JSM  I know it is silly of me to tell you to calm down, but the vet will look at him and it will be alright. Talk to me I will try to help, I've been there so many times with Zoe and feeling so sick inside with fear.

You are so kind No Rose. All you monkeys are for worrying about Josef and me. This time something seems seriously wrong, he usually just throws up a little then is fine and goes back to his normal self. I just took my xanax because I don't want to cry at work.

She just called and they are doing a stool sample, an x-ray of his belly and blood work. He may have to stay in the hospital overnight.

  I am sorry you are so upset.Please don't cry.

JSM I've had this kind of thing wrong with my various dogs many times.  Usually there is also some blood in their stool which freaks me out.  It has always turned out to be an intestinal infection which is quickly cured with an antibiotic shot and either pills or a pink liquid medicine.  That's probably the case with Joe.  I know you can't help worrying, but I have been really upset about it too and usually we expect the worst, but the worst never arrives. This will be the case with Joe I'm betting.

That makes a lot of sense, I'll bet you are right, some kind of intestinal infection.

I think it is the drug also JSM. Like right now Zoe is sleeping on my daughter's bed, her favorite place in the world  and I'm on the computer, the garbage men are coming she can hear the truck, and she is already starting to panic. She will now be upset for about an hour after  I feel so bad for her she freaks out with so many things, and there is just nothing I can do for her. I talk to her to calm her down but that is all I can do, no wonder she has irritable bowe 

Poor Zoe, I am glad Josef doesn't get the panic except during storms. I hope she calms down and doesnt get sick. 

She fell back to sleep. She had been terribly abused before we got her, she has never lost some of that which makes me very sad. After all these years she sometimes still flinches when I pet her 

Bless her heart. How can people mistreat a poor animal. She is lucky to have you as a mom.

I have no idea how people can mistreat an animal, and whoever did that all to her, I would like to have a few minutes with that person. When we got her from the shelter they had named her Sally, but Sally didn't seem to fit her.

I would like to have a minute with the people that had her as well. She doesn't look like a Sally.

Thanks Baby, that makes me feel better. I hope it is an infection. He hasn't eaten anything that would make him sick (like trash or cat poop). It just makes me nervous his real vet isn't there, but at least this vet that is looking at him today knows Josef well.

He is staying overnight so he can have an IV, more agressive anitbitotics and other stuff that I can't remember. One thing I do remember is the cost. It looks like it will be between 1,000 to 1,200 dollars. OUCH! Visiting hours are between one and four, so I am going to get off work early so I can go see him.

   I got kicked out of the cage twice in the past 30 minutes.
JSM,I hope you can get off work early and check  up on Josef.   

Da++ workman's comp sent a letter and said hubby has to get his prescription in Gadsden from now on,and FedEx will deliver it.     He only has enough meds to last until Tuesday.Had to call his Dr. and they are gonna clean the caseworker's clock.He takes Lyrica and you can't just stock taking it. They will try to get a rush put on it.

Never a dull moment, sure wish there was a dull moment. Why in the world would he have to get a prescription in another town, that doesn't even make sense  I hope he gets his meds on time  I'm waiting for my doctor to call back with authorization for the foot doctor, I'm going to keep calling until I get it. I hope he is more effective then the stupid hand doctor and his whacky splint

WASHINGTON: The resignation of White House press secretary Scott McClellan Wednesday morning has left DC observers wondering how and if the Bush administration will move to bolster its communications program.

McClellan's announcement has been widely anticipated since new chief of staff Joshua Bolten's first staff meeting on Monday, when he said that there would be internal changes forthcoming.

Baby bear was right. I am so glad. I just hope he gets well soon. I hate seeing him this way. Even the vet could tell by his eyes that he was bad sick.

You didn't know that he had that, don't feel bad. They will fix him up and he will be back to his old self  It's a shame, a lot of people can't afford care for their pets, and children for that matter.
