I recall too attempts by posters here to change the words of van der Straaten's statement to Greta, claiming his words were mixed and confused due to translation errors.

Hi Hammer!  I almost added that retort of his, but wanted to be certain that I remembered he said it...as I too, thought him very rude with that smarty-pants remark...and on TV at that. He quickly turned and walked off from Greta.

Just hitting the highspots with the posts since last night's little set-to I ran into, and I am seeing the Miami-PlainView info and the Easywriter comment about Straten.

YES, I agree, there are secrets to be had in Miami. And that "itinerary" for PVDS would not be difficult at all, the places referenced are within 3 or 4 blocks of one another along Brickell Avenue. PVDS could WALK and hit them all (although he might have to cross a bridge). I know the Miami grid for addresses, trust me on that one.

PVDS as a Vaquero makes more sense to me than even his alleged Famiglia connections. Of course, who says he can't be both at the same time    ...

I am 99.99999% CERTAIN that VDStraten IS NOT DIRTY HAND.

I am 99.99995% CERTAIN that Rudy Croes IS.

Easywriter's "source" is 100.00000% correct about the Dutch judges. They have done more to hurt this case than we will ever know. Barbara Kapnick is cut from the same cloth too.

Folks, the High Left HATES Beth Holloway Twitty and wants this case put to bed permanently.

I got the impression that it is not a done deal yet and there were a few more hurdles to jump, or more red tape to cut before the plans are formalized.  Most seem to think that it will happen and it will be a good thing.  Let’s hope so!

That is absolutely correct! Van der Straaten was the officer who made the decision to arrest Paulus, for example, and he is the one that mistrusted Joran from the beginning and had his misgivings about him; misgivings that turned out to be the truth! People have speculated a lot about v/d Straaten, but all in all he did his job and made the arrests that had to take place. It was the judges flown over from Curacao who applied their socialist views to the case and released people who should still be in detainment.

He arrested Paulus because he needed to talk to his son.  He did not make the arrests until it was too late.

Who is the one who assigned Dennis Jacobs to he case?  Wasn't it Van der Straaten.  Why was Van der Straaten seen in Jacobs office when he was told to stay away.

Now, information are coming out that Jan v/d Straatten was indeed investigated and had telephone conversations with people about the case that he should not have contacts with, or even talk about the case.

He's trying to serve up this story as v/d Straaten funneling the case docs thru Diario. Will be interesting to see if this story is only more political in-fighting that ends up only hurting Natalee's case, or something with more meat to it.

Maybe we will get to see a proces-verbaal with v/d Straaten investigating his own cell records?

That's what I thought ~ I do so hope it happens too, as I think Holland would like to lance that boil which has overtaken Aruba and made it so dangerous for well-meaning and trusting tourists....not to mention shining outside light onto the deliberately closed and darkened haven, bringing some justice for Natalee and her family.

wow ~ I just got one down to 708kb....  Probably not until tomorrow before I finish all 3 of them ~ but may I email them to you, along with the 2 Photoshop files that they link to, please?

I know you have both Photoshop and Illustrator ~ and can edit these files if ever necessary ~ and I don't want to be the only one with these editable files ~ and you're much more important and in touch with what's going on than I am...

So, may I send them to you, please?  Should I send them in 3 or 4 separate emails ~ or can your mail server handle attachments that are roughly 3MB in size?

Sure, email when you are ready.  I'm not sure how much my server can take.  Try all at once and if that doesn't work them split them up.

There are many, many things I do not understand about the names in Aruba we have heard over and over the past year, but I do know Jossy has always been clear about his feelings toward Dutch elitist.  However, he has faith in van der Stratten and feels he was trying to get the job done against some significant interference.

If he was a key element in a cover-up on behalf of Paulus, I just don’t see him saying anything that might incriminate Joran in those early days of the investigation.

Maybe all you "Shango-Heads" out there can answer this for me.  I've seen the term "Dirty Hand" used in here quite frequently...especially when the topic of convo is, in fact, Shango.  With this being the case, how can we go against his/her "teachings" and say anyone other then VDS is "Dirty Hand" when Shango him/herself alluded to that fact early on (by way of "authenticating" another posters guess on these boards)?  Sounds a little contradictory to me...

Just curious.  Again, I am far from the Shango expert, so...

You could have a point sb.  And, since we've been reading some of these statements that have been released of late, it seems is VDS was so involved in protecting Joran (and the K2's indirectly), he wouldn't have made some of the statements he has, or involved some of the people in the process of this investigation.

Sure, it's VERY easy to be suspicious of him and his actions during the initial stages.  But, I have found it very odd of him to make such incriminating statements is his sole purpose was to ensure that no prosecution take place on these (3) guys...
