  Is it raining now Muffy. Did you wash your car to make it rain?

I guess I'm just lucky today. I got a freebie    It's raining and I didn't even wash the car.   

JSM, if you put your hand on your dryer, does it feel really hot?  And your clothes are taking a long time to dry?  It might not be the dryer going kaput.  Maybe the vent is clogged up behind the dryer or even the vent itself.

The complaint that a dryer takes too long to dry is most often caused by the dryer’s vent being blocked with lint. Dryers need to be properly vented or the moisture in the air can’t be carried away.

You may not have time right now to deal with this, but it might save you a service call.  If it's the vent that goes from your washer and out to roof top (if you're second floor), or anywhere past where you connect the vent hose to the wall, that would be a call to your apt. maintenance.  And this can be a fire hazard.  If you put your hand on the outside of your dryer and it feels hot to touch, it's probably the venting, and you will need to get it checked.  You ever use one of the appliance brushes and clean/vac around in the filter area?  Of course, you're supposed to clean the dryer filter after each use.  And you can put the filter in the dishwasher from time to time, because if you use dryer sheets, after a time it kinda coats the filter and air doesn't flow as well through it.

Oh, you are right no rose-humidity!  It's been so hot and everything is so dry here lately all I was thinking about was the rain.  I lived near the coast some years ago and ugh it was so humid.  My hair would stick to my head, make up would run, and eye glasses would steam up.

Here in So Ca it usually doesn't get real humid, but we have had days that reminded me of the Midwest with the humidity. Tomorrow and Sat should be real hot here, but dryer heat. But for me heat is heat, and I hate it    Hate that when make up runs, and my hair doesn't stick to my head but it starts to itch real bad from the heat and my allergies.

Oil Rig on Gulf exploded this morning.  12 people in water one missing   

Green Eyes - my daughter would like the grey one and the black and white one.  She says she wants two so they will not be lonely.

You can have the gray one, I am sure my daughter would be happy to have the black and white one and any one it its siblings.  Who ever has the jet can we fire it up and do a cat run to Green Eyes?

  That sounds like a good idea, and the little black one is adorable also, heck they all are 

Green Eyes did you want me to bring anything when we come by Jet?  How about some nice garden potatoes and carrots?  I have some really nice Saskatoon jam I made that I will bring as well.  It was a great year for Saskatoons this year.  Jet can come get me, do a quick stop in BC as my Uncle has been catching his daily limit of Sockeye since the season opened and he has some for me that I want to smoke, I am sure I can get a few salmon for anyone else who wants some as he has two freezers full already, then pick up No Rose and off to visit Green Eyes!

I love saskatoons and there was a bumper crop this year.  Kids and I picked two ice cream buckets full in under an hour.  Not seen many blueberries in the bush this year though.

And, though thought of as a berry, a Saskatoon Berry is actually a "pome" and closer to an apple in structure.

  Glad you got a freebie yesterday Muffy. Thanks for the info on the dryer. I think my problem was I was impatient and over loaded it    I have always made sure the filter is clean because a lady I worked with once had her dryer catch on fire while she was luckily at home. Never do I run it when I am away just because of that.

Hi No Rose, you are not mixed up. I leave at 7:30 am, which means my mom will be here at 5:45 am and I have  been up since 3 am because I can't sleep before I get on a plane.  I guess that is a good thing so I don't over sleep.

  Hi Mission. I will miss you all tremendously. I wish I could post from the stupid iphone, but I am stupid and my password doesn't seem to work anymore when i try to log in on it from the phone. I don't want to bother Klaas for the millionth time asking my password so hopefully I can get it to work while I am away. If not, I will be reading and thinking of all of you even if I can't post.
