For the record, if you watch when he is asked how soon after the video shows her skipping that she was actually murdered.....you can see him hesitate.

Then he goes on to say that it was VERY soon.  I don't believe this.

A child is missing and found murdered in a suitcase and now the case went from wide-reaching implications to zipped, clipped and nothing to see. 


One other child has been confirmed drugged by the main and only suspect in the murder of the missing child - Sandra Cantu and there is no connection here at all?

The family of the main suspect themselves seem to know more than they were saying and now it's back to business as usual?

I just don't get it.

Now you all are understanding my concern with our police department. They sweep things under the rug or shrug things off. Everything is tied up in a pretty little bow and offered to the public. That or they just really do not have experience with this  type of thing.  I wish the people in my community would understand this child porn thing remains a very serious problem in our town and we need to know who these people are and have them arrested.

You know what my first alert was there was a problem with this? In the Kyle case a part of the evidence was a glass sex toy on the floor in the living room. He was kepted drugged  while there. he was found in loose fitting boxer shorts and had feses on his body. Another disturbing detail, it was quoted the mom in the house would refere to her daughter as their "little prostitute". I believe this case alerted them to the child porn and from there they are discovering others. Just my opinion though.

I am going out on a limb.  It could be that I have been involved in the Natalee Holloway case way too long.

 

I am suspicious ... when I consider that there was no legal action by Tracy law enforcement against Melissa in regards to the drugging incident and ... when I consider there was no legal action by Tracy law enforcement against a Karate instructor in regards to inappropriately kissing a six year old Sandra Cantu on the lips.

Now Melissa Huckaby is being detained as the only suspect and ... unlike the Casey Anthony case ... the details are not being released to the public.

As an appeasement those who are demanding justice for Sandra Cantu ... could it be that there is a plan within law enforcement that implication will stop and end with Melissa Huckaby and ... the other persons of interest connected to Melissa and the church will become non-issues?

Could it be that a plea deal by law enforcement with Melissa Huckaby for her confession implies the consequences of her actions will encompasses an insanity defence?

In otherword ... could a child pornography ring in Tracy be very far reaching in regards to who is involved?

I believe that Melissa Huckaby unintentionally caused Sandra Cantu's demise through drugging but ... the drugging is not the whole picture.  I suspect that the whole picture involves those persons of interest who were connected to Melissa and the church.

Miss Janet I think you may be on to something there.  IIRC Did someone in with this party not make a slip up and say how tragic it was that she had to go through and had been "sexually assulted and murdered" in an interview, before any results had come out? (Those results still have not come out)  I believe it was Melissa's grandmother IIRCC.

Tracygirl....Is this Police Chief fairly new or has she been the chief for a while?

The reason I am wondering is because if these other offenses (Sandra getting kissed by that pervert who still has contact w/children and MH supposedly drugging another 7 yr old) were 'taken so lightly'..then impeachment proceedings might be in order there.  However, if she is fairly new....maybe you have some 'hope' of getting that area cleaned up.

Sheneman appeared to be giving both Melissa and Clover Road Baptist Church credibility when he stated at least three times that Melissa was a Sunday School teacher.

Klaas ... we will have to agree to disagree ... I DO NOT like Sheneman.  I contend his press conferences only reveal a watered-down version of what has already been released to the media and ... nothing new.

Think about it.

A Sunday School teacher and a Karate instructor both in a positions of authority over children and ... reported inappropriate behavior is sweeped under the rug by law enforcement.  It does not make sense.

Hi all - my 1st post here!

So much information and many many good thoughts, ideas, theories from everyone . . . it is so helpful to have so many different minds & perspectives hashing all of this through - like a round table discussion of sorts.

Mr. Sheneman seems highly professional to me; I find myself feeling very respectful of him as he carefully and purposefully speaks. It would seem to me that he cannot tell the media everything yet, as there is still more police work to do.

I like the Sgt.
I think he has a hard job and doing the best he can do under the circumstances.
He's torn between protecting the investigation so Sandra Cantu and her family can get justice once this goes to trial and giving the community answers that they desperately want and deserve.

He's a member of that community, his children goes to Sandra's and her sister's school. He feels their pain and he is trying to do his best to answer what questions he can.
