I'm so saddened to hear Jeff Ashton is retiring at the end of the week.   Casey Anthony ruins every ones life, she will continue to do so.

Watching Fox News & Juror 14 talked to Cavuto via phone. She said the Prosecution didn't show motive. She was an alternate. All the pros that thought Casey would be found guilty are saying the Prosecution overcharged & shouldn't have had the dp on the table.

Bull Butter!  News to Juror 14, THEY did not do their job, IMO. The jurors gave it five minutes and scrammed out of that Hotel.
Who are they trying to fool?  They did not even have one dog-on question or even request testimony read back to them.

If they had such a problem figuring out motive, why didn't they bother to go back and look at the evidence/testimony to do their best to see it? To understand where the prosecution was coming from?  Didn't they care about Caylee???  Didn't they want to get to the bottom of what happened, and why?  I thought the prosecution did a pretty darn good job with what they had, if you ask me.

In the aftermath of this shocking verdict my take away is the prosecution may have made the following strategic mistake.

Instead of emphasizing the premeditation (chloroform searches) and the cold calculated desire to kill her child for a new found freedom, perhaps they should have chosen a more plausible (or different) motive.

Namely, a crime of passion to punish her mother due to a lingering enraged behavior following the major argument (which included attempted choking) within close proximity of the intentional killing. It was perhaps easier to show that this act was the result of rage rather than planning, or premeditation, back in March '08.

Some have asked in recent days why the prosecutors did not make more of this horrific argument between mom and daughter? Well, with the benefit of hindsight I am now convinced this is a damn good point.

Well, I have felt for some time that it was a mistake to not pursue the motive of Casey killing Caylee as revenge on her mother.  There is much evidence that there was a huge fight.  I mentioned it in a post just this morning.  However, I feel the prosecution did a great job and who knows if it would have made a difference.  It was their call and they used their best judgement, which after all is a product of years of experience.  Maybe the biggest mistake was assuming that the jury had any brains at all.

Monkeys ... it's been wonderful to be here with you for the past few years (and especially today.)  There was a moment today when I wondered what happened to this world, has everyone gone crazy?

Then I came to the cage and was reminded that there are still many many wonderful, intelligent, loving and caring people in this world.  We monkeys are some of them.

I won't allow this one case to make me question humanity.  And I do believe karma always has her way.  Maybe this is her justice.  Maybe Casey would have had it too easy in prison for the rest of her life.  Maybe karma believes the Anthonys all deserve each other. 

I don't have the answer.  But I am truly happy I've met and interacted with so many great monkeys.

I'm behind because I needed a minute to stop crying but darnit this made me smile through my tears!! I so agree! I wish I could hug each and every one of you. Caylee is in peace and is our guardian angel! She's away from this craziness and away from any further pain that that mother put her through. God bless Caylee and God bless all of you! Why didn't the Prosecution bring in the big argument between casey and cindy on the 15th??? Was it because george, cindy, or lee would ever testify to it??

Because they would all deny it. Cindy denied it, so anyone else testifying that they were told there as a huge fight would be hearsay. Cindy is evil!

Cindy's ex-sister-in-law the other night on NG said Cindy's mother Shirley told her Cindy admitted there was a huge fight June 15th 2008, with Cindy choking KC.....but again it's hearsay. I thought she said Lee was witness to the fight, but I'm not positive. Lee did what mommy dearest told him to....deny, deny, deny, lie, lie, lie

The prosecution really had a hard case to prove here. And "most" of their witnesses were "liars". George Anthony could have been convicted more easily. The duct tape with George and all of the lies he has told hurt the prosecution. Cindy hurt the prosecution. Not calling Kronk-really hurt them...and having a counselor on the jury I think probably REALLY helped "ICA".  I can't imagine her trying to live on the outside. I wonder if she will move in with Baez?   If she and Cheney skip down the damn street-i swear I will jump off a bridge.

I think they didn't call Kronk because the way he says he came about the skull- the part about holding it up with the meter reader stick - didn't make sense. I questioned that the other day, wondering about the cops who said they found it half buried in muck.  Plus his actions with his son - talking about reward money, etc - did seem shady.  Plus, how does the state "pretty up" the bit about law enforcement not taking him seriously?  I think they didn't call Lee because if they would have asked him if he'd ever crept into Casey's room to peek at her, well, even if he did as a curious young boy, the defense would have completely turned that against him. And seeing as how he called out his mom's lies, THAT kind of testimony would have ruined anything else he had to say in the minds of the jurors. IMO

That is exactly why they knew they would win. IF the whole family didn't have issues..combined with all the other issues involving this case-they would have had their guilty verdict. It makes me so sick -knowing she will be free ---and could have another little one if she chooses.

I skipped way ahead.. I was on page 67 befroe I left for work this morning. I found out at work around 3:45 about the verdict..another gal there follows it and her husband called her at work to tell her.. she came and found me and we went into an office and both screamed bloody murder. I am sickened as everyone else by it all. NOW WHAT happens? I have so much catching up to do its not funny.
Oh and soooooooooo.. if the SLORE is innocent WHICH we know she isnt.. then who killed Caylee and dumped her body in a swap area AND are the police going to try and find out WHO the real murderer was then?  <gimme a break>
 I hope someone assinates her skank ass when shes left out.. she going home to mommy and daddy? Someone told me that she was not going back to hopespring drive but going to be whisked away somewhere else in hiding? Said they heard that on tv.
