I was looking for a video where Anita refers to Joran as "sporter" today. A poster wanted to see it. Anyway, I ended up watching several, and there was a Nova video where Anita was going on and on about how ALE was being cruel to Joran. "They interview him for as much as 10 hours, and keep asking him where Natalee is buried, and they ask him the questions over and over, etc." She was really distraught. It was interesting to watch at this point.

She's come a long way since then. Choosing Richard Gear over what "sporter" is going through now is a real about face!

Well, she is a single lady now (egads, I just pictured her in a leotard singing that song), maybe she was hoping for a chance with Dick, Richard.

If I think about it, it really does not surprise me.  Anita is out for Anita, also.  It is all about the way things look, if he is not on the island, she does not have to look at him, she can disassociate from him.  If he is on the island, all her friends know he is there, she also knew her husband had sway, she couldn't lose.  If she doesn't go to Peru, she has nothing to lose, if she goes, she will lose face, she is not the all powerful wizard of Oz, she is just a witch behind the curtain, and will be exposed.  She works underhanded and dirty, not up close where she can be seen, just heard.

I pretty much believe Anita has washed her hands of Joran. She knows he is in a prison where there is a 99.9% chance he will be killed, yet she is not rushing to go visit him. I dare her to cry fowl when she learns he has been murdered when she obviously was in no hurry to get to her sporter.
Most Arubans hate Joran for what he has caused for their country, and, if I were her, I would be ashamed to go out in public. The ISA really needs to evaluate the influence she may be having on their students. After all, how can anyone look at her and not immediately associate her with her demon seed?

I don't think so. he walked past the camara holding two coffee cups and unlocked the door. Then, he closed the door and asked the maid to let him in saying he had no keys. The camara showed he had keys just a minute before. The scheme could only work if he thought the camara wasn't on or hr thought the camara wasn't there.

Joran's lawyer told us how Joran tried to fake his signature on his confession.  I took a look at the signature and it looks like his name is 3 letters long (and it is hardly that !)  His lawyer said if you compare to his passport you can see the signature on the confession is very different.  His lawyer was hinting to us that Joran did that to give him some room to deny the confession was made by him or was made under duress.  He will have a hard time with that one...and, as an aside......on the confession, next to his signature is his fingerprint.  The authorities in Aruba make the declarant (here Joran) put his thumbprint next to his signature.

On the second anniversary of Caylee Anthony's disappearance , the toddler's grandparents said they can identify with Natalee Holloway's mother, but not with the mother of suspected murderer Joran van der Sloot -- despite the murder charges against their daughter, Casey Anthony.

A judge in Peru officially has charged the young man with murder.



"I don't know if I can identify with Mrs. Van Der Sloot because her son has confessed to something," Caylee's grandmother, Cindy Anthony, said in an exclusive interview with "Good Morning America." "You know, there have been issues where she saw his angry side. I don't know that of Casey. I don't know Casey as being anybody that could hurt anybody."

 "last week" is not specified by date but surely they have found proof of a flight or some other hard copy of the date, and the tournament did not have a stop in Columbia unless it was for VDS to obtain more money for the buy in.
I think there was a mention in an email JVDs sent to another friend, female, on May 25 where he was begging for money that he said he would return double to her when he got back to Aruba...when she refused he told her another friend was lending him 100 or 200 euros ( John Ludwick ? who he hadn't contacted yet? )and he was getting money from his mother and she ( the friend )should forget about it and go on and be successful in life.
 ( something similar- he was writing her off )

So there are a few different friends that were contacted within the dates where, if he had $10,000 on the 10th, he was down to zero ( he says he is hungry and needs to pay for hotel room ) or close to broke by the 25th.

I also saw in his confession that he said he had a $6.000 gambling debt...do you think it is possible he paid someone off to arrange a quick get away maybe thinking in advance he may be caught?

I see a few Arubans dropped off the planet at that time too, Eric Zandaam ( heart attack) and Vrojlik ( 31, heart attack- not sure if there was a connection to the earlier case - NH ) and did Vroljik work for ATA..travel agency?

Just seeing if there is a possible connection to the ex Police , Vroljik, the dates of death, and Jorans departure.

I have serious doubts about Joran actually ever having any plans/intentions on entering and playing in the Lima LAPT.  The poker tournament he had been playing in when he met Natalee and her friends, iirc, was just a regular, local Sunday afternoon tournament held every week at the casino in the Holiday Inn, not an actualy 'professional' type tournament.  I think it was routine for he and Paulus to play in that tournament on Sunday afternoons.

I've found myself wondering lately if perhaps he used some, if not all, of the money he extorted from Beth/JQK to pay Anita back for monies she had loaned/fronted him or even signed for or been liable for if he'd been using Paulus' lines of credit at the casinos, idk.  It's pure conjecture on my part, but it sure feels very "Joranistic" to me.

I think the message he left for Ludwick on the 10th shows that he was already making plans that day to get off the island, even though he didn't leave until the 13th.  I imagine that was due more to airfare and availability, etc.  (Again, pure conjecture.) 

Even more interesting, to me, is the complete and total lie he was telling about returning to his coffee shop in Thailand.  We already know he'd sold it for $12,000 when Paulus died and he was trying to get back to Holland, this according to the couple that bought it.  I'm more curious about that lie than most of his others, only because in my mind it points to the premeditation of killing again on the 5 year anniversary of Natalee's death.  That lie reveals his intention not to stay in Peru.  Hmmm.

I misspoke on Zaandam - he had a stroke as opposed to a heart attack.  I do think the stress of the activities involving Joran on the 10th could have been a factor there.  I do think, however, that the particular Vjrolik (Jaira?) has nothing to do with the case/Joran, but as always, I could be wrong.

Joran Friday in court

LIMA - Joran van der Sloot will appear Friday  before the Peruvian courts.Former anti-corruption magistrate Carlos Córdova Morales will be the case. According to the news would Peru21.pe Cesar Nakazaki new lawyer be Dutch. Other sources report that the U.S. lawyer Joseph Taco Pina, who stood by Joran in the Holloway case, come to Peru.

In the coming days, the investigation surrounding the death of Stephany Flores completed. The Peruvian OM, Van der Sloot murder and robbery charged. The judge will have to address whether Joran acted alone or, as Van der Sloot earlier, there are others involved in the case.

The lawyer of the family Flores is the indictment, however, to be simplistic''and believes that not all questions were answered. He wants so that additional evidence be included in the support of the indictment. He thus refers to the information provided on Joran laptop was found and the testimony of casino visitors that Joran and Stephany have seen together.

Thus, since the declaration of a friend of Joran, and poker players, Erick Cabrera are not included. The court, during the first session should also indicate when the reconstruction of the murder of Stephany Flores to take place. Intrusive press and spectators prevented the reconstruction last week.

Córdova will also judge the confrontation between Joran and the three taxi drivers, who took him to Chile, to initiate. According to Van der Sloot, the three have been aware of the murder. The trio denies this however. Joran will be the actual process begins with a further psychiatric examination subject.

heard this last night on my way home in the car....I just wanted to slap him,  what a friggin idiot.  Then I come here and read  more....the fudgepackin comments made me choke on my drink.  BUT,  reading all of this idiots comments,  maybe there really is more to their "friendship"
