I was wondering, can a family member actually receive a reward if there is any suspicion that they had information they were not divulging to LE? For instance, I think it probable they ALL knew something and kept the secret until Tommy told authorities the truth after he failed his poly. Is it possible that he told grandma to call LE and collect on the reward so it could be applied to his bail/defense team etc.
I would hate to think that anyone in the family could collect on this tragedy in any way.

The jailhouse calls were recorded, but we don't know what was really said in them, grandma could have embellished things said in the calls.

It was obvious who granny was lookin out for in her interview.......

Even if they did talk about the case, his attorney may be right that he didnt confess, Flora fibber may have said "Joe did it" and then Tommy responded but what she didnt do is solve this case as she embellished.  I will wait to until LE feels they can release the calls to see exactly what the dilly is, but one thing is for certain they are all lying.  ITA as previously posted that her concern is protecting Misty & she isnt worth the trouble.   We dont know if Joe is involved for certain or not, but if he is innocent God help this woman for lying for one forsaking the other(s), she'll be joining them in the devil's den.  The apple doesnt fall far from the tree couldnt be truer words spoken about these entire fudged up families on both sides of the aisle Croslin/Cummings (and no Im not apologizing for that statement, its the truth).

How many more family members are going to come out of the woodwork with knowlege that they did not turn over to PCSO?  I am PO.  Anyone who knew should be sentenced to some jail time.  Rotten dirty evil people to keep quiet on this for this long.  How dare them.  Makes me sick.

I have a bad feeling about how many knew this, and family loyalty. How someone can have family loyalty when there is a deceased child I would have no idea

FORUM NEWZ: Haleigh Cummings And The Good Side Of Heaven

I’m sure there is no bad side in Heaven, but my Grandmother used to tell me that all little children who died went to a special place in Heaven, which she called the ‘Good Side of Heaven’!!

Many posters remark this case has ‘changed’ them just as Indiana remarked in comments on this blog – I’ve heard that from many posters – that this case has changed them and it will be interesting to see how that change plays out in the forums and what reactions will be as this homicide case progresses.

ANYONE not involved in the happenings encompassing the disappearance of Haleigh who comes forward with credible tips that he/she has been holding onto for the past year has either grown a conscience or ... possesses a selfish motive ... a selfish motive referred to as a "reward".

However ... selfish motives should not be disregarded.  The reward system is all about LE gleaning information regarding a case from those who do not do right because it is right.

They should be able to collect......that is time in  jail or hampering an investigation...or could this be construed as aiding and abetting.........something...after the fact???????????????

Haleigh Update: Sheffield's Attorney Issues Press Release

The attorney for the mother of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, who has been missing since February 2009 when she was taken from her home and has been the subject of a massive search, issued a press release today.

Carol A. Caldwell issued the statement to the media via email Friday afternoon stating that Crystal Sheffield and her family are cooperating with the law enforcement investigation regarding Haleigh disappearance saying that Crystal is in regular contact with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Ms. Caldwell also stated in the release that Crystal and her family members do not wish to speak with the media or give any media interviews and asks that the media respect their wished for privacy at this time.

Hello Everyone!  I remember a conversation that Misty had a telephone conversation a couple weeks ago...sorry I can not remember with who...and she stated something along the lines of..."you know both of them.  One you care about and one you don't"...it seems to me that Misty was cooperating with LE then.  I believe she implicated Tommy (the one they care about) and Joe (the one the family could do without for whatever reason).  I do not think she implicated Ron because Ron is an outsider that the family believes brought all these problems on them...never mind that they can make their own decisions on what is right and wrong...drugs and murder.  Just some thoughts.

I don't think so but I could be wrong.  Shows like Today pay for the guest to be flown in but NG doesn't ever have people in her "studio".

Joe Overstreet’s grandmother, Ms. Flora Hollars from West Nashville, Tennessee was on both Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell and Nancy Grace last night. These HLN shows were especially sickening as all the possible death scenarios for Haleigh Cummings were gone over. A drug overdose was the best possible outcome, while being fed alive to the alligators was the worst.

The basic gist of both of these two shows was that all three characters were involved in the death of Haleigh Cummings, to one degree or another: Misty Croslin, Joe Overstreet, and Tommy Croslin. All three of these people have given different stories as to what had happened to Haleigh. One story on Jane Veliez-Mitchell had Misty hitting Haleigh in the head and Joe raping her. However, without any collaborating physical evidence, LE is going to have a very hard time figuring out who did what.
