Quote from: "crazybabyborg"

Hi Dayhiker!
I think the very reason that 10 investigators are assigned to this duty is to lend credibility to their forthcoming "cold case" status. "It was the expert opinion of a DUTCH TEAM, not a single Aruban chief of police, that the case has no merit against the "prime" suspects" and the innuendo will be that she ran away somewhere. Oh, they won't come out and SAY that, but it will be subtly reminded that there isn't a single piece of tangible evidence that she is dead, blah, blah, blah. AND of, course, if any such evidence should surface, they can always re-open the case, blah, blah, blah.
I'm echoing others, but one thing you can bank on: Whatever they choose as the status of this case, it will allow, under Aruban law, for NOTHING to be turned over to Beth and Dave. Nothing will be forthcoming that would allow dissection by our media, or law enforcement, or her family. After all, they are protecting their "skyrocketing" tourism industry and the whole point of this little charade is to hopefully shut the mouths of those who keep this case going and shedding darkness on their happy little island. What better way to simultaneously show the world the extent of effort they have undergone to accomodate resolution ( 10 investigators, and finally END this pesky mess FOR GOOD!  Evil or Very Mad

Without question CBB, they live in the Land of the Lies. The case was solved the first three days and they started trying to unsolve it with the arrest of the black security guards on June 5th. Everything since has been a charade.

I have a hard time seeing as to how they could be so stupid as to conduct more of these charades. They have been shredded every time they've tried. We will have to see where this latest move leads. Until then we can only speculate whether they are actually going to do something or try to pull the wool over our eyes, the latter of which has been the norm.

Carpe:

I was just thinking...

Maybe Paulus never knew where the body was hidden.  Maybe he
didn't find out until the search of the rocks area was done.  All that
talk about no body, no crime; may have been his way of trying to
get the information from Joran so he could dispose of her... but
Joran didn't tell him.

Maybe Paulus, knowing Joran better than any of us, knew that his
son had killed Natalee.  Maybe he knew that there was a good chance
that if the body was found, before he could get to it, his son; his first
born dingle-bat that he loves so much, would end up in jail and HE
would have to suffer from the embarrasment of everyone knowing
that he raised a psychopath.

10 Dutch Experts

...arriving today.

THAT is the news. THAT is not just for show, IMO.

Igs,
I tend to agree that ten is a lot for a show.  Three would be a show.  But I dare not get up one shred of hope having been there and done that too many times!   Sad

.

How many Dutch investigators does it take to close a case?

Ten. One to make the announcement and nine to clean up the crap he leaves behind beating it to the airport.

Arrow 10 is alot......but think of how much more cocaine 10 people (beyond reproach) can bring back than just 2 people.......lol....

Well, then why didn't he take care of it?  No body, no crime can only
mean one thing and I think that we all know that there was a body
still in circulation on June 10... Maybe Joran told him what happened.
Maybe he even confessed to killing her, but wouldn't tell his dad where
to find her.  Even he would know that it is wrong to dispose of someone
that has been murdered.  Even with as bad as he is... he knows that it
would be a crime to cover it up... a crime that would mean the end of
his dad's career if anyone found out.

Just for your information, it is not that unusual for a person to confess
to killing someone and, still,  not want to disclose where the body can
be found.  Remember.... he is the one that told the police where to go to
find Natalee on June 10.  Was she there?  I think so.

And sure, Dompig may be right.  Maybe Natalee was buried more than
once, but he never specified whether it was before or after June 10th.

Perhaps a nice fine toothed comb would help? But, don't comb too much, or your fur will end up looking like mine and everything you touch will shock you! Laughing

Yeah... but that wasn't until June 24th, 26th or something like that.  Quite
a while AFTER the search of the rocks.

Hey, Angie!  I'm not real touchy about it, good thing, huh?  But once in a while I think it's a good idea to remember not ALL Dutch are the same.  Take the husband of Klaas, for example.  Is he "Dutch ugly" or "real mean looking"  because he has Dutch name, too.   Shocked  Very Happy  Shocked There are two a's in her name for a reason.   Wink

Not just me but I like to think we are pretty good natured about it.   Very Happy  We'd have to have pretty thick skins to have lasted this long!  I'm an American first and that's what counts to me.  Maybe I should send the Vanderslice cousins to visit Joran.  Or Dayhiker, not sure which!

Just teasing, Dayhiker!
