Hi, Dolce.  Hope things are going well and the three of you are thriving.  Do you know what the zoning of the area is?  I would assume "Residential" of some kind, but don't really know.
You are right, it would be residential.  Florida laws are very strict on what can and can not be developed based on location and size of property parcels.  I am not sure of the exact dimensions of this plot, but even if the size was right, the zoning would not allow for anything considered commercial.  A daycare, even if charitable, would be considered commercial.  They base that mostly on the future assessment as well as the current assessment; meaning if the charitable organization where to shut down or just vacate the location, it is still a building that could not be inhabited as a residence, but only a commercial plot.  (Atleast this is what I have learned from all of our property purchases, buildings, and sales.)

Well, If LP does buy the property, why not make sure Caylee's death actually makes a change... I remember the monkeys talking about Caylee's house... What a better place for Caylees house to start..

Good morning my monkey friends!  It's is pouring the rain in south Florida.

Does any monkey know if the information has been released on where KC's cell phone pinged when she told LE that Zanny stole her?

Here is a pic of Caylee's 2nd birthday....the one that Casey stole the money from Grandma to buy the cake, etc..

WHO is the male??

Documents: Money Stolen To Buy Caylee's B-Day Cake
Posted: 9:46 am EDT March 20, 2009
Updated: 6:22 pm EDT March 20, 2009

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony bought Caylee's birthday cake with the stolen money and George Anthony took out a credit card out in his wife's name according to allegations made in documents made public Friday.

The hundreds of pages of documents not only shed new light on the case against Casey, but also the Anthony family

www.wftv.com
Good Morning.. I have no idea who the man in the pic is, maybe a relative? What I'm figuring is Casey stole grandma's check to buy something for herself, I'm sure Cindy paid for everything for the party.

My hubby and I were talking about Caylee's Mexican themed birthday party.  I bet every 2 year old wants a Mexican themed party!  Just forget about Mickey and Barney!  It appeared that KC only did what appealed to her.

O/T - this story came out yesterday...

http://blinkoncrime.com/2009/03/21/missing-la-toddler-found-dead-new-tot-mom-lied-to-police/

Mom Admits Dead Tot Not Kidnapped

LOS ANGELES (March 20) - A woman who reported her 18-month-old daughter missing now says the child died accidentally and that she dumped the body near a freeway, authorities said Friday.
Stacey Barker, 24, told detectives that when her daughter Emma Leigh died, she panicked and believed she would be blamed, Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht said.

((snipped))

NOTE:  when this mother first claimed her child was missing there was a press conference.  From the look on the face of LE I told my husband, this child is dead and the mom is lying.  That's is why I never posted her as a missing child in the MP forum.  Very sad.

Good Morning Fellow Monkies!  I just read the attached.  Another sad story about a baby girl.  The reason I'm posting it here is to point out that this mother is not putting her family, friends, le and others through H*** like Casey is.  Maybe this should be sent to Casey!  It's interesting how they say the police put the truth together from the mother's inconsistent statements!  What about Casey's outright lies?

Good Morning Monkeys !!!

It's a nice Sunny (but cold) Saturday up here in the north country....

Scarrlett....I'm sorry I missed you..

Searching...The Caylee house was in my signature line way back before I got redirected into the Elvis niche....I got it from a post over at David Lohr's blog site....

We will never be able to make a woman want her child. But we as a society could make a safe haven for those children in that situation. Let not one more child die from lack of wanting... We could call it the Caylee House.

It would be nice if a place like this was created in memory of little Caylee...it's possible that someone with enough resources, will make such a place....unfortunately, with all the abused children in the world..such a place is very much needed

Well...I think the Coffee's ready and I've got a million things to do today...maybe I can get one or two of them done

NorthernRose, the point I was tryin' to make in my post was that I heard mention of KC's grandma
talking about throttling.

And there was talk of Cindy Anthony trying to choke KC.

Next thing you know little Miss Caylee is dead--and that innocent not even 3 years old.

Someone should have broken the thread of maternal abuse.  I'm sorry, but again...I'd never put my very strong hands to my own daughter's throat as a threat or attempt to choke/throttle her.

I don't know what kind of "mothers" these woman were, but throttling (or threatening to throttle) ones own offspring is "out there"...but I'm thinking the maternal side of the late, lost Miss Caylee's family used it as a threat...and maybe literally.

Sorry, but I find such rhetoric/actions sick, abusive, and quite pathetic--and actionable.

And for shame for a mother to threaten or actually attempt to throttle their own young.

Foggy

Froggy - I just wanted to jump in and say that the kind of mothers who throttle or choke or put their hands around their children's necks are ones just like mine.  Capp said a few days ago that she had a brunette version of CA in her life - I did too.  They hold us to high standards and even if we meet the standards, it's still never good enough.  And when it's not good enough, sometimes we fear for our lives (only speaking for myself with that statement).  Although now, I have to say, mine has changed, and now we get along fine.  But this is no excuse for KC's actions, of course.  There are those of us who can break the chain - we're the strong ones.  Luckily, my sister and I both have done pretty well for ourselves considering any abuse and in an environment of drugs and alcohol.  There is hope!

But what I wonder, is that I've seen people break out of the chain, but is it possible that someone creates the chain?  I guess what I'm trying to say is, we know why KC is the way she is, but what about CA?  Is she that way because of how she grew up - or is she the creator of it, one who suffers from some mental illness which has no correlation on her own upbringing?  I mentioned this yesterday, and think it got lost in the shuffle - which happens!

Just wondering here and am interested in all of your views!

Most children have make believe friends....

It is sad that Caylee didn't seem to have any social life...that apparently, was a privilege reserved only for her mother.....biotch!

Leonard Padilla Wants To Turn Lot Into A Memorial
Lot Where Caylee Anthony's Remains Were Found Is Up For Sale-$89,000 Is The Asking Price
By Amy L. Edwards | Sentinel Staff Writer
March 21, 2009
<snipped>
So what would a bounty hunter do with a slice of Florida woods wedged into a residential neighborhood?
He wants it to be a memorial for Caylee.
"I'd let the people decide what they want put there," Padilla said.

Already, people have created and placed oversized signs and displays on the side of the road that spills into the woods. One large sign says "IN MEMORY OF CAYLEE." The signs are covered with hand-written notes left by visitors.

Neighbors aren't likely to applaud Padilla's idea to buy the land and turn it into a permanent memorial.
Attorney Karen Wonsetler, who represents the Chickasaw Oaks Phase Three Homeowners Association, said the community is "absolutely against" the bounty hunter's plans.
"If we have a shrine literally in the middle of our association, it's going to encourage unwanted traffic, unwanted attention," she said. "We do not want this."
Orange County officials say they have no plans to remove the memorial, which is on private property.
