A flight attendant for American Airlines from Miami said that a sniffer dog was traveling from Miami to Aruba and the officer with the dog had said that the cadaver dog as going to search fr the remains of Natalee Holloway. The flight attendant who lives in Fort Lauderdale said, “They think they’ve found where Natalee Holloway’s remains are, and they’re taking the dog down to confirm that.
They’re not telling anybody because Aruba is trying to keep this quiet.”
Natalee Ann Holloway, born October 21, 1986 disappeared in Aruba during a high school graduation trip on May 30, 2005. She was supposed to fly home later on May 30 and her classmates had seen her for the last time outside Carlos’n'Charlie’s a restaurant and nightclub outside Orangestad in a car with locals Joran van der Sloot and Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. The three men had said later that they had dropped her off at her hotel and knew nothing more. Arrests followed and the Dutch government took up investigations after Aruba said that she was likely dead and that they had not found Holloway’s body. The American law enforcement was also closely involved with the investigations. No breakthrough has been achieved till date.
During the investigation, Police Commissioner Gerold Dompig revealed that there was “wild partying, a lot of drinking, lots of room switching every night. We know the Holiday Inn told them they weren’t welcome next year. Natalee, we know, she drank all day every day. We have statements she started every morning with cocktails—so much drinking that Natalee didn’t show up for breakfast two mornings.”

In Aruba it pays to be an untruthful.  Changing stories assures a witness/suspect his/her freedom.  I believe that justice will never be forthcoming out of Aruba.

Unless a witness/suspect who has an indepth knowledge of the happenings encompassing the morning of May 30, 2005 comes forward to the FBI ... agrees to a polygraph and ... reveals all ... I somehow suspect that the entire truth regarding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway will always be elusive.

However ... Tim Miller and Kyle Kingman have the ability to provide some real closure to Natalee's family.  These two men ... who continue to stand behind the claim of justice for Natalee ... observed the happenings encompassing the trap/cage.  The truth must be exposed ... pressure must be put on Aruba to return Natalee to her loved ones ... to her  home ... to her country ...

Holloway suspect makes new confession

Joran van der Sloot, main suspect in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway on the Caribbean island of Aruba in May 2005, has made a second confession, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

The paper says the statement was made in front of tv cameras from German broadcaster RTL and that a second interview is planned for Frankfurt this week.

Van der Sloot's father died earlier this month and the youth is thought to be in the Netherlands. Last week he attended his father's funeral.

In the new interview, Van der Sloot apparently says Holloway's body was hidden in marshes on the island. Earlier, he told an undercover reporter her body was dumped at sea.

A spokesman for the Aruban justice department said new inquiries had been made on the basis of the latest confession but that 'it soon became clear this statement is a mixture of lies and fantasy'.

If Joran had wanted to tell the truth, he would have named the exact spot, the spokesman said.

Here's one question I have.

Unless my memory is failing me (which is entirely possible, LOL), the word "Salina" came up way early on in 2005.  At many boards, IIRC, it was thought that Salina was the name of a specific pond?  Only later to learn that "Salina" actually means "pond"?

Similar south of the hotel zone of Aruba is the bird Bubali, an approximately 50 hectare wetland consisting of ponds and fields rushes. Besides bird has this feature as a swamp helofytenfilter thus partially treated wastewater from the high-rise hotels before it flows into the sea. Bubali standing a stone's throw from the RUI hotel.
