Darla,I have to keep my eyes open.This weekend the neighbor at the end of the street set the woods on fire and almost burned down all of us around her.Oh yeah,couple of fire trucks,extra water truck.I just got some snacks and me and the little Sidekick watched from the upstairs window.You should have seen everyone moving their boats and Sea Doos.   

OMG, hope everyone is okay 

Yep,everyone was o.k. It seems like it happens every year.
If the wind is blowing don't burn brush in the yard.  Duh!

LOL, we had an old man across the street from us and he would take his trash out in the back of his house in the middle of a broomstraw field and set it on fire at least once a week. It got to the point when we called 911 we just said send firetrucks to Arthur's house. They knew who it was . His house finally burned several years back.
I had to laugh about the binoculars...my landlord who lived next door to me always kept a pair by his chair. He would tell me to go get his clippers and trim the hedge out by the road so he could see better. lol

LOL....he told YOU to trim the hedges

Yep....he and his wife were up in their 80's and he owned all 6 houses on this side of the street. I was his handy man lol. I was the maid, their cook, painter, electrician and plumber, and gardener. And he died in my arms in 2005. His wife is now in a nursing home..she is in her mid nineties. I really miss them.

Oh my, how sad, they sound like great people.

We had a neighbor across the street and my oldest grandson and I would hit the porch swing on Saturday afternoon to watch the fights between this guy and his wife. He would come in drunk and they would get started. She threw a brick through a friends windshield, and he drug her out by the hair, then she would throw all his clothes outside. It was entertaining.

Hi Greeneyes......I too felt so sorry for the girl whose mother passed away. I don't know how she continued to skate. It is sad that she has no siblings. I would love to see her win the gold medal.

Some good news today .............

Casey Prosecutors Allowed To Keep Evidence Secret

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A judge in the case against Casey Anthony will allow prosecutors to keep possible new evidence a secret from the defense for at least the next 30 days.

Judge Stan Strickland signed an order Wednesday and said if prosecutors need to keep it sealed for more than a month, they have to tell him in writing why it's necessary.

Earlier this month WFTV found out new information had come to investigators that could be damaging to Casey, but just what the information was hasn't been released.
