Had the most wonderful afternoon yesterday with SunnyinTX, and ldstlou.  They are a hoot!!

Had the most wonderful afternoon yesterday with SunnyinTX, and ldstlou.  They are a hoot!! 

Good Morning to all!  what a fun afternoon we had!!  Snoopy shared her family photos wth us....very handsome husband and great looking kids.  We laughed sooooo much......Snoopy is pretty funny herself!!     WE three had met before but this time it was just the three of us and got time to catch up on our lives!!

Georgia Man Safe After iPod Catches Fire in Pocket

If you can’t stand the heat, get the iPod out of your pocket.

A Douglasville, Ga., man said he had flames coming up to his chest when his iPod Nano suddenly burst into flames while he was working, WSBTV.com reported Friday.


Danny Williams, who works at a kiosk at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, told WSBTV.com that he had the iPod and a glossy piece of paper in his pocket at the time. He said it was the piece of paper that saved him from being badly burned.

The iPod Nano uses a lithium ion battery, the same kind that has been recalled for spontaneously setting laptops on fire, WSBTV.com reported.

Williams is just glad he escaped suspicion for his enflamed pants.

“If TSA had come by and seen me smoking, they could have honestly thought I was a terrorist,” Williams told WSBTV.com.

Oddly enough, I never did notice mine slowing down when hacked, not even the time all the drivers disappeared.  The speed seemed to stay pretty much the same.

Dugga should be able to help far more than I can as I just have to consult a pro and not all of them know about hacking it seems.  Had to look for one who claimed he did.

Well there wasn't much to investigate as he was caught attempting to meet with the mother of the 5yr old girl.  He had attempted suicide last month but was stopped in time.  The way I look at it one less perv on the streets and no expense of a trial or imprisonment. 

I do feel bad for his family though.  I'm sure they had no idea he had this dark side.

Shell, a buddy of mine used to work for a company that would spend money on anything and everything - EXCEPT their computer networks. They had an old hand-me-down computer running their corporate file servers. They wouldn't invest in upgrading their software because "what we have works fine for us, even though it's old". Long story short, one day they came in and all of the computers throughout the building had new desktop wallpaper of hardcore porn, and the desktops were filled up with files named "HA HA HA YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED". Amazingly, after this happened, they hired a computer company to come in and clean up the mess, but they still wouldn't upgrade their software. They went to Best Buy and bought a $39 NAT firewall router which surprisingly kept them clean for several years after that.

Not that that story has anything to do with your situation... It just always comes to mind when people mention that they suspect they have been hacked.

As you might suspect, not everyone is as blatant about their break-in attempts as the people above were. You can go months without ever knowing you're infected.

There are a few good programs out there that I recommend for users who may visit risky sites, or feel that they may be targets for specific hack attacks. One of the best and most well respected programs is written by a company called Kaspersky. The Kaspersky Internet Security Suite is a great program, but it does require a great deal of patience. Kaspersky doesn't let ANYTHING through unless you specifically allow it, and it can really be cumbersome to get some web sites to work the way they're intended to, but once you get it set up and you get used to it, it's a very very secure program that will keep you well protected.

I was wondering if the police might be able to trace and track down any associates or previous attempts or encounters with children.  I don't think this was a first time thing for him.  Even though he is dead and will save us a ton of tax money and will never be a threat to children again, I wonder about his involvement other times, and who may have known about him.  I was thinking that sometimes when one rat comes out of the woodwork, there can be a trail back to more
