Thank you Klaas.  Do you know if an arrest warrant for contempt can now be issued?

I jumped ahead  sorry
I heard early 4:30 am the Joran was doing a search on his laptop after he killed stephany he  was looking out to get out of this crime in Peru?

I hadn`t heard that... but it wouldn`t surprise me.

You know who taught him these things, right?

Has anyone one ever traced back disappearing females from
Paulus Van der sloot`s life? Just wondering.

In one of Joran`s recent confessions (of a bazillion, I know)

...but he says ME AND MY DAD BURIED HER. It`s the ME AND MY DAD part

I focus on.

Didn't they look up drug overdose on Pauls computer when he killed Natalee?

Joran a Popsie had a thing for over-sized tennis gear duffel bags.

> and walking by the Marriott

> and sporadic blackouts

Joran had to pontificate while eating his 4 biscuits
how he was going to fit Stephany in some luggage
to walk out of the building.

Lucky for us - He was finally on his own, without help.

And playing "go fetch" with said tennis bags as well....and at the oddest times, for no apparent reason.

Hiya carpe!

I found an appeal he represented in the US in the late 1990's but there were no details, just an online record of the date/case # for the appeal.

Appears he lives in Miami but is employed by the law firm of

Paulus did a search for drugs and alcohol.  And also for attorneys.

Like I have said many times, this Kalpoe / McGraw lawsuit was a enormous waste to CA judical time, but if I were on the Dr. Phil legal team, I would write a letter to the State Dept asking for the Kalpoe's to be expedited in their visa attempt. Then file that doc with California. It never hurts to have a doc asking for the plaintiff to show up. It shows that as the defendant you are competent in your case and have gone the extra mile when you sue for attorney fees and injury.

No I don't know

I suspect what will happen is Dr. Phil people will request the case be thrown out.  The judge may rule to throw out the case and order the Kalpoes to pay for the attorney fees and costs of the defense.  We have to wait and see.

Does anybody know if the press conference can be watched online?
I've searched but couldn't find anything.

Hi Jo-An.  I'm flipping channels.  Earlier, Jean Casarez was reporting on In Session.  I'm hoping it hasn't started yet & they will cover it live when it starts.

Hi cece, I'm in the Netherlands and in the town where I live I can't get any of the major US-networks (we only had CNN and they replaced that by some stupid French network last year). Sad
So that's why I'm looking for live online coverage.

Oh, so sorry Jo-An.

You would think someone there would be covering it.

I haven't seen anything yet about online coverage.

Investigator Points Finger At Aruban Government
Updated: Thursday, 10 Jun 2010, 9:39 AM EDT
Published : Thursday, 10 Jun 2010, 9:22 AM EDT

MYFOXNY.COM - A former detective turned private investigator told Good Day NY on Thursday that the FBI and the Aruban government set up an extortion sting of accused killer Joran van der Sloot in Aruba providing him with thousands of dollars.

The money came from the Alabama mother of one of van der Sloot's alleged victims, according to Bo Dietl. He adds that the Aruban government could have held Van der Sloot by charging him with extortion and wire fraud and prevented the murder of another woman in Peru.

The FBI says they did not have enough evidence to arrest Van der Sloot.

The 22-year-old later allegedly killed a woman in Peru. Officials say Van der Sloot admitted to  allegedly smashing her face and strangling her. Formal charges are expected to be filed on Thursday. Officials in Peru say the Aruban killed the woman because she found out about his involvement in the death of Alabama teen Natalee Halloway in 2005. The case remains unsolved.

Dietl, who was called by the attorney for the Halloway family in 2007 to work on the wrongful death lawsuit against the accused killer, told Good Day NY on Thursday that Van der Sloot contacted the lawyer in April.

"(John) Kelly was contacted by Van der Sloot who said my father died and I  want to tell you where the body of Natalee Halloway is buried," said Dietl.  John meets with me. I tell him this is an extortion set up. We contact the FBI office in Alabama. They tell him to tell me to back out,  we'll set it up. They get a warrant with the Aruba government. In a hotel room they give him $10,000 and they wire $15,000 in van der Sloot's name. In that room, he makes admissions he killed Natalee. He said she died, how he was involved with her death and how he got help burying her. The Aruban government did nothing for 180 days they could have held him but they didn't."

Dietl adds that the Aruban government should be taken to task for not holding Van der Sloot in custody after the extortion plot.

"Everyone is pointing fingers at the FBI. What about the Aruban government? He made incriminating statements there. Why didn't they lock him up? How many others did he kill? He is a homicidal maniac."

Yep! lol   Quality father and son time.

The only thing I ever shared with my dad, was a beer. It`s important to bond.

...but we never went `Van der sloot`... Those people are a bit much!

In Session is covering at 10 am.  Vinnie says in 15 minutes. I hope they do
the walk through at the hotel. It would have to match what he confessed
to. I thought that LE said that when he is talking in the room that no one
can prompt him at all. He is trying to blame her and that is so low. I would
think that the casino would tell the police that she had won money.
