Pretty much echo's what is said here....the only thing I would disagree with is that KC gives her undivided attention. IMO I don't see that, she's constantly picking and "organizing" or talking to someone...just my 2 cents

I just notice the hard wooden benches in the courtroom, and this is their biggest and best courtroom.  I tell ya, those benches are murder on the derrière. I don't know how anyone makes it through long trials sitting on those.  CJBP's courtroom has individual seats, much nicer.

It just kills me to hear him whine about media. 

Maybe her defense will be that her hands killed Caylee -- acting independently of her mind. Crap, I hope I didn't give them any ideas.

She is all chipper this morning...she got a good dose of the attention that she was craving yesterday. I tell you, I have never wished harm on anyone, but yesterday when someone was saying maybe she was on the verge of having a stroke, I found myself hoping that if she did it would be one of those who left her bedridden and unable to function physically on her own and at the mercy of her caregivers, but leave her just mentally aware enough to be able to know exactly what was going on around her and unable to communicate her thoughts and feelings vocally....trapped in her body....jeez...I am not a mentally healthy person when it comes to her....I better pray about this!

It is NOT attorney/client privilege when they are stupid enough to say things without turning off a mike which was already remedied for these whiners.    The media and the public is not prevented from discussing what they see.    Every morning its a complaint & every time a new panel comes in his client has to attempt to look like she is too ill to stand trial.

He's not committing to automatically thinking he would be called for this case but was aware it could be.   If he wanted to be off the jury or sympathized with the defense he wouldnt be trying so hard to appear non bias to the defense.

I have no doubt all of us would be dismissed for our participation here.

I could not sleep last night for thinking about this.  If you put all of Casey's looks, even though someone else may have chosen her clothes, and all of her varying behaviors together, it may be a set up for the multiple personality disorder.  Not that I believe it, but they could go so far as to put her on the stand and try to evoke different behaviors.  Ugh.  I am very worried, I am afraid she could almost pull it off.

Baez says 31 days, this guy then guesses 2 weeks. Oh yeah, he wants on the jury.

I woke up to a vivid dream aobut a jury being seated.  There were 7 women and 6 men, but that does not equal 12, so it makes no sense. 

IDK, I heard that for the 1st time on Nancy Grace last night. I don't see it at all. I just see a guilty person trying not to think about what she did.

Are they aware of the potential jurors' real names?  Could they do a quick look up on Face book or other social media?

So, let's say 20 hours, knowing there will not be 20 people in a row, looking at at least Wednesday with 8 hours a day. 

Judge is going to have to put limits on these folks.  These people are not on trial. 

I agree with you. The purpose of the jury is that they discuss and come to a joint decision which means that someone may have to change their opinions in this case.

All I know is that I feel sorry for these jurors.  I am beyond bored and I don't have to sit through this.  This is ridiculous.  I cannot believe they will do this for each potential juror. 

They are only going to question the intelligent jurors who appear to be able to make a decision based upon the evidence.  The ones that can be swayed one way or other based upon what Casey is wearing in the courtroom the Defense will immediately OK without question.

I believe it was established yesterday that the state and defense would each have one attorney ask about pre-trial publicity and one attorney ask about the death penalty.

Unfortunately, that is a factor & I've been for removing that "carrot" from potential jurors.   Beyond an initial presser after a case concludes, it is my view that jurors profiting in any manner whatsoever should be restricted.

Finnell is way beyond boring..and repetitive.  She just needs to know are you for or against the DP..and if they understand the term mitigating circumstances.  She'll have her time in court at the end during pealty and sentencing phase to give this speel.  She can not take up this much time on repetitive issues.  Read em what the DP means and get this show on the road.  ASk if they are for or against, ask if they know what LWOP means and move on to the next juror.  She is trying this case and mitigating it befoe it even reaches the trial phase.

If we go way back in the archives, if memory serves I estimated this voir dire would take 2-4 weeks so I tend to agree somewhat that the earliest we will begin opening statements is a week from now but not quite as far out as June 1st.

Casey is writing an awful lot today considering she was portraying that she couldnt move them yesterday.   She didnt cry that "someone" left her child in that manner as opposed to crying for herself.   There are no words adequate enough to express the vehement disdain I have for her.

I can't really watch this yet attentively bec. I'm @ the w word, however, they need to start @ 7am. and go to midnight, no breaks, if this is how long they're going to take to question one prospective juror.

I understand, but I would never be able to serve as a juror.  Once those questions are posed, they would remain in the back of my mind.  Now they have been asked, I expect them to be used  as KC's defense.

The length they are going to in just this phase, good heavens!!  About a hundred years ago I sat on a jury for a murder trial, and all they asked was yes/no questions, short and to the point, on to the next prospective juror.  This is nonsense!!  It's as if the prospective juror is on trial here.

This or George being the father is the only scenario that I can see the defense actually using that MIGHT have a chance to explain this in a way that will favor Casey.  The dynamics of pregnancy through incest would be the most compelling defense I can think she could have.  Nothing else could even touch the weirdness (insert other approp. words) of the actions by parties to this case.  I don't even think Lee  being the father would be all that compelling to change the outcome.

That is what I'm thinking.  Accountability yes and actually save her life maybe.  That is the only explanation that I could see that would make any sense as to her disregard for life and the, well celebration of death, other than just evil. 

I have served on a jury more than once. Never in a criminal case because of too many people in my family and friends in LE. They didn't want anyone with that background because they felt I would be biased toward the prosecution. I can't say they were wrong, but I have watched the questions in some very high profile cases and I have never seen a potential juror questioned for almost 3 hours. That is longer than many witnesses in the case will testify. Bozo is getting on my nerves.

I hate to admit it, but I'm actually feeling a twinge of empathy for the A's this morning. I hope they're watching and this will be their wake up call. Most will agree that Cindy and George adored Caylee, most will agree that Lee and his parents have a civil and respectful adult-child parent relationship. While I do believe there is some dysfunction in the home, I'm not so sure it is what Casey or Baez have claimed.

I honestly believe Casey is a sociopath. There is a genetic component and while there are very subtle behaviors in early childhood, a sociopath is difficult to diagnose until the behaviors and mannerisms become notable, usually in the teen years. From what I have read on the disorder, there is no treatment, a sociopath does not acknowledge, nor will they admit that there is anything wrong with them, therefore they will not work on improving themselves and their relationships, this is the narciscism characteristic associated with a diagnosed sociopath. There is no treatment for one who suffers for this personality disorder (It's actually their victims that suffer, since a sociopath is incapable of feeling any true emotions). If this is the case, Cindy and George could have been the best parents ever and still Casey would be who we see today. I'm not giving C & G a pass here, but with the line of questioning today it's obvious where the defense is going with their strategy. I hope CA, GA and LA have had enough of Casey destroying their lives and placing blame for all her issues onto them. I hope the time has come where they will finally hold her responsible for her actions. I hope that when they take the witness stand, they tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I think it is the only way they will be able to move forward with their lives and stop the sociopath that has destroyed them all....JMHO

Maybe the procedure with this particular juror is different for some reason? JP was saying something about the Prosecution picking odd and the Defense even, or something like that. That sounds different that what is currently going on.

Not me, they did this to themselves.  If they had protected and been Caylee's voice since the beginning, this would not be happening, IMO.  The duffense is trying to put blame elsewhere, no other defence, and they chose the A's, cause the meter reader was out.

I have to say I agree with you with a qualification. A sociopath uses sex as a weapon. If this was after she was a teenager, it would not matter to me and I would suspect she instigated the sex. That is a very common ploy of sociopath women to use for manipulation in not only a family but for whatever purpose they have. If she was a young child, I would have to say LWOP but as still not release her back upon society. Thousands of young women have been sexually molested but don't murder their child because they are tried of them and angry at their parents.

I have a cousin who was molested from about age 9 and she still had sex with her father as a teenager and chose to live with him instead of her mother.  Her mom was very controlling and mean, but her dad was molesting her and bought her a brand new sportscar before she could even legally drive it.  I NEVER understood why she continued to have sex with him as a teenager.  She had a psychotic break and is a certified, diagnosed schizophrenic.  I guess that's why I couldn't kill ICA if GA molested her, but my cousin is not the person she could have or would have been, and if she killed her child, I'd lock her up for life too.  As sad as it is, stuff like that changes people forever.

I agree, not everyone has a break with reality that is molested.  I forgot to add my cousin got pregnant too, but had an abortion.  So so sick, and so so sad.

Interesting I had a girlfriend from early childhood who had very similar circumstances. There must be something about molestation which brings out buying a sports cars in the perps. 30 minutes per side is too long, that is an hour in addition to what time the judge uses to ask the list of quetions.  that would be at the minimum 36 hours to get through the 36 they have left.  No breaks.  So, looking at 3 full days. 

I guess I am forgetting that there will be potential jurors that come in and immediately say they think she is guilty and would be dropped immediateLY?

Whoever this reporter is on InSession just said that the judge cannot limit voir dire, by giving a time limit, that it would be reversible on appeal.

What we are seeing from what I perceive is bozo trying out his trial scenario on the jurors. This is not supposed to be a trial opening statement which he is making this. The prosecution has had to object a number of times and the judge really needs to put a stop to this line of questioning. There is no way to seat a jury with all of his ramblings. His inexperience is really showing through this and just my opinion but I believe he is putting a bad taste for himself in the minds of the jurors if he keeps it up.

I don't know the answer.  I do now know why everyone and their dog has retained attorneys after hearing Finnel list off mitigating circumstances in the case.  We are assuming it is George they are going to pin the sexual abuse on, I have always wondered if they were going to add a different target like a family friend, extended family or long time boyfriend.

He cannot liit voir dire but he can limit questions that are deemed inappropriate or beyond the scope.

Mark Lippman seemed to dance around that question a bit.   He stated that they would sue, but who?   He also stated that the defense team is entitled to present Casey's defense.   The only one damaging George Anthony is his daughter by her jail letters & whatever she has uttered otherwise...maybe he should reflect on that!

And I do think she looks amazing, but I don't see a difference in her looks.  She is a very attractive lady.

and I don't think as many of the pot, jurors will be as chatty.  Lordy, he was becoming progressively more comfortable with the process and seemed to feel right at home.  Noticed he didn't give to many "I don't know" answers.

Could be just blabbing and idle threats. You can't sue if it is the truth and WHO would he sue? Even if it is a lie how would he prove it? He has done everything to set this up with his actions. His past history with women, his "secret" phones with KC, and them hiding so much from Cindy would all look incriminating,  not to mention the lies he has told to try to cover this up.

The 2nd DCA held in Roberts v. State, 937 So. 2d 781 (Fla 2nd DCA 2006), that while the trial court has discretion to limit the amount of time for voir dire, if the trial court is going to do so, it must give the parties “reasonable notice” of the time constraints. In this case, the court had not told either party that there was any time limit on voir dire before the questioning started, and thus the imposition of a ten minute time limit in the midst of voir dire was reversible error.

From what we have seen, Casey only said she "thinks" George "may" have abused her too. She said that she woke up and discovered Lee fondling her breasts.  Unless she has suddenly remembered George sexually abusing her, I think George will be used for all other aspects, but not sexual abuse. I think Ann Finnell is really a nice person. She is always so polite.  This is her job and it hasn't turned her into an azzhat.  Of course we are not a trial yet so things could change with her.  We'll see.

Hi all..I just tuned it, but wow...that female lawyer sure gave us a hint about how the defense is going with this case...dysfunctional family, brain development, abuse.....if George is mad now wait until the defense tells the world that George and Cindy were gosh awful, terrible parents that hurt their child.  That's why ICA doesn't want to see them.

I don't know, but seems to me I remember something about JP being "head judge" ...or whatever the title is in OC, so I imagine it would land back on his desk and he would play a role in some capacity, not necessarily as the presiding judge, should the case be re-tried.
