Why did they allow Kelly and Castillo to go on TV and tell their fictional story right now?

1.  Someone is affraid the ocean search will be successful in finding Natalee's body?
2.  Joran's wine throwing stunt was too much in the news?
3.  Beth was going to be on Oprah with over 20 million viewers?
4.  All of the above
5.  ??

Klaas ... to some extend it could be "All of the above".  However ... the following words of the "loonies" on their site tend to make me believe that the agenda was to distract from Beth's appearance on the Oprah Show and ... I believe the strategy was successful to a certain extent when you consider yesterday evening's dialoging in the Monkey Cage.  Although ... Beth's appearance was definitely acknowledged .... the audio recording of so-called press conference was where it was at.  I also got taken and ... I am so angry with myself.

Today, Beth Holloway the mother of Natalee Holloway will appear in a special show on one of the most popular television shows in the United States, the Oprah Winfrey show. However, today in a shocking fashion local radiostations presented a press conference that revealed new and shocking information in the dissapearance of the Alabama teenager, Natalee Holloway. According to the American couple Natalee Holloway has been abused by stepfather Jugg Twitty, this according to a close friend of Beth Holloway.
Below we present a seven part audio recording of the press conference held this morning in which they present surprising new information.

The Oprah Winfrey is today at 5pm on channel 14 on Cable TV.

Nah, they would be playing the stockmarket instead of trying to rip off old people under Hospice and deceased families of children who never return from their pet island, Aruba.  What's their other interest there?  This is something that needs to be delved into.

This was all planned before the Wine throwing because Paulus and Anita
mentioned it during the show...indirectly
I don't think they realize the impact that the Oprah Show could have.
So that leaves #1...and I hope that is the correct answer.
The Sloots going out to see the ship and search before they left for
NL is telling to me.
