This Might Kill Ya!  Cool

The following recipe was taken from The Presley Family Cookbook, written by Vester Presley, Elvis' uncle and a guard at Graceland along with Nancy Rooks, a Graceland maid.

Degree of difficulty: Low

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes

You need:

2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 small ripe banana - mashed
2 tablespoons butter

Method:

Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or do what Elvis did and melt bacon fat), over low heat in a small frying pan.

Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk.

Serving Suggestion: Elvis may have eaten 12 of these in one sitting...you may find one to be sufficient for a quick meal.

I tried, but it turned to mush.  I didn't use bacon fat though and I didn't try to eat 12 at one sitting!   Shocked

The version I saw had crisp bacon, honey poured on top and finished off with some confectioners sugar.  That must have been the gourmet version. lol

Easy,

Also you have to have the frying pan fairly hot.  Needs to be well seasoned iron skillet.  Then brown it fairly quickly.  None is correct, it seemed to be on toast to begin with.

I couldn't eat twelve of them either but maybe two or three if I were really hungry.  They are just super good.

But then look what they did to Elvis?  Sort of a deterrent right there with his massive weight gain.

DELCAMBRE, La. —  Overly saggy britches are obscene, the Delcambre Town Council says. So does Mayor Carol Broussard, who said he will sign an anti-sag ordinance passed unanimously this week.

The new indecent exposure ordinance in this Cajun-country town of about 2,000 carries penalties of up to six months in jail and a $500 fine for being caught in pants that show undergarments or, in the mayor's phrase, "private parts."

Does anyone know if Joran is out of school for the summer yet?  Ya think he will be in Aruba for the summer when he gets out?

Any firm dates on when TES returns to Aruba yet?

Grande,

You were posting in another thread the other night about times and racquet club. I posted in that last thread some information about the racquet club as well as some posts relating to other property the vds might or might no have.

Just throwing it out there for ya.

So here is more I found for ya.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right, and while you`re doing that, let`s throw up that map one more time while you`re talking, because you said the racquet club, all right? And you see that it`s right near where the pond is that they dredged out. There`s the racquet club.

And you`re saying that`s when the witness saw the three young men, or at least two of the three, in Deepak Kalpoe`s car at about 2:30 a.m. And then the 3:00 a.m. instant message. How long does it take to get from the racquet club back to Deepak Kalpoe`s house?

MANSUR: Not more than 30 minutes, definitely not.
