Hello Monkeys.
Just a quick post to thank all of you who do not venture into the Monkey Lounge for your prayers, thoughts and candles which helped us both so much through the past few days.  A very sad and emotionally draining time.

I have been reading to catch up and see a slight glimmer of hope for some resolution in Natalee's case.  I hope they are committed to bringing this to a satisfactory conclusion and not just a "show" for the world.  Seems hard to imagine they would send so many investigators for just a charade.
Back to reading and lurking.

Update: The Minister of Justice H. Croes in a press conference today acknowledged the presence of the KLPD on the island on their last intent to try to solve the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

During the last 2 years the Aruban government have welcomed the help from all over the world and the ALE has been working with US authorities as well with the Netherlands. Contrary to what has been speculated, the Prosecutors wanted to close the case a long time ago, but on the government insistance in showing that everything possible was done, asked one more time via the KLPD's director Mr. van Zunderd, for their help.

As he had said previously when he asked for the intervention of the KLPD, this is not a sign of mistrust of the ALE, but wanted the KLPD to investigate the case from another perspective and with a fresh mind and show their interest in solving the case.

All the documentations and other evidences of the investigation has been sent to the Netherlands, but the investigation in Aruba continued meanwhile and now the Team is on the island for their final phase in their investigation.

That sounds almost like the last thing you posted by MF.  Not much difference...still beating that dead horse about everything possible being done.

I find it interresting that at FOB they aren't talking about JK2 they are talking about Jossy.  It's all about discrediting Jossy now.

Hi Patti.  I did have a good laugh this morning when I saw that avatar that cbb did for Mishy.  Not the one that Mishy is using now - the one she usually uses with the wagging butt, but dressed for 4 July.

Then Jossy must be right.  They only do that to those that are telling the truth.

It kinda sounds like Mr. Croes is trying to play it down:

We just want to show that we did all we could so Aruba
can maintain its' good name and reputation - while it looks
like the Dutch may be preparing to do a "sweep" that may
end up in the arrest of several of Aruba's law enforcement
agents.  

Talk is cheap... what did Mr. Croes do to aid in the search
for Natalee... Or was he too busy entertaining his concubines?

That's par for the course in Aruba.  Their method of defense is attack,
attack, attack.... and take no prisoners.
