She is spending $7.31 a day.  She must really be enjoying sitting on her butt and still having unlimited spending without doing anything.  I am betting that there will be a wave of deposits in her account from delusional people who actually feel sorry for her or people that want to contribute to the junk in her trunk and back rot.

I see your point, in that she's getting money to buy stuff without having to do anything.  That's very true.  But then I had a thought:  she's bored. Good.  I hope she is bored to tears and beyond.  For some people boredom can be close to torture.  Casey was used to the night life, getting to party and drink.  And now she's got to stay right there in prison.  Bored.  I think reality must be finally hitting home.  I hope she's realizing it's going to be one boring day after another, with no relief.  Day after day, and hopefully, year after boring year.  Eating has become a her comfort.  The day may come when the funds trickle down to nothing.  What will she do then?  Stay bored... Bwahahahah.  JMHO

Several motions in the first-degree murder case against Casey Anthony will be addressed at a hearing next Friday.

One of the topics to be discussed is a defense motion to dismiss. Casey Anthony's defense claims they and their experts were prevented from properly inspecting the crime scene where her daughter's remains were found in December.

Orange Circuit Judge Stan Strickland will hear the arguments for the motions at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. Strickland will also preside over a status hearing in the check fraud case against Casey Anthony on the same day.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter who went missing last summer. Casey Anthony waited 31 days to report her daughter missing and blamed her disappearance on a nanny, who investigators don't believe exists.

Caylee Anthony's remains were found in December, five months after she was reported missing, in a wooded lot just blocks from the Anthony family home.

In other developments today, Casey Anthony's defense team will receive more investigative reports from prosecutors, a notice filed by the State Attorney's Office said.

About 40 pages will be released to the defense. Most of those will be forensic entomology investigative reports, the state's court filing said.

The documents are being released to the defense as part of the discovery process. The items will later be released to the public.

On Oct. 14, 2008, after she was arrested for the fourth time, investigators described Casey Anthony as "cool as a cucumber" and said their hopes that a murder charge might get the young mother to crack had been dashed.
When she was brought in to sheriff's headquarters one year ago Wednesday, Anthony did not utter a word about her daughter Caylee's whereabouts, but only requested that her attorney be present.

After the grand jury's indictment was handed up, the judge issued an arrest order and Anthony was intercepted as she got out of her mother's car and into the car of her bail bondsmen.

Prior to this time in the case, when she was not in jail, Anthony could often be found visiting her lawyer's office in Kissimmee, usually in a Caylee T-shirt and white sunglasses. At one point, she high-fived her brother, Lee Anthony, and was typically smiling.

Currently, Anthony is being held at the Orange County Jail. Her trial is expected to begin sometime this summer. The state is seeking the death penalty.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty and maintains a babysitter kidnapped Caylee.

It's another milestone in the case against Casey Anthony.

The 22 year old who is accused of killing her daughter Caylee has been in jail for one year.

It was October 14, 2008 when a grand jury returned a murder indictment.

"They have seen and considered things that people should not have to see and consider," Orange-Osceola County State Attorney Lawson Lamar said as he thanked the jurors.

Miss Anthony was arrested later in the day as she drove home from her attorney's office. She has been behind bars ever since.

"Casey is going through a nightmare," defense attorney Jose Baez told reporters.

Baez has brought on a dream team of lawyers to help fight the case tooth and nail.

Miss Anthony faces the death penalty, but her defense will again ask a judge to throw out the charges at a hearing Friday morning.

ORLANDO -- Wednesday marks one year since a grand jury indicted Casey Anthony on a first degree-murder charge in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

On the anniversary of her indictment, the judge in the case has another slew of motions to consider Friday regarding both the murder case and unrelated check fraud charges.

Not only does attorney Jose Baez want his client’s murder trial moved out of Orange County, but he also wants Casey’s check fraud case moved to either Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County or Broward County.
“Miss Anthony cannot get a fair trial by an impartial jury in Orlando because of extensive, inflammatory and prejudicial pretrial publicity in this case,” Baez said in his motion.

The defense also replied to the state’s response for a motion to dismiss Casey’s murder case.

The defense argued the case should be dismissed, because the state ruined important evidence in the case, namely excavating the crime scene where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found in December.

The defense also filed a separate motion to reproduce hard or digital copies of crime scene photographs, and a motion to require potential jurors in Casey’s check fraud case to fill out a questionare.

All of the motions should be hammered out in court Friday.
