A FBI guy on MSNBC said earlier that women who kill children that are not family members or outside of a domestic violence type of situation, usually are involved in some sort of pedophile/child porn situation where a man or men are also involved in some way.

I forgot to add, it was quote from LE earlier that Melissa's child was NOT home at the time that Sandra was taken. So I gather from that her sister was not there either, Stacy.

I think that's just a Casey lie she told the press.

Pastor's Granddaughter Arrested In Cantu's Death
Huckaby Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder, Kidnapping

TRACY, Calif. -- The granddaughter of a Tracy pastor was arrested late Friday in the slaying of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu.

Melissa Huckaby was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and murder.

Police spokesman Sgt. Tony Sheneman couldn't comment on why or how Cantu was killed. No other details were released at a 3 a.m. news conference.

Cantu's body was found Monday in a suitcase pulled from an irrigation pond north of Tracy. The girl disappeared from Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park on March 27, setting off an intense hunt that drew national media attention.

Huckaby is the granddaughter of Lane Lawless, the pastor of Clover Road Baptist Church. The church is just down the road from Orchard Estates, where Cantu, Lawless and Huckaby all lived.

Huckaby claimed the suitcase in which Cantu was found matched one that was stolen from her. She also said she found a note the day after Cantu's disappearance. According to Huckaby, the note said, "Cantu, Suitcase, Water. The word 'suitcase' was misspelled, and there were two street names including the word 'Whitehall.'"

"I wish they could have found her a lot sooner, if they would have followed up on this a lot sooner," Huckaby said earlier Friday.

The FBI on Friday continued its search of Clover Road Baptist Church. The focus of Friday's search was on a small shed on the church grounds. Investigators also searched the church earlier in the week.

On Monday morning, farm workers found a black, sealed suitcase while they were draining a pond near Bacchetti Road, about two miles from Orchard Estates. The area is full of agricultural fields, plowed land waiting to be planted and some irrigation ditches. It's adjacent to a dairy farm.

The luggage was taken into the county morgue, where the 8-year-old's body was identified.

A public memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Merrill F. West High School gym, which seats about 2,500 people.

Anyone wishing to reach Cantu's family may route condolences to the Tracy Police Department, which has assigned a liaison to work with relatives. Those wishing to make donations of money in the girl's memory are being asked to contact the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation.

* Teaches children that offenders can be children or adults of any age, size, color, sex and either "strangers" or people they know.
* Emphasizes the fact that inappropriate adult behavior is never the fault of the child.
* Teaches the children tricks abductors and pedophiles may try to use to lure them or abduct them.
* Incorporates demonstrations and rehearsal of desired behavior by each child.
* Also talks and teaches them about physical abuse, school violence and bullying.

JUSTICE FOR SANDRA !!

I'm shocked over the arrest of Melissa Huckaby!  I thought the murderer would be a convicted sex offender...a man, not a woman.  But then again, considering who Melissa's parents are, I'm not a bit surprised.  Will her parents turn out to be like George and Cindy Anthony, covering up for their daughter until the bloody end?

This is yet another bizarre, "wtf" murder mystery.  It will be interesting to see the outcome of this case.  Let's hope it does not end up becoming another "media circus"!

Wow, that poor family, I do hope the family finds out why this was done, maybe they will get some peace, or maybe they will get angrier, I just don't think any words would matter. The article that Janet posted, the one sentence in it that was interesting  This is a terrible terbible tragedy," Thiessen added.
