Rudy Croes is the person with the concubines.  He is the one that Tylergal thinks is Dirty Hand.  what is Rudy Croes title on Aruba?  Klaas, you know this.  What is Oduber's title?  I would like to get those two straight for once.  I know it's my memory and not anyone else's.  TIA

i thought minister of justice.....i may be wrong Lalas Embarassed

Yes, I was thinking:

Oduber, Prine Minister
Rudy Croes, Minister of Justice

So, then I would say the Arawak King is Oduber.

This makes sense to me, since he was in power before the most recent election and still remains in power.

Could someone please explain to me what Croes does as Minister of Justice?  would he be over the ALE?  Does he have the final say in what ALE does? Anyone?

This was discussed back in 2005...I don't remember and just did a little search finding that his position handles permits, visas, etc.  I would think it would include all things within the 'law' category.

http://www.aruba.com/pages/government.htm
(snipped)
Aruba has its own constitution predicated on western democratic principles, with a Governor to form a 7-member Council of Ministers vested with executive powers and headed by a Prime Minister. Judicial powers lie with the Common Courts in Aruba in the Netherlands Antilles, and ultimately with the High Court of Justice in Holland.

http://www.arubachamber.com/establishing.htm

Establishing a Business in Aruba

(snipped)
The above mentioned Deed of Incorporation is filed with the Minister of Justice, together with a request for the Ministerial Declaration-of-No-Objection mentioned above.

The Company exists as a legal entity from the date it meets the following two constitutive requirements:

1 the Declaration-of-No-Objection has been granted by the Minister of Justice, and,
2 The Deed of Incorporation has been executed before the civil law notary. The Declaration-of-No-Objection together with the Deed of Incorporation must be published in the Official Gazette of Aruba. Furthermore, the managing director(s) of the company is (are) obliged to register the company in the Commercial Register, which is supervised by the Chamber of Commerce, and to deposit a true copy of the Deed of Incorporation there.

ROFLMBO     You are soooo bad, even if it's true.  Me likes!!!

Hi everyone!

Only have about 15 mins and have to take off. Busy day for me today.

I wanted to add to the Shango discussion from last night since it's still on...

What if we looked at the Arawak King as the King Pen over Aruba?

And isn't it said that Rudy Croes brother was the founder of Aruba? So he is looked upon as like Aruba's royalty?

Just a few thoughts tossed in with the others.
