Congrats JSM and CC...wishing you many happy years    

Question for my dog loving monkeys --- does/has anyone ever put Olive Oil on there dogs food?  Leroy just wont quit itching...and its not fleas for sure and I bath him regularly but not so much to irriate his skin.

I'm almost positive its dry skin since its only like this in the winter.  I cant bathe him at home so a mosturizing shampoo isn't going to work.  I've heard that Olive Oil helps with this.  Last winter I put Fish Oil in his food but the gas it gave him could (and did often) clear a room

oh my goodness!!! I logged in today, back on pg. 80 and who do I see??? Casually Cool! had to skip ahead to say that I am more than pleased and that this has made my day!! whoo hooo!!!

I am sooooo far behind here...will tell you all that we are mostly all moved into the new house... been working our butts off! the sold house is pretty much empty and we are having painters go in next week and the cleaning company cleaning it up for the new owners..I hope that they love that house as much as we have loved it for the past 11 yrs! but I am really loving my new smaller home..much cozier

Now I need to catch up with everyone's lives since pg. 80!
what is happening with Casey A. and some of the other cases? have been watching NG when I get the chance..nothing on Casey that I have heard..

Short update...we went from the surgeon in Hermiston  yesterday about one pm(feels like light years!) saying,"This is critical,we are in danger of losing his leg if not his life". To This morning about 9 am the surgeon here in Portland ..."Looks like you dodged a bullet!"   

He was in ICU only about 15 hours! The change is amazing! Still very infected ... but less pain, less redness,less swelling. Doc's say might be here through the weekend...wow! More to follow later,I am headed down to get something to eat...K may not get his laptop back...ever! LOL!       Thanks soooooooooo much for all the prayer and concern!   

  Glad he is doing much better!!! Prayers are answered!!!!!

I've used this icon  from time to time, and it never occurred to me someone would think he was fighting.    I always looked at him as a friendly kind of cowboy (notice he's smiling) , tipping his hat and driving his truck.    

Same here Muffy I didn't know it was a fighting cowboy 

 

I think I picked a fight with about everyone in the cage, then, because I use it all the time as a thank you or great job!

I think it’s long over due that I get a few things off my chest, so please bare with me.  First of all, my sincere thank you to Klaas for allowing me back on SM, as I have been somewhat of a controversial monkey from the start.  I came to this sight for many of the same reasons you all did.  I was attracted to the story of a missing child by the name of Caylee.  What makes this all the more important to me is I work for city government and in that capacity I am also a mandated reporter.

I came to know many of you and I also know that many of you did not care for me.  Alright, who am I fooling – most of you did not care for me.  I also came to know how compassionate many of you were, in particular one monkey by the name of JSM.  When I was fired from this sight I thought I would never, ever hear from JSM again and learned to accept that and move on.  However, little did I know that out of the blue one day, I received an email from another SM, Fanny, who forwarded me JSM’s email.  To make a long story short, to that I am ever grateful to you Fanny for that precious gift.

When I met JSM in person for the first time I was a really scared monkey.  I took my dog Ruby to the airport with me to pick her up, kinda to break the ice.  Ruby snapped at her, I kept saying, “there’s Soldier Field, Soldier Field again”, as we drove up Lake Shore Drive during rush hour.  Needless to say I was nervous and excited at the same time.

Sure, JSM and I had many long conversations lasting into the early morning hours.  We still do.  As with any long distance relationship, troubles arise now and then but you try to work through these events.  Last night was one.  As you all know, JSM is very religious (Ave Maria) and I make it a point to attend church with her when she is either in Chicago or I’m in Texas.  To cut to the chase, I will marry you again JSM so that our wedding can be recognized by your church.  I have no doubts about that.  You are my rock.

In the event as to not get too sappy, this is the first song I sent JSM.  It was also played at our reception at the yacht club in Florida (Bearly – you were missed!!!).  And you know what made me so happy?  Last night I received an email from my Hooligan, JSM, stating that she was going to skate to that song at her next competition in February, and I will be there.  That’s the same song that I proposed to her out on the ice during her last performance in August.

OMG a miracle!  I was really worried about that infection.  I'm so glad it is responding to treatment! 

There has been so much bad news this week, we all needed this miracle!

Trimm I've been thinking about your dad, my prayers are with him  

Just heard back from my Dad.He was rerouted back out to the Eye Foundation this afternoon,and he has multiple complications from surgery and health issues.He will return back out there tomorrow morning.As of now indications are not looking good and he could very possibly lose his sight.That's all I know for now.
I will update you sometime tomorrow.I got to get outside for a quick little walk.

Talked to my Mom around 5:00 this morning and Dad hasn't rested all night.I am sure he is very uncomfortable and nervous.He is on his way back out to the Eye Foundation for an early visit with the Dr.
Dad has manged very well with his one good eye,but now I just don't know how he will deal with this if the news is bad.
Hopefully I will be able to sound calm when I talk to him in a little while.  Thanks to all monkeys for prayers.   

Many prayers that your dad feels God's arms around him and that he can be less anxious.  May our Father hold your family closely.  Amen.
