« Reply #1320 on: September 22, 2011, 09:51:48 PM »

I just saw the news, tried to go back and see what happened.

I'm so sorry JSM!

It seems like yesterday I was where you are, it still hurts and I still miss her...always will.

But there is no pain or suffering now for Josef, or my Blondie.  I'm sure she greeted him at the Rainbow Bridge, that's her way... and we'll see them again one day.

I'm praying for you, and hoping that someday soon you'll find another that makes you smile again.  You went over and above for Josef, and I know he would want another furbaby to experience your love; when you're ready.

(((HUGS)))

an angelic monkey Texasmom, there are no words I can say but thank you and I am very sorry for your loss of Blondie. I know there is no more pain and yes I will be seeing him again. Thank you for the prayers and hugs. They mean a lot to me.

Thanks JSM

I hope you enjoy tonight, a nice dinner will do you good, and I'm sure your nephew has been worried about you.  I'm glad he was there to help you.
Thanks Texasmom, he has been worried and I had fun with him. He made me laugh so did his friend. I am glad he was here for me too. Hope you are doing well.  an angelic monkey

I just don't get it, I'm in my 60's ...we of the me generation....free love etc., although mom never had "the talk" with me we had a somewhat limited sex education in school, I believe our generation did a much better job at taking pre-cautions or just not "doing it" then what is happening now.

Have a friend, she in her mid-30's two teenage daughters who are very outgoing lovely girls.  At 14 the oldest became PG, of course mom let her make her own decisions - keeping vs adoption.  She kept the baby, she now almost 17 is ready for the party scene and 2 year old has become a hinderance, haven't we heard that one before.

Anyway I asked friend NOW will you consider Birth control for both the girls and why didn't you insist prior to the pregnancy as here you are raising another child.........answer I got, which is all too common these days.......Well we don't want them to think we are condoning they're actions, blah blah.   We taught them better than that, yada yada.....This coming from a woman who herself was PG at 15 and had an abortion that she regrets  to this day!

I just don't get it.......So unfair to these babies that they are bringing into this world, they being too immature and seeing the terrible situations/endings that some of these babies are enduring...............end of rant!

I know what your saying. I don't get it either. The ones that suffer are the children in most cases. The young girls mess up their lives and most grandparents end up doing the raising. The last I read it was something like 63% of grandparents were taking care of the grandchildren. I don't know how they do it. I had my daughter and her three with us three years. And it was exhausting.

Bearly, not good enough for somebody?  He deserves more?    What?  Come on, you cannot possibly believe that.  Men do not stay around if they do not want to be with you.  He wants to be with you and you need to not think he deserves more than you.  I do not know the man or you really, cept what I read on here, but give the man some credit to know exactly what he deserves.  YOU!!

Thanks, Zoo.  I have just not been feeling well.

an angelic monkey Bearly, prayed for you pain to cease at Mass today and that you deserve the man if he is deserving of you. You are a special gift from God that any man would and should cherish. Take it easy and know we are here for you.  an angelic monkey

Thanks, JSM, I think he is what is making my stomach hurt.  Can't be good. I wish I could talk about it here, but I am not sure I want him to read about it anywhere.   otoh, someone I know contacted me on the site the other day.  He did not recognize me, even though we have seen each other less than 3 months ago.  That was really funny.

I understand Bearly, you have my email address, email me if you need to please. I am praying for you.

Thank you.  My stomach is feeling better.

Any reason not to send your old cell phone to someone who needs a new one?  Thanks, Monkeys.

No reason whatsoever, I used to donate my at the post office they would send them to soldiers in Iraq.

My mom donates her old one to JSM  Now if only the new iPhone would come out, I get her old one.

I donated my old ones, I don't know why a request for my old one by a person made me so cautious.

I give mine to the sheriff and they give them out to women at the battered women's shelter to make 911 calls if they are in danger from their batterers.

Thanks, 4D.

Bearly, hope you recover soon from you girls' weekend.  Don't blame you for not missing it, nothing like being with folks that know your history.

I read that you have been seeing this fella.  Wasn't sure that you'd got past the on-line stage.

Well, I hope HE is very special coz we all know YOU are!  enough said.

What does cubby think of him?

My friends daughter raised her son solo and never brought a man into the household.  Her son is 16 now and she is seeing someone.  When she told her son, he said "Good Mom, what took you so long?"

Blessings.
can

We cannot meet until December, he is out of the country on business.  I know this to be true.  I have his address there.  We text and IM every day.  He sends me pictures of the job site, too, with him in it.

December is not far off and texting and IM and phone calls keep me and CC happy, wishing for your happiness as well Bearly. You truly deserve it.

Thanks, JSM.

JSM--

I just came here and read about your Josef.  I'm so sorry.  I believe there is a dog heaven and my Stormyweather is there, she's no longer blind, and she was waiting for Joe so they could have a good romp together.  And my Rascal, who was mistreated as a pup before someone dumped him at my house and was frightened of everything, is no longer frightened.

Josef has no pain, he is running around the way he once did.

I really do believe they are waiting for us.  And if there isn't a heaven for dogs, the most loyal and wonderful creatures God has made, then there's no heaven at all.
Thank you Babybear, I believe there is a dog heaven and know Josef is in a better place, running free with Rascal and Stormyweather, Zoe and all other pups that are no longer suffering. Thank you Baby, means a lot to me.  an angelic monkey

And Roscoe, too, who seemed to be poor Josef's tummy and storm partner.  It is amazing they went at much the same time.

Bart has come home to stay at my friend's house, he is a hunting basset and looks a little different than Roscoe, he is also a rescue and is 10 years old.  He has an ear infection, which is being treated and teeth that are not good.  He did not eat the hard food they said he would at his foster parents' house.  Maybe it is because his teeth hurt.  He is a cutie and is mostly ginger with white paws.  It looks like he has baby socks on.

Yes, prayers for Roscoe too Bearly, it was so weird they went around the same time. Now no more pain. Bart sounds adorable, sorry about the ear infection and his teeth not being good. Maybe try to soften the food with a little water and his teeth will be less sensitive. Glad your friend got him and she is happy

His history was not entirely true.  At some point he was in a kennel.  His sister, who he lived with all of this time, died of a heat stroke.  He is a picky eater, but she has done her magic on his food and he now laps it up.  His ear infection looks a little better and he seems happy.  He is very sociable, but he appears not to be house trained, although they said he was.  The last place he was in was a foster home with 3 other bassets that belonged to the owner.  He seems happy enough, maybe he needs to go out more often.  He is a cutie and I believe Roscoe sent him to his Mommy.  She has cut down considerably on her drinking.
