Then we have the blankets.. We dont know if they were washed or not . I have read they were not because dirty clothes were found in the dryer.. No detergent. There was supposed to be a blanket of Misty in the van when was she in the van as on her 3 day, drug, sexapade, no sleep bender she was escorted around with WBG and her drug friends- (Brooks and Prevatt).

So were any blankets found that had pee on them? Maybe there were no blankets with pee on them because according to the Sheffield Haleigh did not wet the bed when they had her over to their home.. Is there a blanket missing and was there a blanket put back on the window.. 

The blanket story has never made sense to me, but then nothing Misty has said makes any sense to me. Just doesn't add up. grrrrr

YW~I have always thought she articulated my feelings to a T, and the blanket story I just didn't buy, she went on and on about random small details which IMO where completely irrelevant (way too much detail for sure), and when she talks about covering her up with the sheet IIRC, I get a visceral reaction when I watch her body language, almost as if she's remembering covering her up after something bad happened and can't get it out of her mind.

But the new year is starting off the same as 2009 in at least one regard - Putnam County authorities continue to investigate the February disappearance of Haleigh Cummings. They also have reported more incidents involving her father and his former wife, who was baby-sitting the 5-year-old when she disappeared.

"I really don't think we are going to change the way we have been conducting the investigation. We're still working this as an active case. We are using all of the resources we have available," Putnam County Sheriff's Lt. Johnny Greenwood said. "As tips come in, we follow them. Tips have slowed down drastically over time. When we have the opportunity of re-interviewing the players involved, we are making contact with them."


The two married and then divorced within months. Various members of Croslin's family have since been arrested on drug and other charges.

Ronald Cummings, Misty, Questioned in Road Rage Run-in

Ronald Cummings, the father of missing six year old Haleigh Cummings, has been questioned about an alleged road rage run-in with a local Putnam County man under investigation for making harrassing phone calls to his ex-wife, Misty Croslin, the 17 year old babysitter he married a month after she reported his daughter missing almost a year ago.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Cummings was driving a pickup truck that hit another vehicle on Wednesday night on a county road in Welaka, a small community near Satsuma, where he was living with Misty when Haleigh vanished last Feb. 10.

JaxNews4 reports “the rear of Cummings’ pickup struck the front of Charles Jones III’s vehicle. Deputies said Jones told them Cummings stuck a gun out his window and said, “I will kill you.”

According to the police report, deputies said Cummings, 26, and his ex-wife, Misty, said they were riding back to his trailer to pick up clothes she’d left behind before their divorce, when Jones’ tried to run them off the road. Cummings denied he was carrying a gun, and kept the one he did own locked in a gun case at home.

Jones claimed he was the victim of Ronald’s road rage; the incident reports were sent to the state attorney for further investigation.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood said in a press release the incident was not related to their on going investigation of the missing child, and that Misty remains key to the probe for questions police say she’s failed to answer satisfactorily.

Thanks IM for the Eyes for Lies article,....I have felt the same way myself from the beginning and still do......I think if I had just found out that my daughter was missing and dint know the reason why, I would never had said "Id give my life for my childs life back"...it would have hurt to much to even think that way let alone sy it ....I would still be wondering where in the world she was and who had her......not that she was already dead.......Ronald knows ....just as Misty does IMO....

One thing I would like to comment on was the way he turned from crying to answering a question.

Being a safe person for my friend who has anxiety attacks, the way to stop them is to take her from her emotional side of her brain to her cognitive sign of her brain.  If you can get her to think about something, it will stop the anxiety attack, just like what I saw Ron doing.  If you ask questions that require thought or if she can do a crossword puzzle or something that requires thought, it will stop the attack.  Someone at school told me he counts ceiling tiles.  I can only tell you what I have observed.  What I believed we observed is him switching from the emotional side of his brain to his cognitive side.  The cognitive side will overrule the emotion.

I can see both sides of this and think both sides have valid points. 

It is very difficult to tell what someone is thinking/feeling on a good day, let alone when someone is sleep deprived or under the influence.  How many times have we been told we are thinking this or that when that is not what we were thinking at all?  Even when words are typed here in the forum, others misinterpret and I have seen some pretty fiesty "discussions" as a result.

Misty, I believe, is cognitively impaired or learning disabled.  It is very frustrating to know what happened--he made her show him--and listen to her saying the wrong thing because she cannot understand the question.  She may very well be a visual learner or tactile learner and not be able to process auditorily.  I see it with my son all the time.  It is frustrating when he gives an answer I know he does not mean because he misinterprets the question.

I think Greta's question may be hard for Misty.  Which bed is closer to the back door?  One may be physically closer, but not when you consider having to get out of the door of the room first.  I just know what I see every day and I do run a support group for parents and professionals with children with just this issue.

I had attended a conference where they showed us, with a high degree of accuracy, you can tell if someone is a visual, auditory, or tactile (hands on) learner by the direction they shoot their eyes when answering a question.  They are trying to access that part of their brain.  Ron and Misty answer questions with their eyes in different directions.  He may be an auditory learner, you may have to actually show Misty something or re-create the scene. 

I don't think Misty is telling all she knows and I think she is making some of it up to cover her butt.
