So, my 11 year old problem child decided he did not want to clean his room. So when I send him to the naughty corner he decides he is leaving because I hate him. Running the vac I did not hear him leave. 15 minutes later I ask the 3 year old where his brother is. He says he left. Can not find the little bugger. Scared me to death. Finally found him and take him to the police station to have him get a good talking to. The cop says - sorry you do not live in my county and I am getting ready to leave so I can not do it. WTH - we live a mile from the county line and would think he would at least try to work with the kids. BUT NO. Wonder if he would have helped look for him if he was reported as a runaway?  Sad that people like him give the rest of the hardworking cops a bad name.

  JSM,did you see this?     That's 04Bull.

Just found that our youngest grandchild (5) is having surgery to remove a foreign object from his nose in the morning.Apparently whatever he got up his nose was pushed further when he tried to get it out.He didn't tell anyone.Dr. was doing x-ray and made this discovery. Now we know why he didn't get over his nasal congestion. While they have him there they are going to remove his adenoids. All I can think about is when we lost Aiden at the hospital.I know my stepdaughter is a nervous wreck.I am gonna pray about it and try to look calm.    an angelic monkey   Please pray for the little one.
See you Monkeys tomorrow.

I've only remember the kid with the crayon, and then we had friends who shoved a bean up his nose and it got lodged up there. I don't think I ever shoved anything up my nose, and my kids didn't either. A jaw breaker, that is pretty big to shove up your nose.

When my brother was little he used to stick everything that would fit up his nose..he put some dry pinto beans in there once...Mom had a devil of a time getting them out..but she got them...
Wow, I bet your mom would get very frustrated with that. I guess some kids just like to shove things up their noses.

Prayers that all goes well tomorrow!  I did get an interesting way to remove things from kids noses. Simply plug the nostril that does not have the thing in it. Then take a bottle of canned air and spray a puff in the kids mouth. My sister tried it and shot the thing across the room. I am glad none of my kids have done the up the nose trick but I will remember this when it happens!
Wow  Who would have thought that.

It's the blue rosary tonight for you and your grandson, missy! Stay cool. We'll pray for you.
Blue rosary? How many colors do you have?  I have a pearl one, crystal one I got at confirmation, one my sister (non Catholic) made for me for Christmas and another that I got at church that is broken. I liked it the best because it smelled like roses.

I think tonight I will use my new rosary for Trimm, for you and for the people of Haiti.  an angelic monkey
I have my First Communion standard issue white, in pieces. I also have our sons' FC rosaries. I have a plastic glow in the dark (remember hanging them over the lampshades before we went to bed and then using them as little lights?), a blue one one son bought me in Farmington Hills, a pink one from my Gramma, a red one from my aunt, and a blue crystal one I bought off ebay. I like the one from Gramma best, and today, darn it all...do you think I could find any one of them to say?? Had to do the rosary on the fingers thing. Not to worry, good sis  is coming tonight, she'll help me find them all!
Sorry Teyve you couldn't find your beads. Souns like my trip in Colorado, we don't do rosary before Mass, but I thought I was there on time for Mass. Nope, I got there in time for rosary and had to count on my fingers. Good thing I have all ten of them. I would have been lost.

OMG, I remember have a big plastic rosary that glowed in the dark, I put mine on the headboard of my bed, it was like a little night light. Wonder what happened to that. When my mom passed away, I went through everything and it wasn't there, I'm thinking she may have given it to some child she knew or maybe to one of the residents at the nursing home. It was very large.

Good night everyone, hope you all have a good night. It has been a long day, and from the wind Zoe got so upset she had a bout of irritable bowel, and I always worry when that happens. It has cooled off, and the wind stopped so I hope her stomach has calmed down. She is so high strung, just like me

trimm~  I hope all goes well with your youngest grandson's surgery.   My sons never managed to get anything stuck in their noses, thank goodness.  But the youngest one did sit in his high chair one morning and pack his ears full of scrambled eggs    I guess I should have been watching closer instead of washing up the dishes...Anyway, I took him to the pediatrician and she took a look in his ears and decided they had to be washed out.  My poor little man.  He had really packed the eggs in there with his  fingers.  I cried along with him while they washed them out. It had to be awful for him.    He was in one of those cocoons, but still it was rough.  Glad he didn't have to have surgery or anything. But I'll be thinking of your grandson tomorrow, and hope the adenoids come out with no problems and he recovers quickly.   an angelic monkey

trimm~  I hope all goes well with your youngest grandson's surgery.
