Hey Monkeys, I have been having a bad day today. I lost my grandmother year ago. I don't know if it is Caylee being found or my sadness of not going to my grandmother's funeral that has put me in a funk. I had to go to London for a Led Zepplin concert when my Grandma passed, so that is pretty crappy on my end and I am feeling really gulity today because I didn't go to her funeral.  ::MonkeyWaa::

I HOPE and PRAY Casey feels 1 million times the guilt because she doesn't go to Caylee's funeral.

I hope this isn't too off topic, but I have been crying all day.

I think it is a good possibility that Caylee told CA something. She could remember the words to the song. I know that kids will tell everything they know . It is also telling that Caylee never mentioned Zani or told about her day.

While pro bono attorneys aren't being paid by the parties to a suit, that doesn't mean they're not getting paid. Some or all of their fees may be underwritten by interested third parties. Also, attorneys who are associates of large law firms generally still draw their salary when they do pro bono work. Finally, an attorney may agree to take on a case pro bono for the publicity.  I Couldn't tell you for sure, but they are the ones who said they won't reveal who is paying them. 

oooppssss I got locked outta the last cage...cooking cookies and they needed attention!  AS far as sympathy....WHY?  these people have known Caylee was deceased as long, if not longer, than we have. When the results of the hair in the trunk with the death band, coupled with all the other indication...THEY KNEW!! Had they not coddled Caset in jail and at home...had they gotten tough, had they not carried on with her lies...had they told her THEY KNEW...perhaps, just perhaps she might have admitted it or at least got mad and said something that would have led to recovering Caylee's body. I blame them, in part, for Caylee laying in the field for all those months.

This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

In Sin-dy's interviews with LE and the FBI  she goes into details day by day her communication with Casey and she never suspected anything was wrong, if this is true why post this message on my space? ::MonkeyNoNo:: ::MonkeyShocked::

I am so sorry for your loss.  You are such a kind and thoughtful person.  Hope I can help ease a little of your sadness.  

When my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer I made sure to tell all her friends and relatives that if they had any plans to send flowers or come to her funeral that I was sure that she would appreciate it more if they did it before she died.  Have never regretted feeling that way and yes she did enjoy the flowers and visits while she could.  God Bless You.

Maybe some of our legal eagles could help me understand this. 

Baez keeps saying that we only know half of the story and it will all come out at the trial.  His list of witnesses is very small and seems to be limited to dna/forensic experts.  Unless he plans on putting Casey on the stand, how will the rest of the story be brought out? 

It is my understanding that in cross examining State witnesses, he can only cross on what has previously been testified too, in other words, cannot bring out any new info/theory.  Can someone clarify this for me?  Thanks

I made it to the new cage in one easy swoop! I am getting pretty good at this! I don't see the jail letting KC go to the funeral if for no other reason, the security risk. There has to be a number of people who would like to see some vigilante justice done and that won't bode well for anyone else at the funeral. In spite of the big media blitz by the Anthony's, I can understand them wanting the funeral to be private. They are, without a doubt, the most hated family in America and every move they make will be scrutinized, analyzed to death and really, it should be about Caylee. Will they find a way to capitalize on this, without a doubt, but still, the funeral should be private.

Your grandma knew you loved her, I am very familiar with guilty feelings over many things, everybody has guilt over something. Go take Joe for a walk, and clear your head, you might feel better. :smt056

Hi Joesmas!  I am so sorry to hear that you are hurting today.  It will be better as time goes on.  My sister passed away a few years ago. She passed away in the nursing home after I told her son (my nephew) to take some rest and go home for the night.  My sister died all alone and I felt terrible guilt from that.  From time to time I still really miss my sister but it does get better over time.  The first anniversary and the first year is always the worst.  Take care of yourself and take it easy on yourself.  Since you love your dog so much, it might help also if you do something special for him as soon as you feel able to do so.  Monkey Hugs!

It is really hard to turn down happiness for something that is morbid and downright depressing.  If you have a tendency to depression it could be a subconcious resistance to more pain.    I'm sure Grandma would love and forgive you, so do the same for her, forgive yourself.   It's what you shared in life that counts. 

If these truly are Cindy's words she was well aware of Caylee being "Gone"..Very telling!

I feel badly for you, too.   It's so hard to lose someone you love.   I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry you're having a bad day Joesamas.You know there are times we experience loss and then later we think maybe we should have done or said things differently.But in the end it is how you feel inside...you know the love you felt for your Grandma can't be measured in the moment or hours of a service. I believe with all my heart your Grandma knows you loved her.I have to believe that.She wouldn't want you to feel so bad.
 I think Caylee has brought alot of emotions to the surface with alot of us.It's o.k. We are human,and it's o.k to cry.I think it is good to cry sometimes. I don't know if what I'm saying helps but I would just give you a big old hug if I could.  ::MonkeyCool::
 

I so agree!  Never did we hear them ask her "Casey, I need the truth, I need to know!"  They just helped Casey perpetuate her lies.  Actually, I think Casey told them exactly what they wanted to hear.  In a way, I think Casey continued her lies to appease Cindy.

I still have to wonder how different, if any,  it was when she got home after her first bail was posted. 

Notice the A's DO NOT thank all the people who brought notes, praters, memorials for Caylee!!  It is about THEM not Caylee

I love the Christmas season and all that it encompasses but ... Christmas' past do come to mind and make me weepy.  I would do anything to be able to turn back the hands of time and ... have my grandparents ... my parents and ... my hubby's parents to again be a part of my life ... to be a part of the celebrations.

However ... the first birthday ... the first Easter ... the first Thanksgiving and ... the first Christmas since losing a loved one is the most difficult.

joesamas mama ... have a good cry ... released all those pent up emotions.  It is also very important not to allow yourself to be too caught up in the all the trappings of the season ... dwell on the important tasks ... above all   remember THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

Also ... eating properly and ... getting plenty of sleep will allow you now to get too overwhelmed.

I like your theory as to why she left the car at Amscot on that day.  

But I still think she meant to go back and get it before it was towed in order to keep with the "story" that the kidnappers stole it.  Maybe to drive it into the water or whatever Cindy said she would have done with it.

Also, earlier today I had posted a link to a site that I had run across that I am convinced is an explanation of the thinking and acting out of this family.  Please read it and let me know your ideas.  I really respect your take on things.  Thanks, Bev

Thanks so much. I helped get the priest for the funeral, but usually we have Christmas eve at her house so instead spent today with my family. I just really felt sad. So I really hope that Casey feels the same sadness I feel today, but I hope she feels it 24/7 365 days a year. WHEW that made me feel a LOT better. Thanks

A Christmas program at the home church of my daughter, SIL and four grandkids (5-10) is where it is at.  All four muchkins will have a part as well as SIL.

Papa and Mama are springing for a Japanese dinner prior to the program.

Anyways ... a 45 minute drive to the Eastern Fraser Valley is ahead of us.  Snow and freezing temperatures abound but ... the freeway is kept clear and salted.  Everything should be find.

MT  I think you are 100% correct.  I think Cindy has perpetuated Casey's lies for a long time.  Some mom's don't want to believe their kids can do any wrong, they think it reflects on them.  I think when Casey lied to her mom and blamed others for her behavior Cindy jumped on it like white on rice, and ran with it.  Since childhood.  JMO

What is this free lance producer in charge of ? I hope that this isn't for a memorial service. The public down there should just not have anything to do with anything the ANT family conjures up for Caylee's service. IF they need to have a producer, then it is for schlock and fake tears and fake crying. Glad the public drove the guy off. I saw a sound bite on CNN at the memorial. People are crying and expressing heartfelt emotions in notes and cards. The sympathy is for Caylee, not the ANT family. For a child that isn't going to grow up. The child was just an ordinary child full of life.

Thanks Monkeys for listening to my sadness. I'm going to see if I can find (oh Gosh) Lawrence Welk/HeeHaw on youtube. That is what my grandma and I watched when I was a kid. That will make her smile more than Led Zepplin.

I do agree with you that KC may have wanted to return to pick up the car after taking TL to the airport and getting gas can from Amy. Add to that maybe dumping the car in a lake after gassing up.

I skimmed over the imaginary world article and don't really feel it applies to the Adams family. Notice I said feel. I rely on feelings as much as possible. My belief is that the entire family is afflicted. Pure evil, in that evil is the absence of love as defined in a great book,"The Road Less Traveled". A second book by the same author is "People of The Lie" and that best describes this family in my eyes. There is no truth in them. Do they live in an imaginary world, maybe, an alternate reality, most likely we could never understand their thinking. Call them soulless, antisocial, amoral,,,,,that's them. 

It's -29c. here...That is VERY cold and yet warmer than it was last week. It is making me a little cranky. I do not like the cold!!! The A's have a producer? What for? Isn't it extremely inappropriate that he would rear his head now?  I am trying to get my head around this family. They sure don't make it easy! Someone mentioned earlier, that in one of their public statements they should have thanked the searchers and the public for their concern and support. If they are to socially inept to do so, surely their lawyer should have thought of that! These people make me very, very tired. Or is it the weather?

Yeah I do know how much they mean... the monkeys made me feel better when my Dad had a heart attack last week and everyone was giving me hugs and comfort. When you are sitting alone and your heart is in a world of hurt, these guys are the best!! Hugs and kisses to all monkeys!

The fact that a baby was murdered will make it next to impossible to get reasonable doubt with a jury. The emotions run to high and adults feel that some one must pay.

A jury is less likely to find reasonable doubt with a child murder than an adult one.

Throw out the forensics and dream team BS ... a 2 year old child was killed.

There were some tense moments on Saturday at the memorial for Caylee at the crime scene that's filled with stuffed animals.

People became furious after a freelance producer said he was going to remove all the toys and gifts from the scene.

"This is so wrong and we will not let you take it," said a person at the memorial.

Skip Davis said he would take the toys to a home for underprivileged children in Orlando. He said the Anthony family asked him to do it.

Even though Davis said he would take the gifts, after the altercation with the crowd of onlookers, he left without taking anything.

However, in a press conference on Sunday, police notified citizens that they will, in fact, be removing the toys from the site.

They said they've been instructed by the Anthonys to take the toys and stuff animals at the memorial to the Orlando Rescue Mission.

The family said Caylee would've wanted needy children to have those toys at Christmas.

Police said they'd leave the pictures and crosses left at the memorial, and only take the toys.

They said they'd be leaving the toys there for several more hours on Sunday so that anyone who wanted to could come by and pick up their donations.

After seeing the public outcry over removing the memorial, that appalling family is still going to tear it down.  It shows how different from the rest of humanity they really are.
What I don't understand is why LE seems to believe that memorial is theirs to do with as they wish. It is for Caylee, not her unloving family!!!

He also said the depositions scheduled for Monday in the Zenaida Gonzalez lawsuit have been cancelled. Conway asked Gonzalez’s attorney John Morgan to reschedule in light of Friday’s news and the request was accepted.

Conway says there are no specific plans for Caylee’s funeral service yet but the family says it will be private and kept secret as best as possible. Conway says they are still waiting for remains to be released.

Conway said George and Cindy will speak to the media after Caylee's funeral service.

Baez on Geraldo

Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez appeared on Geraldo Rivera’s show Saturday night.  Baez admits Casey has a history of lying but that doesn't mean she killed her daughter.

“We have to rely on the science and the actual evidence and if the evidence is there she will be convicted if it's not she should be acquitted it's that simple you start looking at trying to convict people liars as killers we're all in trouble.”

The only question I have is this... the original forensics report on the air samples from the trunk of the car indicated that it was early decomposition, around 2.6 days.  I read somewhere that the fluids themselves can continue to get smellier and smellier.  This is all so confusing to me, but here is what I think at this moment (always changes).

June 16th:  Caylee dies somehow, and Casey puts her in her trunk.
June 18th:  Casey realizes that the body is leaking fluids in her trunk, so she tries to bury her in the yard.  That proves to be too difficult with all the bamboo shoots, so she wraps her mouth and nose with duct tape to stop leaking fluids, puts her back in the trunk, then callously dumps the body where it was found.   ::MonkeyNoNo::
June 27th:  The smell of the fluids becomes unbearable, so she dumps the car.

My theory does not explain why GA wouldn't have noticed the smell when he retrieved the gas cans from Casey.  However, he has been known to "forget" some details (like the last day he saw his granddaughter).

What do you guys think??

Yes, that is the only good thing that could come of that but I'm hoping she never sees the light of day outside of prison again.

I've seen many posters here say things like she will have a life of hell in prison with the other prisoners. I highly doubt this to be the case. She will NEVER see general population as long as she lives IMO. The role of the prison system is also to protect the prisoners. As long as there is still a chance that harm could come to her, she will never be out of protective custody. The only reason that Dahmer was in the general population was because he had not been receiving threats against his life either from prisoners or from the public in quite some time. The officials felt that the hatred for him had dwindled. Little did they know. IIRC, Dahmer was not the only prisoner to have taken a beating that day by the same individual and it had been stated that it had nothing to do with who he was. Just the wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing. Casey will remain protected for her entire prison stay and continue to enjoy her commissary purchases. Again, JMO

Oh yes N2...I brought up the POTL a while back and it fits them to a T.  Please keep thinking about that article though...as I am convinced Cindy and Casey both do it...have that "talent".  If you think about some things. it makes the "puzzle" come together and make sense.  I am to the point that Cindy knew poor Caylee was dead on the 15th.  And if you allow that thought to go with their storyline...it fits.  BTW...after reading that article and reading the comments, it took me about 2 days to really wrap my mind around the idea that this could even be possible.  If this theory is correct I think Cindy will be arrested soon...and not only for obstruction.  And if you look at LE and what they are doing with all the searches at the house and such, I think they would be a little more considerate unless their target was in that house right now because they know it would cause a lot of public criticism.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- The attorney representing Caylee's grandparents Cindy and George Anthony said Sunday that the items removed from their home Saturday by Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies belonged to Caylee and Casey .

Brad Conway says some of the items taken during Saturday’s search warrant were Caylee and Casey's clothes and shoes but nothing of George or Cindy’s was taken. “This time around they took items of clothing they took some shoes and a few other items I don't want to address right now."

Conway says George and Cindy were not upset about warrant being served day after announcement.

Conway says there are no specific plans for Caylee’s funeral service yet but the family says it will be private and kept secret as best as possible. Conway says they are still waiting for remains to be released.

Conway said George and Cindy will speak to the media after Caylee's funeral service.

Tim is saying that back in August, when the meter reader first called, LE was busy following up on every "live" call and running all over the place.  They hadn't gotten back the forensic evidence from the trunk of the car yet at that time.

Why Do the Anthony's always say Caylee was 3 years Old??????? She never had the chance to be 3!!!!! Thanks to that whole crazy family. I don't know why that bothers me so bad but it REALLY, REALLY DOES!!!!!

Wendy made a good point.  There are tests that can be done very quickly in the field on hair to see if any drugs came into play.  They had something that allowed them to get yet ANOTHER search warrant on the Anthony home immediately.

There was speculation that perhaps Caylee had been drugged while Casey was "performing". At one point didn't the rumor mill say that there were pics that showed Caylee sleeping in places (empty apartments) where Casey may have been "acting?" or was that all speculation?

I am sorry to say I am no fan of Wendy Murphy!  Yes, she says what's on her mind - and I admire that but her opinions on certain things are just wrong, IMO.  I hate when she talks about the Ramseys.  I followed that case, and no one will ever convince me that they played a role in the killing of Jon Benet!!

I think it may have to do with what one has been exposed to in life.  What I have experienced has made me a skeptical person and very suspicious of the honorable intentions of some.  But I will keep an open mind.

Good show Dana.  How I hope Wendy is wrong in her thinking about Caylee.  That would end it for KC and her parents.  I know these things occur more often than not but it is so sick that most people (including me) does not want to go there.

I am still picking through Baden's book, He worships Henry Lee too much. But he is very

The number of pedophiles out there is pretty astronomical.  There are rings of them that encompass every profession and class.  The question of where Casey was on all her phone pings late at night and where she had Caylee during her so called work hours remains unanswered.  Her search engines tell another mysterious variety of events, and if she could dump her child in a garbage bag, and steal from her best friends and family, I put little past her!!!  Not to mention her letting Caylee sleep in bed with her and Ricardo (don't think that was right either).  JMO

My daughter is one and it's not uncommon for me to bathe her more than once a day. Toddlers are a messy little species lol. They eat messily, they play messily, and they poop messily ::MonkeyLaugh:: From what I recall, Caylee wasn't completely potty trained yet and if I were home, I'd probably through my child in the tub after an accident in her pants.

That was me FOM..If you read the comments below that article, it appears to be quite common and most started as teens.

A couple of them admitted that they had trouble keeping the created worlds from the real ones.  My opinion is that Cindy was the master of it and Casey did it also. It appears from their conversations that we got to hear how they feed it into one another.  

In jail Casey tells Cindy the key points ..and then looks to her to spin the story from there.  When Cindy gets hung up on certain things it seems that she throws it to Casey and vice versa.

George tells the FBI agent that OCSD told him therre were over 1200 (irc) on the home computer, and he says something to indicate that they were not "nice" and that Cindy would be crushed if she new.

I think the 1,000 photos Casey deleted from her the internet per Jesse are different than the ones GA is talking about.

I am one of them...we had a 12 yr old sexually assaulted and murdered up here not too long ago, by her uncle... I can't even go there

I think he has learned to play along with the "story".  If you see, he always checks with Cindy to see what the story is to see if he is on track today.  Remember when he said that he was going to start keeping a notebook so he could keep track?
That was a real givaway.

Now his motive?  Cindy is his free ride..George hasn't really worked in years.  When he got his Worker's Comp settlement, he left her till it ran out...then he moved back.

Here is the link where GA talks about the photos. He said Detective Allen and Melich told him there were 1200 provocative photos of Casey. He says he doesn't know if they were on the laptop the tower or on her my space.  He says he is keeping that information from Cindy and Lee.

My time, I just thought it was getting confusing the 200 and the 1200 photos, so I was trying to clarify. Also, GA says the provocative photos were of Casey. I don't think they would have told him about them if they were of Caylee. JMO, but that would have been damaging evidence as to the child neglect/abuse charges, so I don't think they would have told him.

That's very understandable SS, and a feeling I am sure is shared by many.  Our brains are incredible, protecting us from what we aren't ready to (or cannot) handle.  I have personal experience with someone who, way younger than 2 yrs, had things happening in her life that makes the sex/pics/drugs pale in comparison.  She would have preferred death than living thru what she did as a baby and young child.  Sigh. 

Sometimes I look around at our world and am so jaded, so cynical, so sad in realizing just how depraved and evil *some* people really can be.  To be honest, it scares me for future generations, my own grandson incl.  Seems at times this world has gone to hell in a handbasket.  I just want to grab my grandson and run.. don't know where!.. to protect him from all that.  We can't protect them from everything without putting them in bubblewrap.  Yet when I see folks such as Casey, C&G, I have to wonder why it seems they didn't even try??   ::MonkeyEek::

Well, Cindy did point out, without any prompting, that Caylee had bruises but that she could account for all of them--that made me suspicious. She also said she bathed Caylee twice a day and sometimes more, which with little kids who aren't potty trained isn't that odd or unusual.

I have strongly suspected that the xanax and the chloroform would have made it pretty easy to pimp Caylee out--without Caylee knowing it, or having to remember it at all. But that could just be my paranoid mind. I know if I found out someone was pimping out my grandbaby I'd be ready to choke her, but the money might have been enough to provoke that kind of rage all by itself.

Yes this was the 8th in the interview, I didn't go back to listen why he was talking about that. Sometimes it just gets fuzzy what was said, and I write what I remember, and then think, I should go back and listen to it again, so that I can keep it straight in my feeble little brain.   

I never thought GA when he was without Spindy was going for Zani, he did seem to try to throw Jesse under the bus, but my overall impression after listening to all of these the first time was that he had a pretty strong suspicion it was Casey. In public, and especially with Spindy around he mostly was quiet, and towed the party line if you will.

I read with interest the discussion on living life with seperate realities.  It's a really deep process to understand, hard to explain, certainly can't explain it fully in a forum such as this. 

Basically tho, what happens is that a person can actually live with two or more realities.  One reality is what actually occurred in their life.  A second reality is what the person *would like* their life to be like.  A third reality is their current day to day life, which they've managed to fashion for themselves.  Sometimes working on a fourth reality because they aren't happy with their current reality, perhaps blending some of their second reality in. 

A person doing this isn't necessarily 'delusional' or 'psychotic', even if they may act like it at times.  They may pick and choose which reality they are living at the moment.  Living with a person like this can be a nightmare, on the other hand, some have it so under control hardly anyone notices. 

Problems begin for this person when their realities collide.  I think this is, in part, what has happened with Casey and Cindy.  (Both of whom seem to live their own seperate realities, as well as having at least one in common).  I believe that at least a few of their seperate realities have been on a collision course for quite some time, and when they crashed, Caylee was the casualty.   ::MonkeyWaa::

I don't know that any of this makes sense to anyone else.  Could just be one of my current realities.   ::MonkeyWink::

I'm sorry about your grandmother. Sounds like that was a long time ago, but you're a good person and you still feel guilty. Casey isn't capable of feeling guilt. If she were, she would have confessed to the murder long long ago. for that matter, she probably would not have committed the murder.

I was getting a manicure, Dolce called me and told me that it was Caylee.  She sounded like she was crying, I did too.  Everyone in there wanted to know what happend.  I just keep thinking of all the reasons she could have killed her.  A reason that would satisfy her mind into thinking it was the right thing.  And there is no answer to that.  There is no reason to kill a two year old baby. 

On the day it was announced the remains were found ..yes. The day they were confirmed I felt relieved on many levels.

Casey would not have told the truth just because Cindy "needed to know." She wasn't just appeasing Cindy with her lies, she was controlling her. Sociopaths don't care if their parents get angry. They don't care if their parents are hurting or crying. They don't care what others want or need, including living and breathing.

It is all but impossible to discipline such a child, because they feel no guilt, no remorse, and never feel responsible for anything, and so anything you do to them, is nothing but a reason for them to get even with you. Casey would not have told her parents anything unless it suited her purpose to do so. There really is nothing they could have done, to get the info from her.

They might even have been advised by a counsellor about how to talk to Casey to get the most cooperation from her: never tell a sociopath you "need" anything. Never expect them to care about you or how you feel. Always act as if you think their feelings are the most important thing. This is the only way to keep their trust. Feed their egos and pretend it's all about them, and they will trust you and drop their guard eventually. If you show disapproval, even a little bit, you become the enemy.

Never let them know you don't believe their lies, or they'll get paranoid. The way Cindy talks to Casey, looks to me very much as if she's been coached by an expert. JMO. And she did admit she was seeing a counselor to figure out how to deal with Casey, and the counselor had advised her to try to get custody.

Hello ....well I bought the enquirer today just to read what Kiomarie had to say................I think she's kinda weird...wonder how much they payed her for that interview!

But you know, she cant get away with it.  There is no other person who would have wrapped the baby in her own blanket, put her book in there, placed her so close to home, no one but her mother.

No one will ever know with that case as the investigation and evidence was so botched.

However, if it happened today and a little girl was found dead in the parents home, evidence was found on the duct tape to the mom and both parents refused lie detector tests and did not cooperate with the police imagine what we all would be saying?

I am just saying. Apply those same principles to this case and forget the personalities. In covering cases for over 3 years now I have come to one conclusion ... people are capable of anything, especially parents with crimes on this children. One of the saddest and most heart wrenching cases I was ever covered and was involved with was the Marcus Fiesel.

I was actually emailed and comments posted on SM regarding our coverage of this case and how terrible we were by the mother. Actually she made threats and called me every name in the book The next day she was arrested for the murder of her son.

Unfortunately the Jon Benet case is one that will never be solved.

And Casey has always lied to her family and her friends, and they have either believed it or didnt care enough to dispute her word, but the courts will not be like that.  They will not accept the lies.

You're welcome BluesyGram.  You aren't slipping, tho I can understand how it may feel like that at times.   ::MonkeyWink::  Sometimes when I concentrate too much for too long on one area of this mess, I feel the same way as you describe.  There's SO many pieces to this puzzle, I cannot imagine how LE is managing to make any sense of the whole thing.  Seems that when we finally understand one piece, it gives a new and deeper meaning to another piece.  And we don't even have all the pieces.  I take comfort in knowing that very likely LE has been gathering up all the pieces and carefully sorting thru them.  It can be overwhelming to us when a new piece is added.  Which is why it's good to take a break from time to time, get a clearer prospective.  That's what I like about this forum, we can talk these things over with each other.  Looking at things from someone else's point of view can help sharpen our own ideas and such.   ::MonkeyWink::

Well Red, who did you think killed Jon Benet???

IMO, she killed Caylee because Tony rejected her. Because Caylee was inconvenient. She did it the same way people often kill an unwanted cat or dog by taking it to the pound or drowning it in a lake in a bag with a brick. She didn't question her own right to do this.

Somewhere along the line, she lost her ability to see her child as anything other than an extension of herself, hers to do with as she pleased. And she may also have been raised to believe that children are the property of their parents until adulthood, and that nobody has the right to question how you raise your child, even if you destroy that child. It's a fairly common belief, and entire cultures have been based on it. She says "It should have been done years ago," which IMO means that she should either have aborted or exposed Caylee at birth, rather than try to raise a child.

See, I always thought the Jon Benet case was the same way.  I felt her mom wanted her to be so perfect, the house so perfect, the day so perfect, then Jon Benet wet her bed and her Mom was tired and snapped.  The entire family went into defense mode and hid the fact.  But they coulndt leave Jon Benet out in the snow, alone, and that messed up the kidnap story. 

You got that right!  We can only make an educated guess to what happened to Caylee.  I hope justice is done for her and for all the babies that may be harmed or killed in imitation.  KC just cannot get away with this for many reasons.

What got me started on this "quest" was how could Casey & Cindy remember all of the minute details of all of the ficticious people in Casey's life.  Jeff Hopkins, Juliette Lewis, Zanaida, Zenaida' mother, sister, roomate, bosses at work..and whoever.

Not only the details of their life, but their "events'.  Now I have 4 grandchildren..who do not live with me...and I don't think I am controlling...but, believe me I know who the babysitters are and quiz the kids subletly about how they like them, etc.  Reading through Cindy, there is no way in hell she wouldn't have "known" the phone number, met her...known her address...unless...she knew on some level that she didn't exist.  I mean suppose Casey got ill at work..how would she know where to go get Caylee?

I wish some detective or media would contact Cindy's co-workers and find out what she was really like.  And if you notice,  there doesn't seem to be any really close friends of the family...and don't "secrets" prevent them from really letting people in?

Because she was only 2 months away from her 3rd birthday when she died. She was over 3 1/2 feet tall and over 35 lbs.  If you say she was 2, people picture a baby like she was in her pictures over a year ago. She looked like a 3-year-old, not a 2-year-old. IMO saying she was 3 gives a much more accurate picture of what she looked and acted like.

I think Cindy does it also.  Notice how she always says Casey is just like her.  And look how Cindy can change her stories on a dime.  I was thought I was gonna get whiplash.

   The Anthony's have always known something wasnt right with Casey.......always, and I think they were just to busy trying to make her into something she wasnt....They needed to realize there was nothing they could do about Casey and consintrate on Caylee. They should have never said a word to casey, used her past behavior in their favor and taken steps to have Caylee's custody put in their hands.

Yes, Bearly, absolutely.   And for me it was particularly unreal.  I had taken the day off from work and was on dial up at my boyfriend's house.  I was trying to catch up on the boards and was making my usual flippant remarks on the previous thread.  Two hours later I found out and skipped ahead on the boards.

I never doubted for a minute that Caylee was no longer with us, but the news came so quietly (reading it on the web)  that it seems unreal.  It's not like in the movies when things follow according to script and there is appropriate clues and music, you know what I mean?

I feel sort of a depression like women might feel after having a baby or when you have been totally involved in a project and it's over.  (Although I realize this investigation and the trial that will follow is far from over.)

As to the speculation that Casey might have gotten Caylee involved in child pornography, I have a hard time accepting that.  I think though that maybe Casey was running in crowds where it could have eventually happened and therefore maybe someone suggested to her to use drugs to subdue her when she/Casey was trying to party.  I don't think it quite got to the point where Caylee was sexually abused.

I do think it is much more likely that Casey was involved in some kind of sex parties or amateur porno.  I don't think she was a call girl, she didn't have enough money and didn't have enough opportunity.  (She was always on the phone and how can you be a call girl when your child is often with you?)

I do want to ask something of you and other monkeys, however.  Did you notice how fresh and beautiful Caylee was early on and later she did not look so well?  To me, she didn't look her beautiful self when she was in the car seat holding her dollie.  Instead of thriving as she got older, the opposite seemed to be true.


The hardest thing to accept is that we will probably never know what really happened.

I was also on a roller coaster about the meter reader and all that speculation but I have come to one conclusion and that is he saw a bag that wasn't related and his interest came from the foul smell in the woods.  I'm quessing he kept calling cause there was no indication that his lead was being followed up on or he got an attitude from the people he reported his concerns to.

Because of my faith in God and my understanding of God's timing, I see the discovery of the body as a miracle and a blessing.  Just a couple of weeks ago I though we would never find her body at all.

I am praying for the sick dysfunctional people that didn't give Caylee the life she deserved.  The alternative would be to be consumed by hate.

I disagree. Cindy WAS seeing a counselor. She didn't even know Baez when she was first asking Casey questions about Caylee's disappearance. It is hard, exhausting work talking to a real narcissist, and when you know they're going to lie to you anyway, really you pick your battles and you don't waste your time and energy trying to achieve the impossible.

Mytime, you say you would have asked her, and of course you would have, because you hadn't just spent 22 years coping with her. When you have spent 20+ years dealing with a sociopath you might feel differently. Cindy knows that Casey won't care if she cries, yells, etc....Cindy has very little bargaining power with Casey, and the one time she used what little power she had, she lost Caylee.

Her grand, short experiment with "tough love" cost her everything.

I remember this case very well!  Foster care parents need to be supervised far more than they are.  Foster care case workers need to be better trained.  As a former child abuse investigator, I met so many foster care parents I wouldn't leave my dog with!!  I couldn't believe someone actually certified some of these poeple!!   ::MonkeyNoNo::

You being there did not make a tinkers dang in the kingdom of heaven, I feel confident your Grandmother made it and would probably have been delighted you made the concert. Please do not put regrets on yourself. We all usually have them when we lose someone close but there is really no reason. We do what we can at the time. I had some regrets at some of my losses but you know what? ...it respects them more to remember the good times with them rather than our own loss. Time can not go back, only forward. Try to live with the good memories and your energy focused on the moving forward. However, we feel what we feel, and I wish you peace.

This is the kind of thing that can go either way, some are consciously aware of what they do, others may have some degree of awareness, while others haven't a clue.  I do believe the answer is in helping a person to become aware of what their belief systems and realities are, how it is or isn't helping them to function in healthy ways, and to make changes as needed to face life living one current reality. 

 

She had no idea. for some reason, that they would actually check her story out.  Imagine!!!!  Going to Universal, walking down the halls...left, right, left , right...turn around...I lied...I don't work here....Unfathomable!!!!  Did she think they were going to stop her and say...Oh, guess you do work here, nevermind.

Fuzzball, I completely agree with what you are saying about Casey.  No doubt, she is a true sociopath.  However, were I differ from you is CA. 

I know CA saw a counselor - don't know haw many times though!  IMO, I hardly think that CA was going to have someone else tell her how to handle her own daughter.  She always knows best!!  She may have used custody of Caylee to threaten Casey but still never acted on it.

I truly believe CA has some kind of personality disorder as well.  She couldn't even take advise from her free experienced lawyer - Nejames.

If she truly knows Casey was a sociopath then why perpetuate the fraud!!  To gain Casey trust??  I just don't think so.  Just my opinion!!

I did notice how Caylee looked confused and scared toward the end.  It did not escape me that it appeared Lee enjoyed torturing her also.  Wonder what that was about.  Was he jealous?  We have gone over the 'maybe Lee is the father' thing many times.  Can we think of another reason?

Excellent Post - Caylee was still cute as can be in the last video of her singing to her GGP.  I will have to look at some other pictures and get back to you on that,  I really hadn't noticed it!

The things that convinced me in that case, were:
 
1) Before the police arrived, Patsy had 5 friends over (at 6 AM???) to help her clean. They scrubbed down the kitchen, bathrooms, etc...and of course left prints all over the house.

2) They denied for years that anyone in the family had a "high-tech" sneaker, but Burke and Patsy both said years later that Burke had shoes with compasses on the laces. There's only one kind of shoe like that--"Hi-techs."

3) Hundreds of suspects had their handwriting compared to that letter over the years, and only Patsy's ever matched. Plus who writes a practice ransom note at the victim's house? A kidnapper would have come with one ready, or sent one later, not sit in the house writing one.

***4) The Ramseys did everything they could to ruin the crime scene--moved the body, removed the duct tape, scrubbed down the house, had 5 people running in and out of the house while the police were there, as well. 

The ransom was for the exact amount of John's bonus, rather than for his whole income or life savings. Kidnappers don't ask for a reasonable share of your income, they want it all. You know who asks for a reasonable share of your income? Your wife, that's who.

And even though the note specified the kidnappers would call at a certain time, the Ramseys didn't appear to expect that call. They didn't get anxious as the time neared, or watch the clock, or anything. Clearly the ransom was just in the note to give John an excuse to go to the bank and get money for their trip so they wouldn't miss their plane. They were more concerned with getting out of town and taking their vacation, than with their daughter's death.

Finally, the DNA "exonerating" the Ramsey family is overstating the case. All it really proves is that no male of the family ejaculated or bled on her during the two days before her death. It doesn't prove they didn't kill her. It doesn't even prove that they were innocent of molestation prior to that.

I personally believe the bedwetting theory. Because if there were a man in that house that night, who did things to JBR, he was not a stranger, or an intruder. He was the family's invited guest, and they guarded his secret with their lives and their children's. I'd rather believe the Mom did it.

It really is amazing the huge amount of detail Casey remembers and her very quick recall of things that, quite frankly, would seem hard for the average person to remember offhand.  She's got characters and elements of several different movies, for example, and what you mentioned, ficticious people in her life.  Then there are the actual people and events in her life with her own spin, plus a one-up mentality.  Am not sure how she keeps all the minute details straight in her own mind, without her head exploding!  lol  But very odd that she and Cindy can do this, while at the same time *not remember* the very basic day-to-day details that are common to most of us.  Like the sitter's name, where she lives, her phone number, etc.  They can't remember or they didn't get it together enough to make a planB in case no one believed them.  (And yet, sociopaths tend to live life expecting others to believe them, I don't think they are used to making planB's). 

I'm with you, sure do hope LE has contacted friends/co-workers/family of Cindy and Casey both, to get the big picture of what their experiences have been with these two.  That would be VERY telling!  Course, LE may have already been on top of this from the start, we aren't privy to everything they've done and know. 

Yes, secrets can and do prevent people from letting others in.  Walls can be built where no one is allowed to get near, let alone get beyond.  What speaks volumes to me is that there doesn't seem to be any family or co-workers gathered close to the A's for comfort and support.  This tells me that very likely Cindy and Casey both have burned bridges with those folks and they learned to keep their distance, for their own comfort levels, etc.

Bearly, I think our emotions are just raw, and the details seem so important. I think that everyday when I log in and see  just reported by mother #, and I just want to say ARRRGGG she NEVER reported her missing. If she hadn't left Amy's resume in the car, if Amy hadn't answered her phone, if she and Tony had gone out, if, if, if, we may have never have known Caylee was missing!!!

I think Cindy is definitely OCD, and possibly has some other personality disorders. I think she uses guilt and drama on others, because she herself is a sucker for guilt and drama. Since they work so well on her she can't imagine that Casey or George would be immune to them. She makes elaborate excuses for Casey because the truth hurts too much. I agree she's a control freak, that she should have taken custody instantly or shut up, that she made empty threats and was an inconsistent and poor parent, and that she didn't do enough to protect Caylee. 

All I disagree about really is the idea that she could have gotten Casey to tell the truth. She couldn't. Nobody could. And that she made her a sociopath by spoiling her. I don't think that's possible either.

Mytime, I know how you feel..the more I tried to put things together...the dizzier I got.  It all led back to the beginning of the circle.  That is what led me on this "quest" for the alternative reality thing.  It was the only thing that made sense to me.  But in order for me to really accept it was that both Cindy and Casey do/had it.

A lot of people do this and some have obviously made a fortune at it.  But a couple of those people who commented said they have trouble keeping it separate.  Wyks gave a good explanation of how this tragedy could have happened because of it.  And of course the tragedy didn't end it..they are still doing it...guess they just wrote it in the script, with a few changes as it goes along.

There was that talk about Lee being cold toward his sister when he found out she was pregnant.  Maybe he is protective of Casey and expected better for her (than to have a child and not be married) and he never got over that.  It seems like the people in that family have poor coping skills, perhaps Lee just doesn't know how to relate to children.

I think the thought that a child is a blessing, regardless of circumstances, might be a foreign concept to Lee.

Perhaps we are making too much of Lee taunting Caylee . . . in my family the men liked to tease girls mercilessly.  I chalk it up to the men not knowing how to show affection appropriately.  I was pinned on the floor and tickled, stuff like that.  There are even pictures taken of me when I was growing up that would give an impression that I was being psychologically abused.

I grew up to be OK with all of it and to understand that the men in my family don't know how to appropriately show love.  Too bad Caylee didn't have the same chance to grow up to be a woman.

I cant help but wonder what Casey is thinking sitting in her little cell tonight............Knowing that she killed her little girl, lied about it to everyone,lost the boyfriend that she hoped to have a long relationship with, and now what does she think her future holds for her
   She has to know that she is in for a long Prison term....
   She has to know that at 22 she has lost her life for what?
   Is she even thinking about ever telling the truth?
   Does she feel guilty?
   Does she wish she had never done this horrible deed?
   Does she ever think about that day and what she did?
 


I just wish someone could get into her brain and see just what is going on in there, because thats the only way anyone will ever know the truth, for it will never come out of her mouth Im sure.
