Sam, if we count it out:

June 16th, Caylee dies
June 17th, flies lay eggs on body
Lifecycle of egg to fly is 19 days
Maggots would be visible after day 4 (June 21) through maturity
June 30th, the day the car was towed is 14 days after death. You would see maggots.

The stage of the maggots is what is important. That would give an exact time frame based on the development stages. Unfortunately, we don't have that information.

Here is my biggest problem of the whole case.


Law enforcement has had to catch up to the family... as they

were terribly busy in between media cameos DESTROYING EVERY

PIECE OF EVIDENCE THAT COULD BE USED AGAINST CASEY.

I will say it again. Cindy & George Anthony need to be IN JAIL

at this moment. They have shown massive contempt for law enforcement!

I feel sorry about what happened to their granddaughter...

...but that still doesn't change the way they have acted

like criminals by obstructing every step of the investigation.

Just because you are in mental turmoil from what has happened,

does not absolve you from having to step up to the plate and do

the right thing.

Cindy and George Anthony... took things a step or two too far for my taste...

by physically acting out and destroying key pieces of evidence. imho That is

a big part of the reason we are where we are with this case today,

I know the police were entertaining the drowning theory..Does anyone know if Caylee's bathing suit(s) were taken? And I know my kids all have more than one. So I wonder if Cindy knows if any of Caylee's bathing suits are missing? Or has she washed any lately?

MsKub, the car was not picked up from the impound lot until July 15. The maggots were in it at that time. Cindy saw them.So is it not possible we should be counting back at least 18 days?

I also don't think the shovel was used to break into the shed for a couple reasons.
1) She'd leave marks on the shovel that the neighbor would identify
2) There would be marks on the Shed
3) She barrowed it on the 18 the gas isn't stolen until the 22-23.

What can you use a Shovel for?
1) Diging a hole
2) Prying up something (A weight to put on something to keep it in the water)

What can you use Gas for?
1) Burn something
2) Disguise something (change the smell of something, attempt to wash something off)
3) For a vechicle (car or boat)

Gas also distroys DNA

Gasoline absolutely does not destroy DNA.  I work with DNA, RNA, and other biochemicals.

Welcome to posting Strayze and thanks for the clarification.  I didn't think gasoline would destroy DNA but maybe the smell of gasoline might mask the odor of a decomposing body.

If Caylee died in the pool and Casey found her...maybe Casey has just totally flipped.  Maybe I should give her the benefit of the doubt here and think she's in a mental breakdown of some sort.  Her idea of reality doesn't exist in any dimension.  Maybe she can't tell them what happened because she doesn't have any reality. Heck! I am not making any sense.  Going back to my corner.

Basically, a dead body will have maggots in some form from day 2 thru day 19. You have to determine what stage the maggot is at to develop a timeline from that. All we can determine with the information we have, that maggots were found on the 30th is, the death occurred sometime with the 19 days prior or we wouldn't have maggots.

Given that we suspect she died on the 16th, that would place the lifecycle of the fly in the maggot stage and it makes the theory plausible.

my caylee is missing
She came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

A person who I thought was my friend stole money one night while I was sleeping and made up a story about how I got up in my sleep and put money away for the trip I was going on (I got back today, it was a great trip!). I bought that, she’s my friend, but after today I know it was her. I let her use my car while I was gone and my check book was in there. Account cleared out. Hopefully I’ll be able to get that back… but yeah… overall… about a grand. Which isn’t even the worst (for me it is…) apparently her kid has been missing for a month. She claims the nanny stole her and was too afraid to tell her mom. So, as bad as all this is, there is a little girl out there (hopefully) that I’m way worried about.
Anyway, how are you?

July 16 Police talk to Zenaida Gonzalez who says she does not know Casey Anthony. Police also take Casey to Universal Studios where she said she worked. After leading them to a building, she admitted she was no longer employed there

July 17 The Sheriff’s Office takes possession of the car and finds evidence of possible human decomposition.
July 17 The Sheriff’s office starts to search the backyard of the Anthony house.
July 17 Casey Anthony is officially charged with child neglect, lying to investigators and interfering with a criminal investigation. The judge denies bond because she showed a “woeful disregard for the welfare of her child”

Caylee! Always on my mind!
I miss Caylee……she is such an angel! What a cute video with the book!
Since the day Erika has been pregnant I often think about the times we will visit O-Town over the years and get to walk down the street to visit a place so familiar to me! A walk I have made thousands of times. A lifetime of memories to be shared with the next generation. I only wish there was something I could do from so far away to ensure this dream come true my next visit. I can only hope and pray all of this passes quickly and Casey comes to her senses! So we all can return back to our lives with some peace, knowing our next visit will be a joyous occasion as it should be!
I miss the whole fam! So, next time I see ya George, Cindy, Lee, Casey, and Caylee hugs r on me!

We don't know when the body was actually in the trunk. All we know is it wasn't in there on the 30th when it was towed, so that's the date I worked with.

It is possible the body was placed in there on the 29th and that would change the dates. That's why I said we really need to know what stage the maggots were at to determine a better timeline.

Another confusing factor is, if the body is under water, there won't be any maggots until it is removed to air. Burial in soil could slow the process down as well. There's just too many variables that we don't have the information on.

If Casey and Caylee left on June 16th....a normal day, each with 1 backpack....Casey would have to come home for clothes at some point for both of them. Her mother said she washed 3 duffel bags full of clothes she retrieved from Tony's.
June 24th....George says Casey stopped to change clothes (8 days after she left home)

I'm not buying George's story, but jmo.

IF, Casey did stop on the 24th, did she take 3 duffel bags of clothing?
Was she BUYING new clothes with Granny's money/credit cards?

WHEN did Casey pick up enough clothing to fill 3 duffel bags?

I think Casey more than likely was going back to Anthony's throughout the month, again, jmo.

I don't think whatever happened to Caylee was planned by Casey. Casey is a problem child whose parents and brother have always had to rescue from problems of her own making. She's a high school dropout, an unwed mother, a partier who shacks up with whomever. Someone like that never takes responsibility for their own actions, and they aren't very good planners. Life happens to them minute by minute, and whatever happens is never their fault.

There are a lot of scenarios that could have left little Caylee dead - shaken hard, smacked hard, left in a hot car, run over, accidental drowning, etc. Those are all things that can happen when a child is ignored/neglected. And a person who never wants to accept blame for their actions is certainly not going to fess up and say what really happened. My guess is that Casey isn't talking because she's still try to come up with a believable scenario that will remove the blame from her.

I agree with your description, BT.  I think she shut up because her attorney told her to.

This was the first time she was truly in charge of her daughter.  All the other times she lived with mom who was in charge.

I think Cindy is OCD. Really. Look at her house. Every photo I've seen, there isn't a thing out of place. I don't worry about dust bunnies too much now but, I certainly wouldn't have a house looking that neat (plus doing laundry and shopping for presents) if my grandchild was missing.

Maybe she put all the junk in another room and closed the door.

Regarding the maggots, I think all we have is Cindy's word that there were maggots.  I don't think it's mentioned in any of the police reports but I could be wrong.

I am under the impression that maggots do not breed  period. Maggots fill themselves with all they can eat before turning into more flys. It is the flys that breed laying the eggs that become maggots. As to moisture , yes a pizza does have enough moisture to feed maggots initially. JMHO

Dr Baden talked about the maggots about two weeks ago. He said they only lay eggs during the day. Not at nite. That's a big clue in my opinion. That means if Caylee was dead on 6-16 2008 and placed somewhere it would not be until at a minimum of the following day that the flies laid the eggs, and more likely on 6-18-2008 that the flies. If Caylee was dead in the afternoon on 6-16-2008 the day would almost be over and flies could not have laid eggs until the following morning.

I would guess that there could not have been flies laying eggs until 6-18-2008 in the trunk of the car.

If you just use those two days as a gauge - it would mean that Caylee was stashed somewhere for about 24-36-48 hours until the flies do what they do naturally.

Actually Caylee would have to have been stashed somewhere until at least after 6/24(IF she died in June before the 24th).....because George would have smelled the trunk right?Unless George helped Casey cover up the murder of Caylee.
