Page 229/230:  As I read on in the journal, I discover that one of the most moving entries is her desription of a hero.  Natalee writes:

"A Hero is someone who puts others before himself.  He or she is very selfless and cares about the well-being of others.  Heroes also accept life's challenges and remain strong through tough times.  They also have a strong sense of determination and stick to goals and morals.  I believe that heroes uphold morals and try to encourage others to live life morally correct.  Heroes are not only just people called in times of physical danger, but individuals that can both emotionally and physically help people get through rough times.  A hero should always show respect for other people as well as respect for himself."

Instantly I realize that Natalee is poignantly describing the people who have reached out to help her family get through this "tough time."  It's almost as if she is thanking everyone herself by recognizing the importance of selfless people.  And I am amazed at her profound words here.  I sit and read the entire journal ...

Good to see ya too.  I have been reading in HaLeigh (big headache with this one) and Caylee's (I have to force myself on this one because of Cindy and George....  )  threads.  I was reading today in our local paper about an eastern Kentucky guy who has been missing for 2 years (I think) with no resolution.  I mean't to check and see if we have anything on him.  It is a sad case for the parents.

Russell County woman is still seeking out answers, four years after her son mysteriously disappeared.

Christopher Gregory went to see some friends one night and was never heard from again.

In part two of Daniel Kemp's special report, "Unanswered Questions," we look into one of the most recent unsolved missing person cases in Russell County.

It's one police there say they hope they're close to solving.

"I never thought of anything like that happening in a small place. I was always afraid to live in a city because of stuff like that," said Rhonda Gregory, who lives in Russell County.

For a little more than four years, Rhonda Gregory has lived with countless rumors and little reason as to why her son suddenly vanished.

"It's so hard to go to bed at night thinking about it," she said. "And I can't help it, but I cry every night."

23-year-old Christopher Gregory was last seen in January of 2006 when he left the company of some friends at an apartment, just outside the city limits of Russell Springs.

"Everybody seemed like they liked him," she said. "They always got him to do stuff for them."

Since then, missing person fliers have gone without leads and many of Gregory's friends have been no help.

"After he got gone, none of those people hang out anymore," Gregory said. "They just all scattered."

"And within that group we feel that they have some knowledge, or at least we hope that they can help us more than they have," said Chief Joseph M. Irvin, of the Russell Springs Police Dept.

Chief Joseph Irvin says his department is still actively searching for Gregory.

He's also still waiting for someone to come forward with information on his disappearance.

"We've spoken to persons who we're most confident have what we need to go forward, but they don't wish to cooperate," he said.

Irvin says he has four persons of interest who know exactly what happened that January night, and half a dozen others who know something.

But yet the case remains unsolved.

"We've had some that, in interviews with police, have agreed to take a polygraph test in regards to what they were telling us concerning their knowledge," the chief said. "However, they have consulted attorneys and they've all advised us that they would not take the polygraph test."

Irvin says without their attorneys help, his hands are tied.

That's why he say he's turning to the public in hopes of solving this case.

"It is frustrating with the way the system is, but it's our system and I respect it," Irvin said. "It's just frustrating. I think everyone deserves to know what happened and to get some closure on it."

And closure is all the Gregory family wants.

"This is a small town, somebody knows something," said Kendra, Christopher Gregory's sister. "It's been four years and there's no since hiding it anymore."

Chief Irvin says early on in the investigation, human blood was even obtained from the shoes of two suspects.

Irvin says lab tests needed DNA samples from both Gregory's mother and father to possibly show it was the blood of Christopher, but Irvin says his father refuses to cooperate and has been on the run for years.

Last we heard Joran was still in Aruba.  There are some "hints" that Melody was getting "chummy" with Joran again.  Now Melody is making facebook friends with Jan Brennan (Medleyrelay) and other Joran friends.  Just odd because of some of the things that Melody has said about Joran in the past.  Seems as though Joran is quite the sweet talker.

Beth and Melody's words when put into context .... imply that Joran was not picked up by Deepak and Satish at his home.

I suspect that there may have been a witness who placed Paulus in the McDonald area at 11:00 PM ... a time he should have been home.  Think about it ... he claimed in his official statement that he left the Casino half-way through the Poker Tournament.  However ... security cameras appear to placed him much later at the Black Jack table conversing with Natalee.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY'S MOTHER: Well, not only how the night unfolded at Carlos and Charlie`s, but even prior to that. This 11:00 PM pick-up on May the 29th I was able to speak with a witness also that said that Joran Van Der Sloot they were offering to give him a ride home at 11:00 PM on the 29th, but he didn`t need one because he had already called Deepak and Satish Kalpoe to pick him up. So that is something that -- you know, we know that Paul Van Der Sloot did not pick him up at 11:00 PM on the 29th. We know now that that correct pick-up time was 4:00 AM on the 30th, and Paul Van Der Sloot stated that he picked them up.

Police were called to Buster's Garage because a man pulled a knife on someone that was with two ladies...five patrol cars responded along with Dolphi Richardson.  The only arrest was a woman who didn't follow instructions...
