I'm still crying over your hurt and hugging Ruby for us. I just don't know what else to do and hope you can forgive me fir not being there. This sucks. : (
an angelic monkey You were here for me last night as were a lot of monkeys when I needed them. I will take the pickles, but not the crack

I am so sorry, Stacey, it was Girls Weekend down the shore. I so wish I was here for you.

It has been so sad here I thought I would give you all a cheer up - the baby lost his first tooth so here is the video he sent to his brother in college . . .

http://<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/befQX7uR6Ac" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ok - So I can not embed! http://youtu.be/befQX7uR6Ac

What a cutie! Thank you so much for sharing that.

Sister - are you feeling any better?
Lovely of you to remember Josef in your story to the children yesterday.
an angelic monkey
can, thank you for asking . . . no, am not much better. Still on antiobiotics and truthfully it took all I had to go and preach yesterday. Have been getting plenty of rest and staying hydrated, so it is just a matter of time. Just am feeling so rotten . . . but I know this too will pass. Have a few more days for the meds and will go back to the doctor if not better.
Thinking of all and praying for a joyous day!

I am praying for you, Sister. I loved that you used Josef in your day with the children.

It seems like there is so much suffering in the monkey cage. Please know that all of you are in my prayers.

Isn't this awesome? It's a pink cement mixer from one of our local businesses. Whoever drives it wears a hot pink shirt, man or woman. At our Cherry Festival, they were a "float" and were handing out pink beads. Guess who got some pink beads? And who says having cancer is no fun?!!
an angelic monkey Wow that is awesome Tevye!!!! What did you have to show to get those beads??? Monkey Devil!
Well, I didn't have to flash my scars, thank goodness! All I had to say was "I'm a survivor, and I LOVE this truck!"
You did it again, you made me laugh. Glad you didnt have to flash scars. MOSTLY I am glad you are a survivor. an angelic monkey

My little nephew was with his dad all weekend and my sister told him about Josef going to doggy heaven and he just called to tell me in his tiny little voice "I'm sorry Joe died on you", yep I lost it. The crying is back again.

Awe, so cute. The innocence of children amazes me.

Reminds me of my little guy. After my mother died, he was here when i got the phone call and when I told hubby that my mother died. So, later on other kids came in room and I see him whisper to them, "mommy's mommy died." It was so precious the way he told them and so like him, a sweetie. Then ,later on, going to bed he goes "mommy, I love you." We say this all the time, but this time it was different. Maybe I am nuts, but it felt different.

My big boss sent an email out to all the doctors and one sent me a very kind email about how he is hurting for me, told me about his dog Achilles and if I need anything he is there for me, another posted condolences on my facebook. tell me what you all think about this..yesterday hubs and I took the 2 oldest grand daughters to Toys R Us to pick out a few new toys for the play room..the 8 yr old picked out what appeared to be a barbie doll type who appeared to be pregnant..there was a daddy doll and a older sister doll in the package...and a little baby...I was skeptical but agreed..then we get out to the car and I was unpacking the dolls, the mother doll upon inspection had a stomach that popped off and you place the baby in her stomach! I marched back in the store with the grands and hubs and complained to management that I felt that this was inappropriate and wanted my money back..I think that the girls parents would have not liked it if the girls had this doll..Both hubs and I felt that it was a bit too much for young girls to be playing with dolls like that...how do you all feel?
also, I saw on tv that there is a doll that the little girls can pretend nursing their babies..how do you all feel about that? I know that all of this is natural and all of that..I just guess that I am not ready to discuss why this and that...know what I mean..

My daughter had one of these years ago. We lost the belly, ooops. It is so unlike the real thing it did not bother me at all. Whose belly just pops off and a baby pops out? If only it was that easy. She also had the puppies that velcro up the belly with puppies inside too.

one of the schools had actual baby dolls that were computerized to see what kind of care that they were getting from the teenagers who were in charge of them..Like they would cry at
night when hungry or wet and the kids had to care for them as if they were real babies..they actually got graded on this from the computers in the doll or something like that...that is a great life lesson if you ask me! I think they had to be in charge of the baby for a week or more!
the parents of the teen were so glad when the baby went 'home'..lol..
LOL Cookie, I was in high school during the dark ages, so all we had were eggs. I do remember a friend's daughter that had one of those computerized babies for class. She brought it to the bowling alley and I asked her how long she had to keep it, she said too dang long. I think it may have traumatized her because from what I hear, she still hasn't had any children Monkey Devil!

please pray for Josef. We are at the vet right now he isn't doing well. Nephew brought us here. Had to carry him down the stairs

I am afraid I already know the end result. I saw Josef's pic on your avi as I went to post thoughts on Northern's thread. I am crying so hard now I can hardly breathe. My heart goes out to you, friend. I truly don't know what to say except I love you!

Thank you Bearly, no need to cry, my heart is in pieces and have done enough crying for you and me both. I love you too. an angelic monkey

I just got home, Josef is on the oxygen and IV to keep him stable until the morning. I am praying he makes it through the night so that the girls at PetLodge can see him before we do what we have to do tomorrow. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. an angelic monkey Never thought it would happen this way. Just hard on me right now.

Oh JSM - my heart breaks for both of you right now. I am so sorry. No words to ease the pain but know that you are a good mommy to him and have always done what was best for him.
TBM, thank you, I have tried my best for Josef and I guess I didn't do all I could. Thank God for my nephew and all you monkeys for being here for me and big thank you to CC. Love you all.

You did more than enough, JSM. The only reason he was here as long as he was is because of you. You have gone above and beyond in your care for Josef. Please, believe that. I wish you would stop being so hard on yourself, you are such a kind, loving, and giving person who has been amazingly sensitive to all of Josef's needs. You have treated your fur baby with the utmost care.

an angelic monkey Thank you Bearly, I am still having a hard time of it, kind of like your friend when she lost her pup. I still beat myself up about it, but when I was at Mass yesterday morning the kind lady that hugged me made me feel much better. I did all I could for Josef, just wish I could have done more.

Not sure about a puppy in my future, if I do get one I want to get an older rescue ACD, doesn't matter if it is red or blue, but I would rather rescue one that is older that can't find a home because puppies can always find a home. Older ones can't. But that is a long ways off, still crying my eyes out at night so I don't think I would be a very good puppy mom until my heart heals from the loss of Josef.

Each time that I have lost a pet, I have immediately gotten another one. It filled such a void in my heart. I had someone to give a home to again and to get their unconditional love..it took nothing away from the pet that I lost, but suddenly my spirits were lifted almost immediately..can't explain it..
it works for me but that does not mean that it is for everyone. It is hard to go through that pain and some would rather not experience it again.
If and when our dog passes, we are not going to get one for awhile since we travel quite a bit ..but later on we probably will..we have always had a dog in our home...will be strange without one.

Aww - JSM - you would always be a good puppy mom!! But I do agree about the older dogs - or older than puppies. Everyone wants a pup and the more "mature' ones get overlooked. The Criminal was a puppy when we got her and oh so cute. she turned out to be a terror. Chubbie was maybe a year - already potty trained and oh so easy to assimilate into our house. My daughter has a puppy (about 6 months now) and it takes so much energy and patience.

Just rambling...but I hope today is filled with smiling memories of Mr. Poopie Pants!

Cookie, I know what you mean about being strange without one, I hope yours lives a long time. The pain is unbearable right now. I don't know if I can get one right now, but CC says I have so much love to give to another one. Only time will tell, still trying to find ways to ease the pain. Just saw a dog in the parking lot at work and couldn't even look at him without crying.

Cad
Caddy, the older ones are often overlooked for puppies and I don't know if I have the energy or patience for a puppy. Luckily, when I got Mr Poopie Pants, he was an outside farm dog, but was immediately house trained when I moved to the house. Hug Chubs and the Criminal for me please. an angelic monkey
