Merry Christmas MRS. RED and RED! Thank you for the gift you give us every day!

I didn't mean to make anyone sad with my story!

WOW! I'm HUMBLED by it! I don't even remember slipping it in there years ago, but God knew at the moment I did it that He would give it back to me when I needed to see, feel, and touch both my family and His concern for me. He reached out to me bearing a gift created just for me, by God himself, and He did it in just the way He knew I'd understand!

I can't very well miss that I'm a King's Kid and Daddy's never got His eye far from me! I don't even have to try to use the limitations of words to try to explain things to Him..........He just knows my heart's murmurings!

He's that way with His kids, as I expect you guys know. Isn't God great??!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and THANK YOU GOD FOR THE GIFT TO US ALL OF GRACE AND RECONCILIATION THAT YOU BROUGHT INTO OUR WORLD AS A BABY. THAT'S THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Hey!  Did you guys see all my presents?  I have new muffs...yes, Angie, apparently Santa thinks I need them. He brought me the super duper kind that are impermeable to scissors and fire...so don't get any ideas Yapp and they are also the kind that spring back into shape should any body's bony rear sit on them while I am not looking.   Cool

I got a box full of pencils and paper...lots and lots of pencils all nice and sharp and just in case, Santa left me these special pens that write in ink that only I can see with my secret decoder ring...ha!  There is no stopping me now.   Laughing

Merry Christmas to all the monkeys!

Merry Christmas to all the monkeys.

Thank you to all our defence and peace-keeping forces throughout the world who are keeping us all safe, and to the emergency and care workers who give up their own family Christmas time to care for others.

I think John Lennon said it best :

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

Some Christmas humor

An Avon lady was alone in an elevator when suddenly she had to fart. She promptly reached into her bag and sprayed the air with an Avon Pine Scented deodorizer.

Two floors later,a gentleman got on the elevator. He began to sniff, and the Avon lady asked, "Do you smell something?"

"Well, yes I do," he replied. "What does it smell like?" she asked.

The bemused gentleman answered, "I'm not sure, but it kind of smells like someone sh*t under a Christmas tree".

Hey Monkeys,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and of course I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

I got a new Notebook computer from Hubby. I was sort of upset because I had said I did not want to learn anything new. I did not want to have to set it up or deal with son talking me through it but Hubby talked son into doing it for me. This was the first time son has ever done that for me. He has always made me do it myself. It took him all afternoon to set it up but would have taken me 2 weeks. LOL Oh also got a wireless mouse. Thank God because I know I would have found the touch screen thingy frustrating.

He also downloaded something called adblocker for Mozilla Firefox. No more popups. Yeah! This computer also has 1 gig of ram so I should not get the freeze up I was experiencing.

I continue to pray for all the monkeys and their families in need. I also pray for Natalee and her family.  Keep the faith folks.

You are indeed a lucky Monkey Mom. Sounds as though you received a wonderful gift from your family, the computer is great, but the time invested by your son to get the gift "up and running" speaks volumes. Merry Christmas Sam!

Merry Christmas to All Monkeys!!!!!

Monkeys sorry for interrupting the discussion

Can anyone recommend a good or decent Cancer hospital in New Jersey area?
A loved one has lymphoma (?sp) and after one chemo treatment she is in intensive care, vitals and labs are haywire.

Thank you and sorry to just jump in.

Sloan-Kettering in NYC is one that comes to mind as a top rated hospital..(Presbyterian & NY University may also be good, not sure).  I believe Hackensack (NJ) has a good cancer treatment reputation, but I'm sure there are others in NJ...I just don't know, right now.

I'm sorry to hear of your loved one's illness....where is she, now?

The National Cancer Institute can be a WEALTH of information, including specific success ratios of given hospitals for specific cancers/even Physicians nationwide. They will start out telling you that your Physician has information available by contacting them about your specific case, blah, blah, blah. Just convince them you aren't going to jump off the roof and they'll send you the "State Of The Art" protocols and then the information is in YOUR hands to be able to navigate the illness with your choices. They were extremely helpful when my Dad had cancer. I KNEW that for his type, MD Andersen in Texas had the best success rate going for a cancer that AVERAGED nationally a 5% success over 5 years. Their's was 17%. His oncologist convinced him that he could follow the same protocol here and enter him into experimental treatment, but I will always regret not trying harder to change his mind. There's GOOD information from the National Cancer Institute. Here's the phone Number:

Telephone
Talk with an information specialist from the NCI's Cancer Information Service, in English or Spanish, within the United States, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time.

NM  re:  cancer treatment - New Jersey

I have two friends who had family members successfully treated at Sloan Kettering (not sure of spelling), they both praised the treatment of not only their loved ones but how the family was treated with accomodations & support functions.

One person was my friends husband who had a rare cancer in his penis & the other was lung cancer.  Just in case this is geographically close enough, check it out.

Best wishes!
