I had a test about 9yrs or so ago where they needed to stick one of those gadgets way down my throat and look around. Was done under general anesthesia and one of the neater things that I remember was the little nurse doing an extra good job of covering my torso and arms up and tucking me quite tightly. Guess they didn't want me to be flailing around accidentally or something. Fortunately the test found nothing wrong.

Sure that wasn't a strait jacket they were fitting you for, Carnut?  Laughing J/K!

It definitely had a resemblence.

But there was such a warm reassurance in the process, never had anything quite like that in a medical situation before.
Ive had a few medical procedures done, and cannot remember  ever being that restrained, unless they did it after they knocked me out.

From a nurse who worked in surgery (and lots of other areas...), it is done when you are put to sleep.....your arms and legs are tucked just like Carnut said....this protects you....and helps cushion you....  Smile
Rarely will someone restrain you while you are awake....that is an uncomfortable feeling for most people.

Hi Mere and all the other monkeys! Been popping in and out this morning while I try to catch up on all the fun stuff around here.... laundry, dusting, cleaning yuuuuuckkkk!!!

oh my,JH,gets mentioned on SM.So Carnut how is the prostate and any hernias? For those guys who don't want to sleep outside, learn to melt chocalt(dark or white)in a fondue, double boiler with some strawberries and or apple slices for the bid day.It works better than some of my mistakes(electric broom, control top or edible garmits,or a paid membership to a weight loss proram.)Buy a maid or a cook for the day works. You can remove the razor from the groin dear.Yes,in my recent hospital adventures,I learned they probe areas not hurting, drain to much blood and ask stupid question,as well as importent ones.Every day is a blessing. If you really don't know what to give,a simple act of kindness goes along way, like help give food at a shelter/help someone in need. Most people are much closer to being homeless than they know.CAT

Morning/ or Afternoon, Monkeys!

That's better, obviously not a lady of the world.

Depends on which world you're referring to, Carnut!  Wink

I've never cared for Porn, and it's not exactly just a moral issue. I honestly think that eroticism is best created WITH someone and if your attention is directed to the inanimate, something's wrong.
AND I honestly had a conversation with my son about what to "expect" in real life, since I knew he had visited porn internet sites. All that moaning and shrieking could give a guy a complex if that's not the response he's illiciting!
Of course, I have an admitted bias, too. My ex started with porn, which led to internet prostitutes, which led to my home mortgage, etc. etc. Which led to me having severe homicidal tendancies!  Laughing

OMG! Carnut, you ran, huh?  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
Well, I guess the one to one restriction has some restrictions of their own as well. I'm NOT going to talk to my son about those!!!! Shocked  Laughing

Thanks for asking.  Incision is all healed up now.  I feel good, just trying to get some strength & stamina back.  I see the surgeon again at the end of the month, and I hope she releases me to get back to my old activities.

One time I had a patient in the ICU who had a stroke and was unconscious for several days.  I swear, this man could put John Holmes to shame.  The first thing he did when he regained conscious was to reach down and make sure his prize possession was still there.  I happened to be there at the time, mumbled some excuse, and went out the ICU door.  I was laughing so much I had tears in my eyes.

Hummm, not sure which it more notable, you checking him out, or you knowing who John Holmes was.

LOL.  I had to do a physical exam on him on admission, so was forced to look.  As far as JH, I didn't live in a vacuum.  There has been a movie made about his life story.  Rolling Eyes  Wink  Cool

Humm, guess I better hope all my ER docs are males, hate to have the lady doc chuckling too much after examining me.

Morning.  I'm of the opinion that the people of Mexico need to build up Mexico instead of coming to the US for work.  And, the employers who are hiring these illegals DO know who they are hiring.  I'm tired of the BS they give us about how the employees have the SS cards and the ID and they said they were legal.  It's BS when the worker cannot even speak a word of English and needs his cousin Pedro to translate simple directions.  Excuse me, but he is not legal, I don't care what kind of paperwork he has bought off the street!!  Check the databases, morons!  If all the illegals working so hard here in the US would go back to Mexico and do the same work there, the country would prosper and grow.  You wouldn't see the cardpaper shacks and tumble-down shanties if these illegals would go home and build their own homes!

Rant over.

Yes, but in 1993, we had an order from our president that anyone who could get a drivers' license here would be legal and could vote, etc.  That will never be turned around.  Unfortunately, that was our cue to work harder to keep our students educated, but that is not happening either.  Most of the kids in public schools are going there for babysitting, nothing more.  Their parents could care less about education.  This generation is reaping what their fathers and mothers have sewn.  It was far more important to be cool than be educated.

72 and breezy here today. Got my doors open again. I'm planning to cook something with onions in it for dinner so I can enjoy the experience of airing out the house.  Laughing

A WEB OF LIES

In the interview with Greta, she does an awful job questioning him, with all the inconsintency of his answers.

Joran: (speaking about Deepak) He just called me, sked me where I was, and I said I was at the Radisson.  And that's where he came to.

Joran: (speaking about receiving the call from Paulus)  ..we went out of the - out of the casino and stepped into his car there.  And that's exactly when I got a phone call from my Dad saying There's people in front of their houdr looking for their daughter,

Greta asks Joran why his Dad went to the Wyndham instead of the Radisson.

Joran: Because that's - that's where - I don't know.  i think that where we said we were b/c r=that's where the car was parked.

Greta asks if the Wyndham is next to the Radisson

Joran: Like thst'd where - that's when we were driving.  That's where the car was at the point when they called us.

After 9 month, the guy can't even keep his story straight.  And they said he had an IQ that was off the charts.  Maybe he inherited his bad memory from Paulus.  Off the chart, my patootie.  They probably took it off of his chart b/c they were embarassed by it being double digit.
