Thanks for translating for us.  Doesn't this seem like too little/too late?  Should this not have been done much earlier to prevent the destruction of potential evidence?

UPDATE 27: Hasibokos.com has just received information that the police raided the house of  Joran van der Sloot just before noon on Wednesday and confiscated various items, including the two cars of his parents, Anita and Paulus van der Sloot.

UPDATE 26: The Aruban newspaper, AweMeinta, opened their Wednesday edition with the following headline: “Tata di Joran cu caso kontra Ministerio Publico”, the translation of this headline is: “Joran’s father takes justice ministry to court”. The article relates that Joran’s father, Paulus van der Sloot, has lost his patience. Paulus van der Sloot is taking the justice ministry to court because, unlike Joran’s mother who has visited Joran, he hasn’t been allowed to visit his son since his arrest. Van der Sloot is also mad because Joran’s attorney, Antonio Carlo,  has been dismissed by the justice  ministry. The case is supposed to begin today in Aruban court.

Do they expect that he would keep any evidence in that house for this long?  That his clothes haven't been washed or thrown away?  My gosh!!!  2 1/2 weeks is a very long time!!!!!

too many reports of 'date rape' drugs.  No idea if they are true, but no way would I let my child go anywhere except inside the good ole US.  Anything can happen here, but at least we have cops that know how to conduct an investigation.

Date rape drugs are unfortunately used here in the US also.  Kids need to be careful in all situations whether here at home or abroad.  Never go out alone, don't leave a drink unattended and watch each other's back.

i am a antillian living in miami florida  southbeach  and that "date rape" drug your talking about is called GHB formaly known as "g "  people take this drug not only for raping purposes but aswell to have that extacy feeling and miami is the begist supplier of this drug it was invented in chicago, Body builders used to take this drug to pump them up, ofcourse you take to much of it it has the oposite affect and when mixed with alcohol it clears out your memory, not to talk bad abuot US but this is where this drug started in the first place :0)
