently posted stating that gasoline in Aruba is about $4.50 a gallon and I think this is a ploy to excuse their growing relationship with the communist dictator Chavez.

Just doing a quick drive by as I have company.

Will read tonight when things calm down around here.

OMG, sounds like you have your hands ful! Laughing

She'll outgrow it all in time...I always found my wildest puppies turned out to be the most laid back adults! Never has failed.

I had read about a Woman a few years back that had a Border collie that loved digging holes EVERYWHERE..and this woman was a gardener. SO...she taught the dog to dig holes where she wanted them to transplant shrubs, etc in her garden! Would be interesting if you could do that with your little gal!
The surgery should settle her down also.
She sounds like a  real sweetie though, and I can tell you love her to pieces!

Speaking of roses..I have YET to get the courage to go and visit my rose garden since the storm. A lot of them got involuntarily pruned. Of course, its been so cold here til today, that none have leaves or anything yet..just a garden of brown sticks (and now broken brown sticks) Grrrr
Naturally, the wild roses are unharmed and just waiting to creep another 3 or 4 feet onto the lawn! Laughing
My lilacs escaped a huge branch coming down..it landed right between them and for that I am grateful!

*******,

I got into a bit of an argument with Dan about that in emails.  I didn't believe him at first.  I do think he was really in touch with a MB kid who said he saw every bit of that now, however.  And he claimed to be at the time.  Very detailed information and I think that is the thing about which he posted he had a $900 phone bill.

He discounted my sources so I discounted him right back.  But looking back now, I wonder if this is true and someone did see Deepak escorting Natalee out bu the arm as Dan has always claimed.  Very interesting and why would Deepak be doing that?  Obviously Natalee was drugged at that point and maybe they feared somebody noticing and they would get in trouble.

Or was Deepak REALLY interested in Joran's conquest of the night for some reason of his own.

It is interesting and I would like to know if verified elsewhere like the FBI or someone in a position of authority.

.

Lovely Afternoon to all Monkeys, doing a quick read through, found Anna's post about Deepak and a the possibility he escorted Natalee out of C+C's. I do recall reading that. But I have one for you. Does anyone recall early rumors that Mrs. Kalpoe was actually a Mamasan? I think the rumor stated she had been a mamsan back in suriname.......but it has had me wondering about things more tha once through the course of this case......

Well, now, Children are a 'nother whole ballgame! Laughing

My theory is on normal children that they all seem to turn out fine..its the parents that lose their minds while raising them!  Laughing

COSBY:  ... I‘m sure you‘ve talked to Natalee‘s friends.  I‘m sure that they‘ve talked with you immediately after, you know, her disappearance.  What did they say her state of mind was?  Did they have any idea where she was headed and where she was going with these guys?

HOLLOWAY:  Well, I think there was some early confusion on what some of the Mountain Brook kids reported and what they said.  I did speak with one individual.  And he said that they all came out of the establishment, and they were all talking, and everybody appeared to be OK.  And then suddenly they saw Natalee look around as if she was looking for someone and walked back into the establishment and was back in there approximately 15 minutes.  And then, when she came out, Deepak had her by the arm, leading her out of the bar.

COSBY:  And that was the last thing that they saw?

HOLLOWAY:  Well, that was one of the individuals‘ witness statement was, was that Deepak walked her out.  Some of the others indicated that she walked out with Joran.  So I think that‘s a matter of clearing that issue up.

Hi Peaches ... how is it going.  I hope you are having a good day.

I am off to take my sister-in-law out for lunch ... today is the first day since last Friday's chemo that she can look at food and ... has a craving for sushi rolls and miso soup ... so a wonderful little Japanese restaurant in our community is where it is at.

You both are such an inspiration to me.

Hugs and God Bless.
