On the previous thread A's Fever wrote
Just wanted to comment on this. ABC news website has a section for readers to leave comments after news stories. I looked at the comments after reading about Kelsey's murder and after reading about Jessie and I am just sick and disgusted beyond words. Most of the people leave heartfelt wishes for the families, but there are those in both cases who blame the victim. I've seen that type of comment about Jessie, and comments about Kelsey's clothing or that she was probably "screwing the wrong guy". One reader commenting on Kelsey's shorts said something like "the Lord sometimes takes them before they can sin" !! I'm not reading any more of this stuff, I'll tell you. People are just mean - spirited!

There will always be sick - pathetic folks who take pleasure in these kinds of crimes.  You can find most of them posting regularly at FOB.  Miserable people love misery, and they have a website to post their collective hatred.

I'm going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay  off topic here but I know theres a lot folks in here that have a wealth of knowledge with animals and pets and such.

I need a good resource to obtain as much information as I can about salt water fish, tanks, filters, pumps, stands, rocks, correls, whatever, etc

The whole kit and kaboodle.

Any one know much about this stuff?

Blah,
Can you see this aquarium in the background the Scottie is looking at?  Belongs to a friend of mine.  I think he said he was growing coral?  When he gets home I will ask him for information for you.

Sure, first two titles are best. Can't remember which books I got off EBAY, but sometimes they have good deals.

Volume One THE REEF AQUARIUM
A Comprehensive Guide to the Identification and Care of Tropical Marivne Invertebrates   BY J. CHARLES  DELBEEK and JULIAN SPRUNG

AQUARIUM CORALS Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History  BY ERIC H.BORNEMAN

The Conscientious MARINE AQUARIST A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyists BY  ROBERT M. FENNER

Natural REEF AQUARIUMS Simplified Approaches to Creating Living Saltwater Microcosms  BY JOHN H. TULLOCK

Blah I will also say that I learned alot of information from different boards. The subject is very complicated, and you can sink alot of money into things if you don't learn about it first, especially saltwater aquariums. ?So you are doing the right thing in seeking information .

You are very welcome. I just checked and the Delbeek book is on Ebay with a going price of 26.00 which is not bad. So much has been learned in recent years about keeping saltwater aquariums, and corals, so be careful to by a book recently published for best info.

Today it seems Aruba is having brush fire problem? Can't read the article. Wonder if any of the celebratory St. Johns Day fires of Sunday the 24th got outta hand? They have been having very hot weather even by Aruba standards lately.........

Well from Greta's blog.  She recognized and spoke highly of TES.
Somebody at fox get's it (I know how you all feel about her, but at least she did what Shep and BOR didn't)   She also mentions her trip to Aruba and the Monkey.

She is speaking of a day in Canton, OH waiting to interview Cutt's friend

Here is just a clip of it:

We waited in a grassy and un-kept area and found a broken down picnic table to set up as our "office." See the pics. While in our outdoor office, a yellow cat found us. See the pics. She was extremely friendly. Since we had some time on our hands, we dispatched one of our group to go to a store, buy a cat dish and some cat food. In the pics you can see that we left a very grateful cat. We debated whether to take her to an animal shelter, but the cat was so friendly that we decided she lived in the area and was merely curious about us. The cat was not wild.

Note: it just occurred to me that we seem to find lots of animals when we are on the road: A monkey in Aruba that we fed daily; a puppy that we rescued from a roof while we were in New Orleans covering Katrina.

After spending a few hours waiting to get an interview with the barber, we gave up. The barber said he would only talk to us for money — which seemed a bit odd since he maintained that he was a friend of Bobby's and that Bobby did nothing wrong. Of course we offered no money. We finally left the barber shop late morning (to return later) and went to lunch with the crew. See the pics. After lunch we moved to our second "office" — the parking lot of the Bob Evans restaurant (see pic). Gathering in the parking lot, we strategized about what we should do to continue to cover the missing Jessie Davis story. We decided to interview one of Officer Cutts' prior girlfriend's lawyers (see pic) and then go back to the barber shop late in the day to see if our luck changed with the barber. The barber was important since he was with Cutts Wednesday night. We were immensely curious what Officer Cutts was like on Wednesday night at the bar, when he left and with whom. I wanted to know if he talked about Jesse while he sat at the bar... and, if so, what did he say? Yes, we went back... and yes, no interview from the barber.

About 6 p.m. we returned to the fire department which was ground zero for the searchers. You can see the pics of the firehouse with the searchers and the ton of donated food and water. The fire department is where we decided to do our 10 p.m. show because it was the location of our satellite truck (which we need for transmission for the show.) I can't say enough good things about the searchers: the volunteer fire department and Texas Equusearch. Texas Equusearch has the search down to a science. They are extremely well organized, which you must be when the area to search is vast and you have about 2000 volunteers.

O/T

I don't know who this is but this sounds like yet another horror story!  Pro Wrestler Chris Benoit and wife and child found dead in their home.  Don't think cause given as yet.  Is on AJC news.

Several years ago I did some research on salt water aquariums, bought a tank, was looking at filtration systems, built a cabinet for the tank and then something in me said WTH!  Sold the tank at a loss and got as far away from that idea as I could!!!!!! lol

the old lady has high blood pressure/alot of stress and is thinks looking at the fishes will help.

Hell if it keeps her busy and helps with the stress, i'll put one in every room in the house   Laughing
