But remember Deepak did not first learn of the gardener's statement from Wendy Terry but from a Mansur who just happened to also be in jail at the same time as Deepak.  Resulted in Deepak throwing the dominoes.

Yes, for some reason, that gardener always seemed to make Deepak very nervous.  So naturally, he was deported.  At least we were led to believe he was.  I never did really believe that, however.  He had worked for Mansurs for a long time and I believe they could have gotten him a work visa or whatever.

Whether or not the gardener was deported is a non issue......
like paulass said...it is perception........and the perception paulass referred too was Nancy Grace, Greta, US news organizations....he was playing to the international news community.....
jossy mansurs was playing as a double agent at best...offering support to Beth, but not crapping in his own backyard.....
the extend of the cover-up at all levels is appalling....
the gardener probably tends to paulass's garden........

The notion of perception (to me) means the following:
International media was all over this case AND Aruba.
I whole heartedly agree with a "board room" team scenario to diffuse attention.
Aruba used blogs, bloggers, TV appearances/interviews with island attorneys, spokespersons, etc.(Jossy, Reuben, Tito, Arlene)
Blogs became popular. So did disinformants - CAPS, etc..

Any discussion of truth (related items) was ignored and diffused. Completely picked apart and steered away from. On the flip side, any rumors that were known to be false that media picked up on and ran with were aided along by disinformants. Likewise, any rumors that needed to be created were created by those same disinformants.

From a physical evidence standpoint, they did the same. Any leads that may have led to evidence recovery were thwarted at all costs. Turtle mating season issues, dump fires, lack of proper permits, etc. Again, on the flip side, any known false clues or search areas, Aruba would line up and spend tons of money, hire photography crews to film their efforts.

Conclusion: They just invented rumors and leads and threw it against the wall. If it stuck and got some legs within the media, they ran with it. Otherwise, if it did not stick, they would meet in the WAR ROOM, create a new scenario and repeat the process.

Everyone felt the need to defend their precious Aruba. It turned into USA vs Aruba in search for simple truth. Aruba made the decision early on to go with Paulus and wanted, at all costs, to sweep under the rug the murder of a tourist. They knew it would hurt their image. In the long run (hindsight is 20/20), they have hurt their image much worse by going to the ends of the earth to deny, deny, deny rather than solve a simple crime and take the temporary negative publicity that would have came and passed four to five years ago. They have made their bed and will forever have to lay in it.

I'm stunned from the standpoint that i thought he wouldn't be the first but,if he knows as much as we think he does what better way to cover everyone's AZZZ then shut the mouth....Joran,Deepak,Satish...What's the over and under on them if Paulus has died????

Paul van der Sloot the father of Joran van der Sloot died this afternoon due to a heart attack.  Unofficial reports say that he was playing tennis and suddenly collapsed.
Paramedics rushed in and applied CPR, but with no results.
